The prequel of American crime drama series ‘Breaking Bad’ ‘Better Call Saul’, is set to premiere in Hindi on Indian television from April 1.
Created by Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould, ‘Better Call Saul’, which is set in the early-to-mid-2000s in Albuquerque, New Mexico, delves into the evolution of Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk), a struggling lawyer, into the shrewd and morally complex attorney Saul Goodman.
Set within the same universe as ‘Breaking Bad’, the show offers a deep dive into Jimmy’s journey, his encounters with ethical dilemmas, and his eventual embrace of his alter ego.
The show also stars Jonathan Banks, Rhea Seehorn, Patrick Fabian, Michael Mando, Giancarlo Esposito, and Tony Dalton in pivotal roles.
The show has received 53 Emmy Award nominations, with Bob receiving six nominations for ‘Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series’. After six seasons, the series concluded in August 2022.

After six seasons and 53 Emmy nominations, including seven for Outstanding Drama Series, Better Call Saul has left us without a single win.
The critically acclaimed Breaking Bad prequel was nominated for seven Emmys tonight, including Outstanding Drama Series, Lead Actor for Bob Odenkirk as Saul Goodman, Supporting Actress for Rhea Seehorn as Kim Wexler, as well as Picture Editing, Short Form Comedy, Drama or Variety Series, Sound Mixing and two nominations in the Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series category for the “Point and Shoot” episode and series finale, “Saul Gone”, but came up empty for all.
The series somehow, despite its acclaim, never matched the awards success of the mothership series, which won 16 Emmys out of 58 nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series, four Lead Actor wins for Bryan Cranston, three for Aaron Paul in the supporting actor category and one for Anna Gunn for supporting actress.

As if paying penance for starring in all five “After” films to date — a series that’s been criticized for glamorizing toxic, controlling relationships à la “Twilight” and “50 Shades” before it — Josephine Langford now dallies on the decidedly wholesome side of romantic complication in “The Other Zoey.” This innocuous comedy, hinging on a gimmicky plot contrivance, doesn’t transcend formula even when it’s winking at the clichés it caves to. Still, it’s a pleasant enough diversion for those who want familiar genre beats sounded by the usual attractive actors in the customary attractive settings. That audience seems unlikely to stampede Brainstorm Media’s limited theatrical release on Friday, as this is exactly the sort of comfort-food fare one expects to stream at home — an option arriving November 10th.

"You have to go after what you want, and be brave!" Brainstorm Media has revealed an official trailer for a romantic comedy called The Other Zoey, the second feature made by an up-and-coming filmmaker named Sara Zandieh. Opening in theaters later in October if anyone wants to find out who she picks. Zoey Miller, a super smart computer nerd who is uninterested in romantic love ("determined to challenge conventional notions of love and relationships"), has her life turned upside down when Zack, the school's soccer star, gets amnesia and mistakes Zoey for his girlfriend, who also happens to share the same name, Zoey. Directed by Sara Zandieh, the film features a talented ensemble cast, including Josephine Langford, Drew Starkey, Archie Renaux, Mallori Johnson, Patrick Fabian, Heather Graham, and Andie MacDowell, The Other Zoey promises to be an enjoyable romantic-comedy with a "fresh look" at love & dating. Everything about this is super cheesy,...

New Delhi, Sep 21 (Ians) The trailer for actress Josephine Langford’s new rom-com film ‘The Other Zoey’, and is a fun and light-hearted teen-drama-romance-dramedy which shows the blooming of an accidental and unlikely romance.
The trailer follows the character of Zoey Miller (Langford), a super smart computer major who is completely uninterested in romance and is rather a snobby know-it-all.
A take on the stereotypical American portrayal of intellectual girls, Zoey has her life thrown upside down when Zach (Starkey), a typical popular college soccer player whom she has little interest in, and even a certain level of dislike, gets amnesia.
Initially, the two start off on completely wrong terms with Zack passing snarky and sarcastic remarks while Zoey takes a dig at his sarcasm and wisecracks. Both part ways with an instant dislike.
Things suddenly turn around when one day a car rams into Zack, leading him to becoming an amnesiac.

