James and Hayley are ready for their second Christmas together, and with everybody comfortable (or at least used to) the familial chaos of both the Taylor and Hughes families, it should be all downhill after last year’s adventures. However, throw in a trip to the Swiss Alps, a mix-up of accommodations, and James’ dad’s new American girlfriend (played by Jane Krakowski), will it really be the most wonderful time of the year? Asa Butterfield and Cora Kirk are back to lead the cast of the sequel “Your Christmas or Mine 2,” which comes to Prime Video on Friday, Dec. 8. He’s posh, she’s not. This cosy, chirpy comedy, starring Asa Butterfield, hits the ski slopes for a forgettable festive sequel
If you haven’t seen the first Your Christmas or Mine movie, don’t panic. This chirpy romcom sequel from Prime Video has got the warm blanket familiarity you would get from a feature-length British telly Christmas special; something to put on while you fight over who gets the last Malteser in the Celebrations tub. Sex Education’s Asa Butterfield and Cora Kirk return as James and Hayley, a couple in their final year at uni. He’s a pleasant posho, she’s working class from Huddersfield. Last time they accidentally spent Christmas apart: each with the other one’s families. This year, they’re bringing their clans together for a festive getaway on the ski slopes. Hilarity – well, sitcommy cock-ups and culture-clash cliches – ensues.

Asa Butterfield and the rest of the cast return for festive follow up Your Christmas Or Mine 2, here’s the trailer.
Your Christmas Or Mine landed on Amazon Prime last year, and it went down really rather well.
The plot saw Asa Butterfield and Cora Kirk play young couple James and Hayley who, upon deciding that they don’t want to be apart for Christmas after all, get on each other’s respective trains and find themselves at the others’ family home. Fuelled by farcical misunderstandings, the film is a solid slice of festive fun. It’s no Planes, Trains & Automobiles of course, but then again, what is.
Still! We’re getting more of it, and Your Christmas Or Mine 2 looks set to stick to the same formula. Think of it as a bit Home Alone 2 to Home Alone, if you will.

Prime Video has debuted the trailer for the Christmas movie sequel ‘Your Christmas or Mine 2.’
The follow-up follows young couple James (Asa Butterfield), and Hayley (Cora Kirk), who are gearing up for their second Christmas as a couple. And that can only mean one thing … more mayhem with the Taylor and Hughes families.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year … but will it be for James and Hayley? James’ father has invited the Taylors to spend Christmas in a luxury ski resort in the Austrian Alps, so they can meet his new American girlfriend (played by Jane Krakowski). However, Hayley’s dad Geoff insisted on handling his family’s side of the booking and something clearly got lost in translation. After a mix-up with transport at the airport, the two tribes end up at each other’s accommodations, on different sides of a valley and opposite ends of the Tripadvisor ratings scale.

‘Choose or Die’ Review: A Video Game Kills Without Rhyme or Reason in This Disposable Netflix Horror
Even the smallest feature-length film is a considerable logistical enterprise, so it’s a bit flummoxing how little thought appears to have been put into “Choose or Die.” While there have been worse-crafted, even more routinely formulaic Netflix horror efforts, this one takes the cake for sheer whateverness of barely-there plot, concept, character detailing and so on. If some movies now seem designed to be consumed on phones, this one demands so little attention, for such scant rewards, you could probably watch it while vacuuming or doing yoga without missing anything important.
Not that first-time feature director Toby Meakins or his cast do slipshod work. But their labors are expended on a “viral” curse premise so indifferently defined and developed, the result recalls the archaic term “quota quickie,” which referred to low-budget 1930s British films made by Parliamentary decree just to keep the industry chugging. “Choose or Die” may substitute supernatural deaths for music-hall songs,...

Netflix has revealed an official trailer for a horror thriller titled Choose or Die, marking the feature directorial debut of filmmaker Toby Meaknis. The film is debuting on Netflix starting in April for anyone looking for a fun fright night pick. After firing up a lost 80s survival horror game, a young coder unleashes a hidden curse that tears reality apart, forcing her to make terrifying decisions and face deadly consequences. Starring Asa Butterfield, Iola Evans, Eddie Marsan, Robert Englund (Freddy!!), Kate Fleetwood, Ryan Gage, Angela Griffin, and Joe Bolland. Okay this looks killer! I really dig the vintage video game vibe. This seems like an out-there concept only Netflix would fund, which is great to see. And it has the potential...

