Born Anna Abigail Gyarmathy of Hungarian and British ancestry, she moved to France as a child and began acting when she was 15, eventually starring in Hungarian, German, Italian and French films.
In 1969 she married Alexander Thynn, Viscount Weymouth--thereby attaining the title of Lady Weymouth--the son of Henry Thynne, 6th Marquess of Bath, and Daphne Fielding. Her title was Anna Thynn, Dowager Marchioness of Bath.