The WGA and SAG-AFTRA picket lines have been a start-studded affair filled with familiar faces from your favorite shows as they fight alongside their unions for a better future working in the industry. Among one of the most consistent picketers is Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad favorite Bob Odenkirk. Since May, the actor has been picketing alongside writers for the WGA strike and continues to rally around his fellow performers as they strike for SAG-AFTRA (which started in July). Most recently, Odenkirk got together with pals from the Better Call Saul team including stars Luis and Daniel Moncada, who play the Salamanca twins, and Patrick Fabian, who played Jimmy’s lawyer nemesis Howard, plus series creator Peter Gould and other writers and creatives from the Breaking Bad spinoff. “An amazing assemblage of Bcs folks,” Odenkirk wrote, sharing the group photo to social media on Tuesday, August 22, at the Day of Solidarity union rally.

It’s Day 1 of the SAG-AFTRA strike and Day 74 of the WGA strike.
The stars are out in force on the first day of the actors strike and, as Parks and Recreation co-creator Mike Schur said, “Now a thousand very attractive people have shown up and joined the lines, it’s an enormous amount of wind in our sails”.
Schur, a member of the WGA negotiating committee who also starred as Mose Schrute on The Office, was joined by a slew of big-name actors including Allison Janney, Timothy Olyphant, Josh Gad, Ben Schwartz, Sean Astin, Charlie Barnett, Joey King, Chloe Fineman, Susan Sarandon, Ginnifer Goodwin, Patton Oswalt, Marg Helgenberger, Jake McDorman, Constance Zimmer, Michelle Hurd and Jason Sudeikis across picket lines in LA and New York.
Skye P. Marshall, who is a lead on CBS’ upcoming reboot of Matlock alongside Kathy Bates, told Deadline that the actors’ craft needs to be respected.

This article contains light spoilers for Better Call Saul season 6.
One of the most artistic scenes in either Better Call Saul or its parent show, Breaking Bad, is the cold open to the sixth season premiere episode. The audience is taken through Saul Goodman’s house in a first person point of view camera angle. A variety of items belonging to Saul throughout his adult life that have been previously seen in the two shows reappear here. From shoes Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) wore when walking at the mall with old ladies during a scheme, to his exotic tie collection, the scene indicates that Saul’s entire life is being escorted out of his house by movers.
The most important item that the camera focuses on is a bottle topper that falls out of a dresser drawer as it’s being lifted onto the moving van. This isn’t any ordinary cap,...

In a virtual appearance today at Deadline’s Contenders TV, Better Call Saul‘s Bob Odenkirk reflected on the opportunity he had to work with screen legend Carol Burnett over the course of the Breaking Bad prequel’s final season.
“She’s just a great actress — completely connected, completely grounded, utterly with it. With somebody who’s a legend like that, someone who’s older, you worry if you’re going to have to work around them a little — and not at all,” the two-time Emmy winner shared. “She was utterly present, ready to rip it up. She knew her lines, she knew her part so well…It was a beautiful performance. She must get nominated now, come on.”

Bob Odenkirk is a lucky guy. For starters, he’s managed to cultivate a career path that spans multiple genres. His cult Nineties sketch series Mr Show arguably kickstarted modern alternative comedy, an area Odenkirk has subtly shaped in the years since by giving creative breaks to the likes of Tenacious D and Tim and Eric. Then a successful rebrand as a dramatic actor led to his unforgettable conman-turned-lawyer Saul Goodman in Breaking Bad and its prequel series Better Call Saul, and his surprise turn as an unassuming neighbourhood hardman in 2021 punch-a-thon Nobody. As if that wasn’t enough, he’s also cheated death.
He was partway through filming the final season of Saul when it happened. As production paused and the crew began setting up a new shot, Odenkirk returned to the exercise bike he often used while watching Chicago Cubs baseball games between scenes. Suddenly he fell to his knees,...

Spoilers for "Better Call Saul" follow.
In prequels, foregone conclusions are, well, foregone. The writers crafting the stories and the audiences watching them know ahead of time that the characters have to end in the spot where we first met them in the original story. Likewise, newly introduced characters who weren't in the original have to be taken off the board — sometimes lethally.
"Better Call Saul" acknowledges this from the beginning. The very first scene of the series actually takes place after "Breaking Bad" — former criminal lawyer Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) is in hiding, living as Omaha Cinnabon manager Gene Takovic. As I've written before, the show comes with the built-in tragedy that "Slippin' Jimmy" McGill, a plucky lawyer trying to go straight, will one day become the consigliere of Walter "Heisenberg" White (Bryan Cranston).
There are five major characters in "Better Call Saul" who were nowhere to be seen...