Britbox is the exclusive home of ITV's Isolation Stories, and we have an exclusive look at the first of four episodes, all of which drop tomorrow, June 23.
If you've wondered what the future of television could look like after the world suffered together for the first six months of the year, Isolation Stories is a great place to start.
Leave it to the British to come up with an emotionally charged look at lockdown and its impact.
If we're to believe statements such as "things will never be the same until we have a vaccine," then you know we're in for a long haul with this virus.
That means that we could be subjected to even more quarantine's in the future. As viruses grow and change, the stage has now been set to respond quickly, urgently, and in a way that impacts the business community, sure, but can really wreak havoc with individuals.

Netflix's White Lines is an exciting new crime thriller that follows Zoe Walker's journey from Manchester to Ibiza, where she investigates the death of her brother Axel Collins. But what starts out as a tale of who did it, quickly unravels into an exploration of loss, personal boundaries, forbidden love, and self-acceptance.
The key characters of White Lines are all struggling to heal from their traumas of twenty years prior. Particularly with the cases of Zoe, her father Clint Collins, Oriol Calafat, and Axel's best friend Marcus, who all desperately try to rewrite their pasts by diving into their pain. While some, like Anna and Boxer, use love and sex to reveal or hide who they really are, Marcus and Oriol use drugs and alcohol to confront their demons, and Zoe and Clint try to walk in Axel's shoes to better understand him, and cope with their own feelings of grief.

Netflix's White Lines is a wild ride of violence, all-night parties, and falling in love with people you shouldn't fall in love with. The Ibiza-set story follows Zoe Walker (Laura Haddock) as she tries to figure out exactly what happened to her brother, Axel (Tom Rhys Harries), 20 years ago when he left home in Manchester, England, and set off for a new life in Ibiza. It takes all 10 episodes of the first (and perhaps only) season to get to the bottom of his disappearance, and the end is definitely not what we expected.
Axel is best friends with his younger sister, Zoe, and wants her to come along with him to Ibiza when their dad kicks him out. She stays behind, though, because she's still underage. She promises Axel that when she turns 18, she'll come join him and his friends in their lavish life. He disappears, though, and Zoe...

Warning: contains finale plot spoilers.
In the White Lines finale, we learn exactly what happened to Manchester DJ Axel Collins, whose mummified corpse was discovered in the deserts of Almería, Spain 20 years after he went missing from the island of Ibiza. His sister Zoe’s investigation into his murder had led her to tie up and interrogate Calafat family head of security (and her lover) Boxer.
Before Zoe’s father Clint was killed in a road accident, he had kidnapped Oriol Calafat, believing him to have been Axel’s killer. When Oriol escaped his bonds, he attacked Clint, causing the accident that killed him. Oriol phoned Boxer, who rescued him, sent him home and reported the crash.
Spanish police officer Miguel – a friend of Clint’s who had helped him in the original investigation into Axel’s disappearance – told Zoe that 20 years ago, Boxer had thrown her father off the...

From Alex Pina, the creator of one of Netflix’s most binge-worthy original series Money Heist (La Casa De Papel), comes a brand new show set on the hedonistic isle of Ibiza. Starring Laura Haddock, Daniel Mays, Angela Griffin and Laurence Fox, White Lines is a darkly comedic crime drama about a troubled young woman who travels to the white Isle in the hope of solving her brother’s murder.
When the body of a young man is found buried in the sand in Almeria, Spain, Mancunian Zoe (Laura Haddock) is compelled to find out whether the body could be her long lost brother Axel (Tom Rhys Harries). As a young DJ, Axel left his home in Manchester after falling out with his police officer father, but then disappeared without a trace whilst trying to make a name for himself in Ibiza.

There are few more tedious experiences than being sober around people who are off their heads. If you’re not also buzzing your tits off, the life epiphanies of dilated-pupil, jaw-clenched, hug-fetishist ravers resemble nothing so much as the unmusical cawing of an especially stupid crow.
Not that it’s put Netflix off setting new 10-part drama White Lines in the heart of the Ibizan rave scene. That’s because Netflix knows that if a show provides enough topless women, slo-mo shagging and Sunday supplement-worthy beach villas, audiences will tolerate anything – up to and including loved-up 90s kids talking about how house music is going to change the world.
On one level, White Lines is about the conflict between youthful freedom and adult responsibility, hedonism versus restraint, instinct versus intellect. On another, much louder level, it’s about tits and coke and abs and Laurence Fox being chased by a hallucinated gorilla.

