Los Angeles - Spoiler Alert: If you have yet to watch "Orange is the New Black" Season 2, proceed at your own risk. A major plotline is discussed in some detail. Now then. The Morello storyline. What a storyline. Not only did these episodes feature some superb writing, Yael Stone's performance was flawless and deeply affecting. By the end of it all I found myself feeling protective of Lorna, even as her dangerously obsessive behavior was laid mercilessly bare. "I guess that means my job has been done," said Stone when I caught up with her at the Emmys on Sunday. Indeed, Morello's Season 2 arc connected so strongly with some viewers that the actress said she's heard several of them voice their anger at Christopher (a.k.a. Not Lorna's fiancee) for being "mean" to her in that unsettling visitation room scene. Stone found this rather perplexing. "The reaction is completely bizarre,...

Just over a month before the highly-anticipated second season premiere of Orange Is The New Black, Netflix has opted to renew the acclaimed prison dramedy for a third season.
This is the second early renewal for the show, from Weeds showrunner Jenji Kohan, which received a similar treatment shortly before the premiere of its record-breaking first season. The third season, which will likely premiere in 2015, is set to run for thirteen episodes, the same amount as Orange Is The New Black‘s first and second seasons.
Though the first season received surprisingly little awards attention (including a lone Golden Globe nomination for lead actress Taylor Schilling), it was widely hailed as one of the best shows of 2013. Here at We Got This Covered, we ranked it the year’s fourth best show, behind only Mad Men, Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad. It’s here! It’s finally here. The new trailer for Netflix’s hit series, Orange Is the New Black, hit the Internet today and teases a whole bunch of drama for season 2. While there has been a lot of drama leading up to the second season (is Laura Prepon returning? Who are the new inmates?) none of that matters now. All we care about is the first official look at the show, which promises to surpass the addictive nature of the debut season.
Taylor Schilling, Laverne Cox and Jason Biggs are all in the new trailer. Sadly though, it looks like Michelle Hurst aka Miss Claudette is nowhere to be seen. The actress was critically injured following a car accident late last year. We hope a quick recovery will allow her to eventually return to the series.

Michelle Hurst, the actress who plays the stern Miss Claudette on Netflix series "Orange Is the New Black," is slowly recovering after her involvement in a serious car accident just before the holiday season that required she be placed in a 16-day medically-induced coma.
On Thursday (Jan. 16), Piper Kerman, who wrote the memoir on which the popular series is based, tweeted a link to a fundraising site that has been set up to help cover Hurst's medical expenses and lost income.
According to the site, Hurst was placed in the coma to avoid movement while doctors performed multiple surgeries near her spine. She awoke from her coma Thursday morning, but remains in the intensive care unit at Unc Chapel Hill Hospital in North Carolina.
As of press time, 124 supporters -- including Kerman herself -- had raised $8,744, far surpassing the goal of $5,000.

So, you've been hearing about this Netflix show, "Orange Is the New Black." Whispers in the workplace hallways about "chocolate and vanilla... swirl." You keep seeing pictures of women in orange or taupe scrubs. People at Starbucks keep referencing someone named "Piper" and her sorta-kinda-love-hate girlfriend "Alex" and bemoaning the fact that one of them won't be around much in Season 2. One actress reminds you of a dark-haired version of that girl that was on "That 70s Show." And you don't have Netflix, so you don't care.
But you should.
What do you need to know about this show, and why should you watch it? To be honest, a released-all-at-once season of a television show keeps writers like this one from figuring out the best way to recap and review a show. And that is a blessing and a curse, because we're all used to weekly installments slow-cooking our show love.

Netflix's women in prison dramedy "Orange Is the New Black" is beefing up its cast for Season 2, adding Lorraine Toussaint ("The Fosters") in a prominent new recurring role and promoting Danielle Brooks and Taryn Manning to series regulars.
The word-of-mouth sensation from "Weeds" creator Jenji Kohan is based on Piper Kerman's memoir about a 15-month stint in a federal penitentiary. Taylor Schilling heads a cast that also includes Laura Prepon, Jason Biggs, Kate Mulgrew and Michelle Hurst.
Toussaint is set to play Vee, a powerful drug dealer who recruited kids as sellers. Brooks and Manning have been recurring throughout Season 1 as Tasha "Taystee" Jefferson and Tiffany "Pennsatucky" Doggett, respectively.
Netflix renewed "Orange" for a second season before the first season was even released on the online streaming and rental service.

Based on Piper Kerman’s memoir, the 13-episode series stars Taylor Schilling as engaged Brooklynite Piper Chapman whose seemingly perfect life is turned upside down when she must serve time in a federal women’s prison, Jason Biggs as her well-meaning but long-suffering fiancé and Laura Prepon as her drug runner ex-girlfriend. The series’ ensemble also includes Kate Mulgrew, Natasha Lyonne, Pablo Schreiber, Michelle Hurst, Danielle Brooks, Uzo Aduba, Laverne Cox and Taryn Manning. Click here to view the embedded video.

Summer has been historically a “dead zone” for TV. Big networks use the season to clean the shelves of canceled series, air re-runs and give lowly supported pilots a feeble attempt to sink or swim. But savvy TV viewers know that this is also the time when smart networks like USA, AMC, Showtime, FX and BBC America launch shows that fly under the radar and take advantage of the dog-eat-dog fall and winter seasons. We’ve considered all of the new shows in the summer of 2013 and come up with the 10 best entries that will consume our summer nights:
10. Orange is the New Black
Premiering: 13-episodes available starting July 11 on Netflix
Starring: Taylor Schilling, Michael Harney, Danielle Brooks, Michelle Hurst, Jason Biggs, Laura Prepon, Natasha Lyonne, and Kate Mulgrew

Here is the trailer for the indie comedy, A Little Help. The film was directed by Michael J. Weithorn and stars Jenna Fischer, Chris O'Donnell, Rob Benedict, Daniel Yelsky, Kim Coates, Brooke Smith, Lesley Ann Warren, Ron Leibman , Zach Page, Arden Myrin, Aida Turturro, Michelle Hurst, and more.
Synopsis:
A Little Help is the story - funny, touching, sad, and real - of an ordinary person, engulfed by ordinary events, making an extraordinary emotional journey.
I am a huge fan of The Office and think Jenna Fischer is a great actress. I look forward to seeing her as a leading lady in more films. This movie looks like a perfect fit for her comedic timing. Check out the trailer below and share your thouhts!
A Little Help opens in theaters on June 24th.

Although we all know her from The Office, Jenna Fischer and dipped her toe into the film world with supporting roles in such films as Blades of Glory, Walk Hard, and most recently, Hall Pass. Her next film, in wihch she has a lead role, actually did a festival run in 2010 and will now see a limited release. From The King of Queens executive producer and writer Michael J. Weithorn comes A Little Help. It looks like a perfectly harmless, if predicable, light comedy. I don’t trust any recommendation from Pete Hammond, but I may eventually check this out.
Fischer stars next to Chris O’Donnell, Rob Benedict, Daniel Yelsky, Kim Coates, Brooke Smith, Lesley Ann Warren, Ron Leibman , Zach Page, Arden Myrin, Aida Turturro, Michelle Hurst , Michael J. Weithorn, Dena Hysell, and Joe Gressis. Check out the trailer and poster below via Apple.