The latest Warner Animated DC feature film adapts the 2000-2001 Elseworlds miniseries Batman: The Doom that Came to Gotham. The fun of the Elseworlds comics, and soon the live-action versions under the new artistic regime, is taking the familiar and imagining them in other times and other places. Here, we do back to the early 20th century and overlay it with a dose of Loftcraftian horror.

This post contains spoilers for the series finale of "Better Call Saul."
"Better Call Saul" season 6 offers one last bit of wordplay with the title of its 13th episode, the series finale, "Saul Gone." Unfortunately, yes, it's all gone now; "Better Call Saul" has ended, while Bob Odenkirk has already moved onto another AMC show, "Lucky Hank," which our review calls "a series struggling to find itself." However, thanks to its current streaming availability on Netflix, you can always go visit Jimmy McGill, aka Saul Goodman, there — much like Kim Wexler (Rhea Seehorn) goes to visit him in prison at the end of "Saul Gone."
It turns out Jimmy and Kim's final scene together in "Better Call Saul" was also "the very last scene" that the show's cast and crew shot. The night "Saul Gone" first aired, in August 2022, co-showrunner Peter Gould offered a partial post-mortem of the episode in an interview with Vanity Fair.

Based on a 2001 three-issue comic book miniseries written by Hellboy creator Mike Mignola and Richard Pace, Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham is an alternate-world tale that introduced an alternate version of Bruce Wayne and the residents of Gotham to Lovecraftian horrors. It’s the most overtly horrific entry in the animated Batman franchise as well as the strangest.
In the 1920s an expedition led by Bruce Wayne arrives in Antarctica looking for another expedition, this one led by Professor Cobblepot. What he finds instead are mutated creatures and the professor’s undead assistant Grendon whom he brings back to Gotham.

Exclusive: Following six seasons as Howard Hamlin on AMC’s megahit Better Call Saul, Patrick Fabian has signed on to lead the indie The Way We Speak from writer-director Ian Ebright (From the Sky).
Billed as an allegory about America’s fractured politics and culture, the film follows Simon (Fabian), an up-and-coming commentator whose world is turned upside down when his best friend and debate opponent suffers a fatal heart attack. Simon refuses to leave the spotlight at an annual thought-leader summit, leading to an obsession with his new opponent and a growing rift with his ailing wife, Claire (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit’s Diana Coconubo).
Ebright’s Broken Telegraph is producing the pic, also to star Kailey Rhodes (Black Pool), Ayanna Berkshire (Twilight) and Lowell Deo (Z Nation). Fabian is repped by The Kohner Agency and Essential Talent Management.

This article contains spoilers for all of Better Call Saul.
Halfway through Better Call Saul’s fifth season, we arrived at the moment the whole series had been building up to. A story about the origins of Breaking Bad’s comic relief lawyer had become a Cain-and-Abel war between two embittered brothers then, in turn, a strange and unexpected love story between the dodgy-but-decent Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk) and the driven, brilliant Kim Wexler (Rhea Seehorn) – two lawyers with very different approaches to the law. It was a relationship doomed to destruction, not least because Kim was nowhere to be seen in Breaking Bad.
Finally, their endpoint had arrived. Their scheming had gone too far. Facing off in their apartment, she was laying it all out for him – for all the fun they’d had together, it was time to let go.
A heavy, desperate pause. Then Kim says: “Or maybe we get married.

Snow Falls opens with a warning sign, a pair of ravens sitting on the sign welcoming the characters to the town of Snow Falls. A bigger warning sign for the viewer however should be the squabbling going on inside their vehicle. Complaints about someone studying, somebody sitting with their feet on the dash, or someone else not wearing a seat belt. The kind of pointless bitching that makes you wonder why these people hang out together.
But the five of them, Kit, Em, Eden, Andy and River are on their way to spend New Year’s Eve at a massive “cabin” owned by River’s family. “This is your second home?” “Third if you count the one we’re building on Martha’s Vinyard”.

