Over two years after Netflix’s “Tiger King” took streaming by storm — and just a few months after Peacock’s own fictional series about Carole Baskin and Joe Exotic premiered — Peacock is bringing a new story of cats and crime to the docuseries space. The first trailer for “Dangerous Breed: Crime. Cons. Cats,” a new true docuseries about wrestler Teddy Hart, was released by the streamer on Wednesday.
Canadian nonfiction filmmaker Frederick Kroetsch, whose previous works include series like “Queen of the Oil Patch” and films like “Last of the Fur Traders,” directs the series, which focuses on the 10 years he spent filming Edward Ellsworth Annis, a wrestler on the independent circuit known by the ring name Teddy Hart.
A controversial figure known for his legal problems and his side gig as a Persian cat breeder, Hart was seen by Kroetsch as the perfect subject for a new reality show.

Welcome to this week’s Major League Wrestling: Fusion review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have the follow-up to the incredible Pay Per View that Mlw had last week. Tony Orlando couldn’t have done better. Someone stole Tenacious D from Family Video…bastards. Alright, let’s rock the sock around the clock of cock…a-doodle-doo!
Match #1: Low Ki beats Timothy Thatcher
My Opinion: 4.2 out of 5 – This was some great stuff. When you here the phrase “easy as pie” that’s how I feel about this match. There were no issues of two guys struggling to find a rhythm or attempting to make the match look legitimate or any-thing like that. Every-thing here was pitch-perfect to the point that having the match end before it went for six hours felt like a waste. This was one of those fights that had action of some...

Match #1: La Park & El Hijo de La Park defeated Septimo Dragon & Magnus The following is courtesy of mlw.com:
Salina de la Renta shows her serpent-like game plan as the Parks play pals with Septimo & Magnus before going on the attack. El Hijo and his father use “extra curricular means” to maintain control and begin splashing both in the corner. They then begin to take a chunk out of Magnus’ chest with some slaps against the ropes, but Magnus turns the tide with a corkscrew plancha before Septimo follows suit with a Tornillo. Not the river dance! Damn you Michael…Flatley! The spandex! The spandex!
Match #1: Jordan Oliver defeated Zenshi The following is courtesy of mlw.com:
Zenshi took down Oliver quickly but the two both go for quick takedowns but one another kept meeting each other in high-flying stalemates before Zenshi successfully landed a running shooting star press. Oliver tried to come off the top rope with a head-scissor takedown but the amazing body control of Zenshi allowed the Chilean combatant to land on his feet. Kotto Brazil took the moment to trip him up so Oliver got an opportunity to strike.

Welcome to this week’s Major League Wrestling: Fusion review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have only two matches, which is usually not a good sign, but neither is “Bridge Was Out”. Think about it… Yosemite Sam might get a kick out of it…and a lumpy head. Okay, I’ve got school in the morning, so shut up, sit back and let me ruin this show for you, one gripe at a time. Also, I’m told this is the most read wrestling review on the site, so take that Reader’s Digest.
Match #1: Zenshi defeated El Hijo de La Park The following is courtesy of mlw.com:
The two tried to literally sweep the legs out from under one another, but El Hijo took command of the match with suicide dive to the outside and then crotched Zenshi on the steel barricade.

Welcome to this week’s Major League Wrestling: Fusion review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have a big Ladder Match for the main event for the Tag Team Titles. Let’s get right to it.
Match #1: Ace Austin defeated Air Wolf The following is courtesy of mlw.com:
Atlantic City’s Ace demanded this rematch and wanted to exact some revenge on Air Wolf after suffering a loss at the hands of the 19-year-old luchador. The two get down and low on the mat trying to outwit one another with several holds that led to Austin having to reevaluate strategy. A frustrated Austin gripped the mask of Air Wolf and aggressively sent the youngster to the outside. Ace took the moment to literally relax in ring as Air Wolf answered the ten-count at five, but Austin immediately dropkicked Air Wolf crisp in the dome.

Hell with it. We’ll do just fine. By the way, Austin Aries makes his big return to Mlw and he does it, right now…
Match #1: Austin Aries beat Adam Brooks
My Opinion: 3.5 out of 5 – They actually gave this time to flourish. This was an excellent introduction for both men, but it was all about Aries here. Aries dominated the wrestling and dictated the pace and purpose of every-thing you saw. Looking fitter and more agile than ever, he took his controversial drawing powers and poured them into the forge of Major League Wrestling and helped craft a bout that will serve as a weapon against any-one that doubts his abilities...

