If you happen to be travelling across the pond in the next few weeks, the One-and-a-Half Gallery in London has an awesome exhibit of “horrorgami” by artist Marc Hagan-Guirey. Hagan-Guirey recreates iconic homes from horror films out of just one sheet of paper. His sculptures include the Monroeville Mall from Dawn of the Dead, The MacNeill residence from The Exorcist, The Beetlejuice house, The Shining’s Overlook Hotel and the maze-like Dakota Building from Rosemary’s Baby.
Hagan-Guiry’s first paper house creation was Frank Lloyd Wright’s Ennis House, featured in Blade Runner and House on Haunted Hill, made as a gift to a friend after he visited the location.
The horrorgami kirigami paper works are each sold in their own lightbox, in the colours illustrated in the sales catalogue on the One-and-a-Half Gallery website. Each piece is part of an edition of 13, and there are 13 different pieces available.
