- Over the years, Michael has appeared as an extra in dozens of films, commercials and television shows. He concentrates on writing, but he does work as an actor occasionally. In 1995, he had a starring role as a doomed car salesman in the student film, Holding On. Two years later, he appeared as a rogue CIA operative in the action film Midnight Conflict. He also wrote and directed the film. In 1998, Dunn wrote the screenplay for the upcoming film, The Violator. He has been involved with several other productions that were filmed in Orlando, Florida. - As a director, his use of color is unlike any other film maker. He seems to favor a film-noir style with his darkness and shadows. He often mixes down to just two colors (Midnight Conflict, The Standoff): Black/Green, Black/Blue or Black/Sephia.
- As a director, he likes to use very rapid cuts and several camera angles to give the scene (usually action sequences) a dramatic look.
- Originally majored in Engineering at the University of Central Florida. He paid for his college classes by working as a computer technician.
