In the pantheon of Erotic Thrillers, Body of Evidence is an odd one. It falls into the even more niche sub-category of courtroom thrillers, which spend as much time on the naughty bits as they do with witnesses on the stand or in depositions (see also: Disclosure).
Enter Body of Evidence. In the film, femme fatale Rebecca Carlson (Madonna) is arrested and charged with murder when her older, wealthy boyfriend John Marsh (Michael Forest) is found dead. Turns out the pair had quite the risqué sex life (or at least as risqué as mainstream Hollywood fare was willing to address in 1993): they were having non-missionary sex that involved some light bondage (ie: restraints such as belts and handcuffs).
District Attorney Robert Garrett (Joe Mantegna) makes it clear to the jury in his opening remarks that Rebecca’s body is the murder weapon. She induced Marsh’s fatal heart attack...

Happy New Year!
I was never so glad to say those words as I was at midnight, seven days ago.
2014 was the best year of my life professionally. Without saying why, that’s saying something. On the flip side, 2014 was the worst year of my life personally.
All my life I’ve known that money can’t buy happiness. This pass year I’ve learned money can’t buy anything of real value. Not in my life anyhow, or so I thought.
What I want and need, I can’t have. Dead Presidents can do a lot but raising the dead it can’t and with that, way to telling line, I’m done with my self pity shit.
In six days, if Mr. Gold is nice and runs this piece today or in five days if he runs it tomorrow, the crowd funding efforts of Bad Boy Studio alumni,...

November 8th marked the kickoff of the Urban Action Showcase weekend in New York City. It was presented by Mr. Demetrius Angelo of Asc Productions. The event was to be a celebration of action and martial arts film for all people of color, as well as a celebration of diversity in film-making, and it delivered. The main exhibition was hosted at the New York Hilton and peripheral events were at the HBO building, and AMC’s Times Square Theater.
In attendance were some of the best in the business. Most notably Michael Jai White, of “Spawn”, new wave cult classic “Black Dynamite”, and “Blood And Bone” along with Kelly Hu, the two currently star on the WB’s “Arrow” as Bronze Tiger and China White respectively.
