- (June 1976 - October 1976) Portrayed his signature role of Mr. Wilberforce Claiborne Humphries in the stage version of Jeremy Lloyd and David Croft's "Are You Being Served?", at the Winter Gardens, Blackpool, Lancashire, England, UK.
- (1964) He acted in Julian Slade and Dorothy Reynolds' musical, "Salad Days", at the New Lyric Theatre in Hammersmith, London, England with Belinda Carroll, Philip Blaine, Trevor Griffiths, Barry Howard and Patrick Duggan in the cast.
- (1957) At 21, he joined a touring repertory theater company and later appeared in pantomimes as well.