Snow Falls is a horror film directed by Colton Tran starring Jonathan Bennett, Patrick Fabian and Victoria Moroles.
A low budget film about some young people isolated in a log cabin that is just a horror film about young people, evolves as that and behaves as that, simply along the lines of pre-established parameters.
It is up to scratch technically and rhythmically, but the script falls short.
Storyline
Some friends are trapped in a winter storm. With no electricity and barely any food, they will be prey to terror, paranoia and deep dread about the snow that surrounds them.
Review Snow Falls (2023)
Five young middle class (upper middle class) drinking shots of whiskey and enjoying their youth in a horror film. We have seen the pattern stated so many times in horror films that right from the beginning we feel a certain weariness in spite of the good presentation in the vein of The Shining.

Bloody Disgusting has an exclusive clip Lionsgate’s Snow Falls, which stars Mean Girls’ Jonathan Bennett.
In the film…
“After a winter storm strands five friends in a remote cabin with no power and little food, disorientation slowly claims their sanity as each of them succumbs to a fear that the snow itself may be contaminated or somehow evil.”
Directed by Colton Tran, Snow Falls also stars John Berchtold (A Hard Problem), Victoria Moroles (“Teen Wolf”), Anne Grace Barlow (“The Fosters”), and Patrick Fabian (“Better Call Saul”).
The trailer looked a bit like a winter-set Cabin Fever, with a virus and subsequential madness, while the clip offers up the addition of a spooky snowman!
It will be released on demand and digital January 17th.

During our introduction to Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) way back in season 2 of "Breaking Bad", we quickly learned he had more layers than you would guess at first glance. As he offhandedly mentions to Walter White, "Saul Goodman" is just his professional pseudonym and his real name is "McGill." That line didn't get any follow-up in "Breaking Bad," where Saul remained a sleazy, hilarious criminal lawyer, but it was the bedrock of the prequel series, "Better Call Saul."
Contrary to its title, "Better Call Saul" actually didn't feature the character who'd charmed fans that much. Instead, as we've covered before, the show was much more interested in the man behind the name: James Morgan McGill. A former con man trying to make it as an honest lawyer, the comedy and pathos of "Better Call Saul" comes from Jimmy's inability to escape his old ways. Still, it takes him time to run away from himself.

We talk about snubs all the time when discussing awards. With only a fixed number of slots for each category and only one possible winner, someone is always going to be on the outside looking in. But when it happens enough times to someone deserving, one truly has to wonder what it is that voters aren’t seeing.
For years, critics and fans alike were baffled by numerous voting bodies consistently overlooking the tremendous work of “Better Call Saul” star Rhea Seehorn, who brought layers of complexity to mostly by-the-book lawyer Kim Wexler throughout the show’s stellar six-season run on AMC. The Critics Choice Awards, while late to the game, has actually recognized Seehorn more often than other groups, having first nominated her for Best Drama Supporting Actress for her work in the show’s fourth season in 2018. She was nominated again for Season 5, and while it looked like...

"What if the snow is contaminated?" Lionsgate has unveiled an official trailer for an indie horror thriller titled Snow Falls, the latest from young filmmaker Colton Tran. This one is being released direct-to-vod in January and hasn't played at any festivals, which should be a pretty good indication of the quality. After a winter storm strands five friends staying in a remote cabin for New Years Eve with no power and little food, disorientation slowly claims their sanity as each of them succumbs to a fear that the snow itself (that they ate as snow cones) may be contaminated or somehow… evil. But maybe it's not really the snow?? The film stars Victoria Moroles, Anna Grace Barlow , Johnny Berchtold, Jonathan Bennett, and Patrick Fabian. This looks really cheesy and cheap, not surprised they are dumping it in January. How much you want to bet all this happening is just in their heads?...

Bloody Disgusting has learned today that Scripts Gone Wild returns to El Cid on November 30 at 7pm for a Christmas-centric reading of the Bob Clark horror classic, Black Christmas.

After leaving the Emmys empty handed last month, “Better Call Saul” hopes to find success at the SAG Awards. The AMC hit told the tale of Jimmy McGill becoming the sleazy but charming lawyer Saul Goodman from “Breaking Bad.”
The extended sixth and final season saw the timelines of both series collide and ended with a greyscale exploration Jimmy’s life beyond “Bad”. It touched on themes of redemption, regrets and choices. Spin-offs rarely impress and final seasons often disappoint, but “Saul” ended with critical favor comparable with that of its predecessor. The final season scored an impressive 95 on Metacritic.
“Saul” has received 46 Emmy nominations over the years and won… none! At SAG it has also failed to pick up a gong and has been less successful with nominations. Perhaps being overlooked by the TV academy could add some fuel to the show’s overdue status. There are three SAG...

