- Principal dancer with the Royal Ballet of London.
- Allegra Kent, a ballet dancer with the New York City Ballet, was the one that told him about Pilates.
- He did a lot of the dance sequences on "The Muppet Show". When Raquel Welsh and Rudolph Nureyev did pas de deuxs, he was in the Muppet costume. When Nureyev mentioned he always wanted to dance with Miss Piggy, Fletcher was in the "ballerina pig" costume.
- He founded his own dance company, Graham Fletcher's Dance Activate--for which he serves as Artistic Director.

In 1979 he became a principal dancer appearing in numerous major roles and working with choreographic greats such as Sir Frederick Ashton, Dame Ninette de Valois, Sir Kenneth MacMillan, Rudolf Nureyev, Jerome Robbins, Gillian Lynne and George Balanchine.
