Bob Yari and Mark Gordon's Stratus Film Co. has struck a one-year first-look production pact with producer Jason Zelin. Zelin (Killing Pablo), who most recently was president of Miracle Entertainment, and his company Brooklyn Media will be based at Stratus' Westwood offices. Finley Glaize, who worked with Zelin at Miracle as vp development and production, has joined Zelin at Brooklyn Media. Said Bob Yari, a partner in Stratus along with producer Mark Gordon: "Jason has a great instinct for material and will be a valuable addition to our creative team. The two projects we have with him, 'Killing Pablo' and 'Underground, ' are both creatively interesting and have commercial appeal. We expect to continue to keep making these kinds of movies." Said Zelin: "Bob was one of the earliest and most enthusiastic fans of 'Killing Pablo, ' so that when an opportunity arose to set it up, he was my first call. It's wonderful to find a home for my new company which can support quality, commercial films both creatively and financially." Zelin's resume includes projects like Six Bullets From Now. Before Miracle, he worked at Miramax Films and spent four years at Village Roadshow Pictures.
