Author of many western novels. "The Valdez Horses" (1967) earned her
the Western Writers of America Spur Award and was adapted for the
screen by Charles Bronson. The movie was titled Chino (1973) (aka "Chino").
Under the pseudonym Georgia York, she wrote historical romances for
Fawcett Books during the years 1979 to 1983, and also wrote several
science fiction novels including "The Caves of Karst" (1969).
