Born in Valls (1953), Catalonia, he studied cinematography in Rome at
'Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia',
Italy, and then moved to Berlin, Germany. Back to Catalonia he began
making films in Catalan language. He has directed several films,
including TV movies and documentaries.
In Italy he worked for
Tinto Brass,
Marco Bellocchio or
Michelangelo Antonioni. With
Antonioni, Ferré and he were good friends, and he even stayed at his
home, when we lived with
Monica Vitti during their divorce.
His first fiction movie was a zombie-terror film written by Isabel Coixet.