That was supposed to be an Ozzy Osbourne reference, but it’s hard to do that line without screaming. Okay, let’s get in there and watch some Mlw.
Match #1: Richard Holliday versus Teddy Hart (No Contest)
My Opinion: 0 out of 5 – This was just an excuse to do one of those stolen title angles. Holliday stole the Mlw Middle-Weight Championship while Mjf jaw-jacked with Teddy Hart. Yeah, it’s as exciting as it sounds.
Match #2: Jordan Oliver beat Isaias Velazquez
My Opinion: 2.5 out of 5 – This was a good little match featuring two talented wrestlers. The action was easy to watch, like a lamb piloting a B-52 bomber.

Match #1: Flamita defeated Rey Horus The following is courtesy of mlw.com:
Rumor has it, according to Cornette and Rich Bocchini from the broadcast booth, that de la Renta may have been scouting Horus, Flamita or both for possible inclusion in Promociones Dorado. So, why not book a match between them when she has the power as executive producer this week? That’s exactly what she did. In a great lucha libre contest, it was Flamita with the victory in his Fusion debut. Flamita scored a 450 splash off the top turnbuckle to pick up the win.

Match #1: Richard Holliday defeated Kotto Brazil The following is courtesy of mlw.com:
While the night didn’t end well for The Dynasty, Holliday got things started on this week’s show with a victory for his group. Holliday used a size and power advantage to defeat Kotto Brazil, who has apparently healed from his eye injuries. Brazil removed the eye patch that he’s been wearing for months on his way to the ring and competed without it. The extra eyesight didn’t necessarily help the Haitian Sensation, as Most Marketable scored the victory with a gut-wrench powerbomb.

Match #1: Gringo Loco defeated Myron Reed The following is courtesy of mlw.com:
The live special opened with Reed and Loco. Reed came to the ring with tape over his mouth, once again protesting what he feels has been unfair treatment by Mlw officials. But when referee Doug Markham, who has been the target of most of Reed’s ire, went to check Reed for any illegal objects, Reed wouldn’t allow it. That would come back to hurt Loco later. Match #1: Air Wolf defeated Rey Fenix The following is courtesy of mlw.com:
Nineteen-year-old rookie sensation Air Wolf has become quite a fan favorite in his short time in Mlw. He may have gained a new fan in one half of the Lucha Bros — Rey Fenix. Air Wolf and Fenix squared off and while Air Wolf took a beating from Fenix, he managed to avoid being pinned by the veteran luchadore. Air Wolf had his moments throughout the match, including a pair of German suplexes that were absolute beauties.

Kotto Brazil faced off with Jordan Oliver, who was making his singles debut in Major League Wrestling. Brazil was still wearing an eye patch thanks to a brawl with Ricky Martinez of Promociones Dorado. Salina de la Renta and Martinez would figure in the match prominently. Match #1: Teddy Hart defeated Ace Austin – Major League Wrestling World Middleweight Championship Match The following is courtesy of mlw.com:
World Middleweight Champion Teddy Hart defended his title successfully vs. up-and-comer Ace Austin. In addition to a title defense, Hart earned a trip to the hospital. The Dynasty – Mjf, Richard Holliday and Alex Hammerstone – were partying at ringside during Hart’s match. Following the contest, Hart got into a verbal altercation with the trio. But then it became something more than verbal as Mjf hit Hart over the head with a champagne bottle.

Reed and Swann seem to believe referees and League officials have it out for them and have expressed their opinion in numerous ways. Last week on Mlw Fusion, Hijo got in a brawl with Mance Warner over Warner accidentally spilling a beer on Promociones Dorado leader Salina de la Renta. Becky Lynch (WWE) – Lynch was even mouthier than usual, which worked out well for her.
Best Performance:
Brian Cage (Impact Wrestling: Homecoming) – Cage did great in his World Title match against Johnny Impact.

Welcome to this week’s Major League Wrestling review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have a couple of good ones this time, so go grab your eatin’ food and walk your ass over to the monitor and pretend you’re watchin’ TV.
Match #1: La Park defeated Gringo Loco The following is courtesy of Mlw.com:
In an extremely entertaining and hotly-contested match, Gringo Loco gave La Park all he wanted. The two battled for nearly 20 minutes to open this week’s show. La Park had the upper hand early and of course, there were chairs involved. With Gringo Loco incapacitated on the outside, La Park grabbed a couple chairs from ringside and put them together. He then scored a massive powerbomb, driving Loco onto the unforgiving chairs. Gringo Loco eventually recuperated and rallied. At one point, Loco was able to lay out La Park on the stage/entrance way.