“Saul” has received 46 Emmy nominations over the years and won… none! At SAG it has also failed to pick up a gong and has been less successful with nominations. Perhaps being overlooked by the TV academy could add some fuel to the show’s overdue status. There are three SAG...

Last month, it was announced that Sony Pictures TV had given a two-season order for a new series from Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan – a series that has been described as a “blended, grounded genre drama” that’s something along the lines of the classic Rod Serling show The Twilight Zone. Now The Hollywood Reporter has broken the news that Gilligan’s Better Call Saul cast member Rhea Seehorn is following him over to the new show and has signed on to play the lead role. This untitled series will be released through Apple TV+.
Former Sony Pictures TV presidents Zack Van Amburg and Jamie Erlicht, who greenlit Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul when they were at Sony, are now the heads of Apple’s streaming portfolio. Former Sony Pictures TV Studios co-president Chris Parnell is now at Apple as well, working as the senior TV programming executive.

After five seasons without recognition at the Emmys for her work on AMC’s “Better Call Saul,” Rhea Seehorn finally broke into Best Drama Supporting Actress this year for her stellar performance in the first half of the sixth season (she’s also nominated for Best Short Form Actress for “Cooper’s Bar”). Seehorn joins a long list of main cast members who were overlooked for Emmy nominations until late in their series’ runs, including Kit Harington for “Game of Thrones,” Jennifer Aniston for “Friends,” Pat Harrington Jr. for “One Day At A Time,” and the entire cast of “Schitt’s Creek.” She is nominated for portraying lawyer Kim Wexler, Jimmy McGill’s (Bob Odenkirk) wife on the series.
Seehorn’s submission is the fourth episode of season six, “Hit and Run,” which centers around Kim’s continuing plot against her former boss, Howard Hamlin (Patrick Fabian), to sabotage his career. She...

Bob Odenkirk is up for Best Drama Actor for the fifth time at the Emmys, having been nominated for every season of “Better Call Saul” except for the last, when he was oddly and egregiously snubbed for his performance as Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman in the fifth cycle. This is his 11th nomination for the AMC series – he’s also a producer on the show and nominated for Best Drama – and his 18th overall, having won for the writing teams of sketch comedies “Saturday Night Live” in 1989 and “The Ben Stiller Show” in 1993.
See Will ‘Better Call Saul’ finally break through with an Emmy win?
Odenkirk’s episode submission is the midseason finale titled “Plan and Execution,” which also has a writing nom for Thomas Schnauz. The episode is the culmination of Jimmy and his wife Kim Wexler’s (Rhea Seehorn) plot to take down their former boss, Howard Hamlin...

Warning: This article contains spoilers for the series finale of "Better Call Saul."
From his introduction in Season 2 of "Breaking Bad," Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) was an instant fan favorite. With his silver tongue, sharp suits, and canny brain, he is the perfect legal advisor to Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and his expanding drug empire. As Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) puts it, "When the going gets tough, you don't want a criminal lawyer, you want a criminal lawyer."
"Better Call Saul" gave us more insight into Saul, aka Jimmy McGill, and his descent into the seedy criminal lifestyle he inhabits in "Breaking Bad." Ranging from his ace moments in court to his colorful scams, or even just touching personal moments, here is a selection of our favorite moments from Saul Goodman in both series. He's a nuanced, entertaining character, masterfully played by Odenkirk, who perfectly judges each character beat, hitting...

With the conclusion of Better Call Saul’s final season, it looks like audiences around the world have to accept that Vince Gilligan’s New Mexico meth-verse has come to a close. With more than 120 episodes between Breaking Bad and its prequel series, we’ve been treated to some of the greatest televised entertainment ever produced. Not many thought that this creative team could make a spinoff series that would rival the original in just about every measurable category, but that’s exactly what happened.
All of this means we can finally do a comprehensive break-down to decide which show is the better overall product. From the uncanny acting ability of Bryan Cranston and Bob Odenkirk, to the pristine neo-Western style of the cinematography, a lot of factors will sway our decision. The one thing we know for sure is that we will be hard pressed to ever be treated...