With an ensemble cast of renowned British names, including Sheridan Smith, Robert Glenister, Eddie Marsan, David Threlfall and Angela Griffin, Isolation Stories — which starts airing Monday evening on U.K. broadcaster ITV — looks at first glance like the sort of premium TV drama that has been long in the making.
However, initially announced only in mid-April, the series has been put together in near record time — just a month from conception by Jeff Pope, who landed an Oscar nomination for co-writing 2014's Philomena and penned the Laurel and Hardy biopic Stan & Ollie, to transmission.

They say write what you know, and in Jeff Pope’s case, he knew coronavirus was an unwelcome intruder on his home. The BAFTA-winning producer of Stan & Ollie was laid low by the dastardly disease with his family, and although it was not so serious as to warrant a trip to hospital, it was profound enough to inspire Pope into making a drama about the experience.
His idea was simple: an anthology series of short stories about people coping with Covid-19 while being confined to their homes. The execution was far from simple, however, with the rulebook on writing, casting, filming and post-production ripped to shreds by strict social distancing measures. Oh, and there was the small complicating factor of having to rapidly deliver the series at the heart of lockdown so it didn’t lose any of its topical potency.

‘Harlots’ Review: ‘Game of Thrones’ Star Alfie Allen Turns Pimp for a Raucous and Cutthroat Season 3
It’s a new day for the titular “Harlots” when the drama about warring brothels in 18th-century Georgian London returns to Hulu for its third season. The rivalry that had been fueling the first two seasons, however, has been eliminated. Margaret Wells (Samantha Morton) of Greek Street fled to America to escape a death sentence, while her chief competition, Lydia Quigley (Lesley Manville) of Golden Square, has been sent to the madhouse.
A year later, Margaret’s grown daughters Charlotte (Jessica Brown-Findlay) and Lucy (Eloise Smyth) have established their own careers out from the shadow of their mother. It’s an exciting time for viewers who’ve stuck with the series. But before this refreshing, relaxed energy can fully take hold, the series ramps up the tension again with the introduction of new blood and the return of old enemies.

“Brits don’t like boasters,” Rob Lowe’s high-flying U.S. cop Bill Hixon is told in the first trailer for ITV drama Wild Bill. He responds by calling East Lincolnshire a “godforsaken cabbage patch,” which nicely sums up the fish-out-of-water series.
The West Wing star plays Hixon, who is appointed Chief Constable of the East Lincolnshire Police Force in the UK in the ITV series, which launches in June. The series is produced by 42, Shiver and Anonymous Content.
Lowe’s Hixon is an analytics expert, a Moneyball-for-police type and he is in Lincolnshire to help bring down the crime rate, while also dealing with his troubled young daughter.
The show was created by The Hunted writer David Griffiths and then Awake creator Kyle Killen came on board with Silent Witness writers Dudi Appleton and Jim Keeble. Lowe acts as an exec producer as well as on-screen star.

Idris Elba’s new Netflix comedy Turn Up Charlie seems less a TV show than a checklist of things Elba wanted to do on camera. After years of blockbuster movie roles, Idris Elba has solidified himself as a Hollywood mainstay, but it looks like his music career isn’t far behind.

After playing a detective who gets absolutely pummeled trying to investigate brutal crimes, it must be a fun change of pace to step behind some turntables. Netflix is giving Idris Elba the chance to do just that in “Turn Up Charlie.”
In addition to a March release date, Netflix also released the first look at the upcoming eight-part comedy, which features Elba as a down-on-his-luck DJ who helps babysit for a dear friend’s daughter. Tristram Shapeero — who’s worked as a director on a number of recent comedy classics, from “Community” to “Parks and Recreation” — will direct the first half of the season, while Matt Lipsey will take the second half.
“Luther” Season 5 may have already premiered to series-high ratings, but “Turn Up Charlie” will give Elba a chance to show off his comedy chops, which he showed most recently in last year’s SKy1 comedy “In the Long Run.
