Cyndy Garvey has sued UCLA over tuition costs she has had wrongfully leveled against her. The former "The Morning Show" co-host and ex-wife of baseball legend Steve Garvey claims she was duped into enrolling in the university's master's program after UCLA said it would split the costs with her.
According to TMZ, Garvey was "approached by two UCLA bigshots and asked if she would enroll in a master's program at the UCLA School of Public Health." She said she had no interest, but the two people -- one of whom was allegedly the former director of the executive master's program -- said a rich alumnus would pay for half of Garvey's education because of her "celebrity status."
Garvey agreed and graduated in 2009, and all seemed well until she was recently hit was a $20,000 tax lien claiming she had unpaid debt to UCLA. Her attorney Keith Fink has filed a suit with the L.

Veteran U.S. TV presenter Regis Philbin was left red-faced after jumping on the back of David Letterman's scooter following their interview on Thursday and falling straight off.
The 80 year old's stint on his daytime chat show Live With Regis And Kelly comes to an end on Friday after 28 years on air.
He was a guest on Letterman's nightly programme on the eve of his retirement, and the pair decided to ride a red Vespa through New York after their chat.
However, Philbin - who was riding on the back behind Letterman - tipped the bike and went flying to the floor.
The star quickly jumped to his feet to inspect the damage to the vehicle, and his representative insists Philbin didn't suffer any injuries.
Philbin's daytime hosting duties began in 1983, with a local New York TV programme called The Morning Show with Cyndy Garvey as his original co-host.
In 1988, it was reincarnated with actress Kathie Lee Gifford, and became Live with Regis and Kathie Lee until 2000. Kelly Ripa joined as Philbin's co-host in 2001 after Gifford's departure.

Regis Philbin, a man who's logged nearly 17,000 hours on the air, has announced that he's leaving Live with Regis and Kelly. He's been with the show since it began in 1983. After all this time, could the show possibly continue with another male co-host?
Originally known as The Morning Show, it began as a local program in New York on Wabc-tv. Philbin and Cyndy Garvey were the initial hosts and had worked together on a similar program on the West Coast called A.M. Los Angeles. Garvey was replaced by Ann Abernathy who was then replaced by Kathie Lee Johnson (later Gifford). It was at this point that the show really took off in the ratings. In September 1988, it was under the name Live with Regis and Kathie Lee.

After more than two decades of waking up with America - first with Cyndy Garvey, then Kathie Lee Gifford and, for the last 10 years, Kelly Ripa - Regis Philbin announced today that he would be leaving daytime television.
"This will be my last year on this show," said the 79-year old, not specifying an end date and joking: "There is a time that everything must come to an end for certain people on camera. Especially certain old people."
Regis Philbin Retiring
Ripa will remain on the morning show and replied to this announcement on-air with:
"I think I can only speak for America, and all of us here, when I say it has been a pleasure and a privilege and a dream come true [working with you], And I wish I could do something to change your mind."
Now, the question becomes: who should replace Regis?...