Welcome to this week’s Major League Wrestling review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have… trees! Also, we have a little bit of wrestling. Like Miss Swann/Swan/Swahooon/screw it always says, “Heeeeeeeee…look-a like a man!”
Match #1: The Hart Foundation (Pillman & Smith) defeated Hughes, Dreamer The following is courtesy of Mlw.com:
In impromptu tag team match served as our opening bout on this week’s show. Brian Pillman Jr. and Davey Boy Smith Jr. were in the ring making fun of Barrington Hughes. Tommy Dreamer, who has had enough of Pillman and the Hart Foundation’s disrespectful attitude, immediately came to the ring and offered to team up with Hughes against the two second-generation stars. The match was quickly made by League officials. Hughes had the upper hand in the early going as both Smith and Pillman had no answers for the Caramel Colossus.

Welcome to this week’s Major League Wrestling review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have some excellent matches to get to, so let’s do so.
Match #1: Teddy Hart beat Gringo Loco, Kotto Brazil, El Hijo de La Park and Dezmond Xavier Fatal-Five Way Ladder Match for the Mlw Middleweight Championship The following is courtesy of mlw.com:
Hart wasn’t even booked in the match. But in true Teddy Hart fashion, he went ahead and found a way to get in the four-way ladder match. First, he attacked Dezmond Xavier before he could enter the ring. When Kotto Brazil took exception and went to attack Hart outside the ring, Brazil got the worst of the exchange and was helped to the back. Hijo de La Park, Gringo Loco and Xavier all had opportunities to grab the belt during the course of the match,...

Welcome to this week’s Major League Wrestling review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have a couple of big time luchadors fighting in the main event, so get your eatin’ britches pulled up and ready for a big ol’ ham dinner and some stuffing with a bit of sweet potato and the cranberry sauce with cheesecake for dessert… very nice.
Match #1: Teddy Hart (with Brian Pillman) defeated Jason Cade The following is courtesy of Mlw.com:
While the Hart Foundation is looking for a shot at the World Tag Team Championships, Teddy Hart has an impending match with one half of the champs, Pentagon Jr. next week in Miami. While Hart is focused on defeating Pentagon Jr. and keeping the pressure on the Lucha Bros. (Penta and brother Rey Fenix), he was faced with Jason Cade and his Bad Attitude this week on Mlw Fusion.

Match #1: Puma King defeated Ricky Martinez The following is courtesy of Mlw.com:
In his surprise Mlw debut, Puma King picked up the victory over Promociones Dorado’s Sicario Ricky Martinez in his Mlw debut. Puma King bloodied Martinez early, but Martinez got plenty of offense in on his feline foe, as well.cIn the end, it was a huge avalanche powerbomb followed by a unique rollup cradle that led to the three-count for Puma King, who was joined by Konnan in the ring for a post-match celebration. In the Konnan-Salina de la Renta war, this battle went to Konnan and Puma King.

Welcome to the debut of The Last Week in Wrestling, right here on Nerdly. We’re combining the WWE Week In Review and the Nerdly Wrestling Awards into one weekly column that will perform the function of both. With Phil covering Raw, Smackdown and Impact, this will give me the chance to get all my stuff out in one sitting. I’ll give you my ratings for all of the matches before I give you my thoughts on the each league.
As for the Nerdly Wrestling Awards, that’s getting moved to just the end of the year and maybe we’ll have some goofy looking trophies to hand out then… to no one. Also, I apologize for all of my bad reviews last week… because they sucked. If you don’t remember, they were pretty much just obnoxious for the sake of being so. I liked the Wendy Williams eye joke,...

Welcome to this week’s Major League Wrestling: Fusion review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and Brian Pillman Jr. makes his singles debut on this card, while we have an exciting main event between two men who are no strangers to controversy. On a night that is dominated by the new Hart Foundation, I’d say it’s a good time to jump right in to the action.
Match #1: Jimmy Yuta defeated El Hijo de La Park The following is courtesy of Mlw.com:
One week after La Park defeated Pentagon Jr. in a Mexican Massacre Match, de la Renta and Promociones Dorado presented the son of La Park — Hijo de La Park, in a middleweight matchup with Jimmy Yuta. Match #1: Ricky Martinez def. Jake St. Patrick The following is courtesy of Mlw.com:
In our opening bout, de la Renta presented her personal sicario Ricky Martinez in a matchup against Jake St. Patrick. This middleweight bout was short-lived. In just over two minutes, Martinez absolutely dominated St. Patrick, ending things with a leaping code breaker off the top rope.
My Take: A squash match if ever there was one, Ricky martinez looked like the powerhouse he is, man-handling Jake St. Patrick from the get-go, finishing him with an amazing code breaker that put a full-stop on the match, and probablt St. Patrick too!
Match #2: Simon Gotch def. Gangrel via Dq The following is courtesy of Mlw.

