What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, right? At least, that’s how it’s supposed to be, but I can’t help but spill the beans on a fantastic trip I recently took to Sin City for the launch of Netflix‘s new series, Obliterated. Premiering today on Netflix, this eight-episode series comes from the guys behind Cobra Kai, Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg, and Josh Heald, and is a gloriously profane and non-pc throwback to their Harold & Kumar days – albeit with a heavy dose of Jerry Bruckheimer-style action thrown in.
The show focuses on an elite team of Navy Seals, led by Nick Zano’s Chad McKnight, who, along with a CIA agent, Ava Winters (Shelley Henning) and her tech wiz, Maya (Kimi Rutledge), have just taken down a terrorist cell planning to blow up Las Vegas. To celebrate a well-done job, the team decides to do what...

When Paramount announced the release of a new show from Teen Wolf creator Jeff Davis, most assumed Wolf Pack would be a spinoff of the popular MTV show. However, Wolf Pack‘s cast recently made it clear the upcoming show is completely original.
What is ‘Wolf Pack’ about?
Wolf Pack is based on a book series of the same name. The books tell the story of a couple who rescue a pack of young wolf cubs who end up turning into human babies. They follow the group of kids as they balance high school with their supernatural adventures.

It looks like the mythology of the show will be slightly different. “A teenage boy and girl get their lives changed forever when a California wildfire awakens a terrifying supernatural creature,...

Plot: A full moon rises in Beacon Hills, and with it, a terrifying evil emerges. The wolves are howling again, calling for the return of banshees, werecoyotes, hellhounds, kitsunes, and every other shapeshifter in the night. But only a werewolf like Scott McCall (Tyler Posey), no longer a teenager yet still an alpha, can gather new allies and reunite trusted friends to fight back against what could be the most powerful and deadliest enemy they’ve ever faced.
Review: Airing for six seasons on MTV, Teen Wolf filled the hole left by Buffy the Vampire Slayer as a teen-centric genre full of supernatural beings and soapy melodrama. Despite trading vampires for werewolves, Teen Wolf followed a familiar formula for teen shows despite being significantly better than most of the series on MTV. Streamers had been in the news a lot over 2022. Less for what they were providing their subscribers but more for what they weren’t providing. Finished movies were shelved forever, projects canceled outright, and shows that seemed a shoo-in to be renewed were canceled. Luckily for 2023, it looks like we’re still about to get a lot of great content sent directly to our homes. What streaming films should we be anticipating?
Teen Wolf: The Movie – Paramount+ January 26th
It’s finally come full circle. First, there was the 80s Teen Wolf movie. Then MTV took that idea and based a young adult TV series on it. Now, that MTV series is getting a reunion movie to premiere on Paramount+. As it was, it shall be. A new evil has emerged, and Scott must reunite with his old friends, as well as some new ones, to fight this new menace.

It was quite the Teen Wolf cast reunion at the 2022 New York Comic Con on October 7th. Series creator Jeff Davis joined his returning Teen Wolf stars Tyler Posey, Crystal Reed, Holland Roden, Colton Haynes, Shelley Hennig, Dylan Sprayberry, and Khylin Rhambo for a packed Teen Wolf: The Movie panel at Javits Center. Teen Wolf newcomers Vince Mattis and Amy Workman also took the stage for the half-hour panel.
Writer/executive producer Jeff Davis kicked off the panel discussing the inspiration for Teen Wolf: The Movie. “One thought was could we bring Crystal Reed back? I always said if we were going to do a movie, we would have to bring Crystal Reed back. And so the idea started percolating and I said to Crystal over text – actually on Instagram it was – and I said, ‘Are you ready to pick up the bow and arrow again?’ And we talked and there was magic still there.

Being at the cutting edge of technology in film is a recipe from which filmmakers and audiences alike can reap extraordinary benefits. Be it via the means utilized by the people behind the project to create their motion picture or a fresh idea developed within the story itself that sparks the imagination of an attentive viewer, modern technology (an odd term considering that technology is continuously evolving) can be a powerful tool in storytelling. In other examples filmmakers will adapt new gizmos that have already gained traction in the public sphere to help spruce up their tale. Screenwriter Nelson Greaves and director Levan Gabriadze collaborate on Cybernatural, a movie that puts online Skype conversations, Facebook and instant messaging front and center of a tale of revenge from beyond the grave.

Herds of screaming girls and men proudly wearing “Part Wolf” shirts howled like crazy for Tyler Posey, Dylan O’Brien, and other cast members of Teen Wolf during the supernatural hit’s Comic-Con panel this year. Though the cast was at times slightly distracted by their own image on the large video screens surrounding them—and their own poop jokes—the MTV stars provided some good scoop about the show’s current fourth season and future alongside series executive producer Jeff Davis. Well, that was after Posey decided to cartwheel onto the stage. “I think I broke my toe,” he admitted.

