She was awarded the O.C. (Officer of the Order of Canada) on October
19, 1994 for her services to Canadian-French Culture and the
development of Arts in Canada.

She also worked often as an actress on French-Canadian radio and TV, becoming famous as Bedette in "Le survenant" in 1955.
She co-founded in 1960 in Eastman, Québec, the summer theater "le Théâtre de la Marjolaine" with Louise Rémy, Hubert Loiselle and Gilbert Comtois. She was its director from 1964 to 1999.