Match #1: New Era Hart Foundation defeated The Stud Stable – Hurricane 6-Man Tag The following is courtesy of Mlw.com:
Teddy Hart issued an open challenge to any three grapplers in Mlw who wanted to face the New Era Hart Foundation. Col. Robert Parker was quick to respond, bringing his tag team of the Dirty Blondes and his One Man Demolition Machine Parrow the opportunity. With all six men allowed to be in the ring at once, it was a wild one at times. Hart, Davey Boy Smith Jr. and Brian Pillman Jr. were able to single out Parrow early in the match. Match #1: Teddy Hart defeated Vandal Ortagun The following is courtesy of Mlw.com:
It was an international affair as the Canadian Teddy Hart took on Turkey’s favorite professional wrestler Vandal Ortagun. Hart attacked Ortagun from behind at the beginning of the match, after inviting Ortagun to play to the crowd on the turnbuckle. He was in control from there on out, stomping Ortagun’s face into the mat and hitting a lung-blower. In between beating up Ortagun, Hart berated the League official assigned to the match, saying he cost him a previous match with a slow count. Just after complaining about a slow count, Hart nearly destroyed Ortagun with a Ddt...

Match #1: Dragon Bane, Astrolux and Freelance beat Draztik Boy, Latigo and Aramis – Trios Match
This was a thrilling stunt show with one death-defying risk after another. Any one of these guys could be a big star in the future.
Match #2: Sammy Guevera beat Ach, Australian Suicide and Shane Strickland – Aaa World Cruiserweight Championship Match
This was another wild match that was a thrill a second. I always worry about the risks that luchadors put themselves through with the style, but they are gonna do it despite themselves. This match had a lot of hard work in it and will really get your blood pumping.
Match #3: Nino Hamburguesa and Big Mami beat El Hijo del Vikingo and Vanilla,...

Match #1: New Era Hart Foundation defeated Rich Swann/Ach The following is courtesy of Mlw.com:
Teddy Hart and Davey Boy Smith Jr. are looking to make waves in Mlw as the New Era Hart Foundation, along with their young friend Brian Pillman Jr. Smith and Hart made waves in Mlw’s tag team division Friday night, scoring a victory over Rich Swann and Ach. Swann and Ach will be challenging the Lucha Bros. for the World Tag Team Championship next week. But one has to wonder where the Hart Foundation stands in the pecking order after their convincing – if not controversial – victory over Swann and Ach.
The Hart Foundation was in control of the contest early. But Ach was able to lock in a sharpshooter on Teddy Hart.

It’s been quite an eventful couple of weeks for the former professional wrestler known as Cm Punk. After walking out on the WWE back in January, Phil Brooks had maintained radio silence on all issues both professional and personal up until the day before Thanksgiving.
He then took to his close friend Colt Cabana’s Art of Wrestling podcast to tell his side of the dramatic end to his tenure in Vince McMahon’s organisation. He followed that up one week later with a second AoW instalment where he elaborated on many things already mentioned and added some additional dirt and gossip.
This past Saturday at Ufc 181, the blockbuster announcement was made that Punk has signed a multi-fight deal with the Ufc, with plans to debut with his first professional fight sometime in 2015. Despite the fact that Punk is merely a white belt in jiu-jitsu with not...

Over the past 12 years, there have been hundreds of men and women who have competed inside of a Total Nonstop Action ring. Some of these wrestlers were the type you’d like to forget ever worked there like the massive Cheex, Eric Bischoff’s favorite son, Garett Bischoff or the currently employed Rob Terry. Others who have wrestled in Tna possessed incredible talent with plenty of memorable matches to their name like A.J. Styles, Samoa Joe and Christopher Daniels. And then, there were former and future stars that you just don’t remember ever being there.
Many of these wrestlers joined the company before their days on Spike TV, where they were only seen by a fraction of their current audience. Tna started as a $10 a week two hour pay-per-view (same price as an entire month of the WWE Network as Michael Cole would say), then moved to...