The first trailer for the upcoming horror movie inspired by a Ouija Board has finally been released, but it’s hard to say whether or not it was worth the wait! It marks the directorial debut of Stiles White, and the cast is made up of the usual sort of good looking unknowns who will likely be dispatched one after the other.
Anyone who has ever played around with a Ouija Board know there’s no real reason to be afraid of them, but this group of friends – who are trying to contact their recently deceased friend – soon find out that her death was no accident and that there may in fact be something far more sinister about this particular board game.
In the trailer, we get to see some of the nasty things that some of the friends go through, and the movie could find some success thanks to...

Teen Wolf's excellent visuals continue to shine in season four. Here's Ron's review of The Benefactor...
Review
This review contains spoilers.
4.4 The Benefactor
I was very hesitant about the new additions to Teen Wolf's regular cast. They seemed a bit too young, truthfully. Late teens playing teenagers is one thing, even 23-year-old high school students can pass - though there are some background extras who look like they should be teaching rather than attending classes - but there's something that comes along with teenagers playing kids their age that's a little... not unnerving, per se, but worrying. I'm not sure why, because the new additions seem like they're going to be just as good as the previous cast members.
Scott, despite himself, has a new progeny. To save the life of Liam (Dylan Sprayberry), he had to sink his teeth into him, quite literally. The full moon is approaching.

Scott, Stiles, Kira, Lydia and Malia traveled down to Mexico in an effort to find Derek in Teen Wolf’s forth season premiere, “The Dark Moon.”

Stiles (Dylan O’Brien) and Lydia (Holland Roden) enter into a secret nightclub in Mexico and arrange a meeting with the Calaveras matriarch – the huntress who captured Derek (Tyler Hoechlin) and Peter (Ian Bohen) in season 3. Lydia and Stiles put $50,000 on the table and offer it in exchange for Derek. Ms. Calaveras is not impressed, and she tells the two high-schoolers that they should not have come alone, to which Stiles responds, “What makes you think we came alone?”

It really is over between Diana and Adam on The Secret Circle.
Yes, these two still reminisce about their relationship, and, granted, they're still trying to navigate the friendship path - but Adam is clearly into Cassie and, as Shelley Henning tells TV Guide, Diana will soon find a new love interest of her own.
Asked about Grant, the character set to soon sail into Chance Harbor (played by Tim Phillipps), Henning acknowledged a burgeoning romance there and said:
He's "really handsome, really sweet and hopefully he's going to sweep Diana off her feet, if not long term, at least to help Diana get through this heartbreak with Adam. But who knows, maybe this guy's exactly what Diana needs."
Henning added that no one in the cast knows who the identity of the other Balcoin offspring, but she hopes it's Diana because that would explain her connection to Cassie.

The Secret Circle is the CW's latest entry into TV's supernatural sweepstakes. Based on a book by the author of The Vampire Diaries and executive produced by out Kevin Williamson, the network hopes to capture the same magic again that propelled Tvd into a hit.
Our protagonist Cassie (Britt Robertson), having been orphaned when her mother Amelia is magicked to death in a fire by a dastardly stranger, moves to a seaside town to live with her grandmother Jane (Ashley Crow), who we can tell is a “free spirit” by her unruly mane of curly locks and her vast assortment of jaunty scarves. Cassie has meet-cutes with the rest of the teenage cast except for neighbor Nick (Louis Hunter), who instead ups the creep factor by staring at Cassie in her bedroom from his house.

In L.J. Smith's "Secret Circle" book series, Nick Armstrong is a fan favorite character with an icy attitude. He's referred to as the "iguana" and he's got a cold, disengaged demeanor. So far, we haven't heard much about how Nick will be adapted for the upcoming series on The CW, so Zap2it sat down with executive producer Andrew Miller to get all the intel on the mysterious character.
In the pilot episode, we won't learn much about Nick, aside from the fact that he's played by Aussie actor Louis Hunter. He lives next door to Britt Robertson's character, Cassie, and when she moves in after the tragic death of her mother, he expresses his concern with an eloquent "R U Ok?" sign that he holds up to her window. He seems sweet... until he magically opens her curtains later while she's changing.

As longtime fans of his work, we weren't surprised that Gale Harold's performance as the villainous Charles Meade in the opening scene of "The Secret Circle" pilot blew us away. When, later on in the episode, he once again had our jaws on the floor, we knew that Harold had finally found the perfect TV role to showcase his considerable talent after a few years of lackluster gigs on shows like "Desperate Housewives" and "Hellcats."
We sat down with Harold on Thursday afternoon in Beverly Hills, shortly before he caught a flight back to Vancouver, where he was needed on set at the obscene hour of 2 a.m. that night.
Zap2it: Did you read the books after you got the role?
Harold: No. I'm staying with what Kevin Williamson is thinking. I'll let him interpret and adapt as he pleases. I didn't want to build any assumptions or...

In what was pretty much seen as a foregone conclusion, The CW has announced that Kevin Williamson's "The Secret Circle" will be joining its roster for the upcoming fall season.
