Originally it was going to be called the Cabana Palace. Then it was the Desert Palace. But when the front doors opened Aug. 5, 1966, there was no mistaking who this gigantic columned temple belonged to: The greeters dressed as gladiators and waitresses in Cleopatra outfits made it clear this was Caesars Palace. The idea to erect an ancient Rome-themed hotel and casino in the middle of the Nevada desert was the brainchild of Jay Jackson Sarno, an Atlanta motel mogul who — with partners Nate Jacobson and Stanley Mallin and buttressed by a $10.6 million loan from

The wait is Finally over.
The CW has released the first substantial footage from the upcoming, highly anticipated "DC's Legends of Tomorrow," and it packs a quite a wallop. The "first look" -- more like a trailer, really -- lays out the story clearly: Time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter (cool name, bro) travels back in time to assemble an elite group of heroes (and a couple of not-quite heroes) to stop an utterly bleak future. Witty one-liners, action-packed shenanigans, and some seriously cool crossover potential ensue.
Among his recruits are Sara Lance (White Canary), Jay Jackson (Firestorm), Ray Palmer (The Atom), Hawkgirl, Captain Cold, and Heat Wave. With a lineup like that and coming from the network that brought us "Arrow" and "The Flash," "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" has serious potential to be your new favorite show.
You can find out when "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" premieres January 21, 2016, on The CW.

It's known that the character of Firestorm on The CW's "The Flash" is about to undergo a change. In the first season Ronnie Raymond (Robbie Amell) and Martin Stein (Victor Garber) combined to form the super-powered fiery being.
With Robbie Amell not being a part of the upcoming spin-off series "DC's Legends of Tomorrow," many were wondering how Firestorm would be worked into that show. Then came the casting of Franz Drameh as Jay Jackson, the character who will serve as the new Firestorm co-host.
Today, a new behind-the-scenes featurette for "The Flash" second season went online showing Drameh as Firestorm next to Grant Gustin as The Flash, the clip though has since been pulled but you can see the key screen cap above.
This would indicate the Jackson/Firestorm switchover element will take place in "The Flash" and should be all sorted by the time 'Legends' rolls around mid-season.

With "Arrow" having wrapped its third season this week, the show closed out its run with a finale that left things in a surprisingly good place for most of the main group of characters.
Speaking about the fourth season, which premieres in the Fall, executive producer Marc Guggenheim has revealed that the show will switch over to a slightly lighter tone next season - something that is still darker than "The Flash" or the new "DC's Legends of Tomorrow," but lighter than the previous two seasons have been. He tells io9:
"It will take a lighter tone. That's pretty much the only thing I say without spoiling it. We've been working for about a month now in the writers' room, talking about season 4.

The DC Comics television universe over on The CW is going to expand even further with another spinoff of both Arrow and The Flash. The previously-untitled team-up series from Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Marc Guggenheim has now been given the official moniker Legends of Tomorrow, in addition to a full series order from the network.
As previously reported, Legends of Tomorrow will feature a number of characters from both Arrow and The Flash, namely Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer/The Atom, Wentworth Miller as Captain Cold, Dominic Purcell as Heatwave, Victor Garber as one half of Firestorm and Caity Lotz, who will presumably reprise her role as Sara Lance/Canary, though how she’ll come back from the dead remains a mystery.

Brit actor Franz Drameh has been cast as Jay Jackson in the "Untitled DC Comics Project" TV serial for The CW network, which is a spin-off of the existing “Arrow” and “The Flash” series - both hits. Details on story are being kept under wraps for now. Jay Jackson is described as a former high school athlete, whose pro-career was derailed by injury. Now making ends meets as an auto mechanic, Jay will come to have a surprising affiliation to the S.T.A.R. Labs crew. Drameh, who most will probably remember from the British sleeper hit "Attack the Block," joins the previously-cast Ciara Renée, who will play Kendra Saunders (aka Hawkgirl), Brandon...

The CW’s upcoming Arrow and Flash spin-off has found itself another hero. English actor Franz Drameh (Edge of Tomorrow) has been cast as Jay Jackson. Jay is a former high school athlete whose pro career was cut short by injury; he now works as an auto mechanic to get by and will reportedly have a “surprising affiliation” to the S.T.A.R. Labs group on The Flash. When TVLine first reported the original casting breakdowns for the Arrow and Flash spin-off, Drameh’s character was only referred to as a “Mystery Hero,” with the description calling the character a “regular, street smart guy who unexpectedly gains powers, and then, as part of the team, regularly quips about the insanity of the situations.” Since it says that Jay will “unexpectedly” gain powers, does his affiliation with S.T.A.R. Labs and The Flash mean that he might be a metahuman,...

It's speculation time! Reports are coming in that Franz Drameh (Attack The Block, Hereafter, Edge Of Tomorrow) has joined the cast of the CW's Arrow/The Flash spinoff show. His character has the good old fashioned alliterative secret identity name of Jay Jackson, but the DC superhero he's actually playing remains a mystery. Could it be Static Shock? Black Lighting perhaps? We do have some details on this Mr. Jackson, as according to the official press release he'll be a "former high school athlete, whose pro-career was derailed by injury. Now making ends meets as an auto mechanic, Jay will come to have a surprising affiliation to the S.T.A.R. Labs crew." That makes him sound a Lot like Cyborg, but with that character expected to make his big screen debut in Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, is that likely? Whoever he turns out to be he'll...

Chicago – One of the most well-received 2015 theater performances in Chicago has been from actor Jerod Haynes as boxer Jay Jackson, in American Theater Co’s production of “The Royale.” Inspired by real life boxer Jack Johnson, the play is about setting up an early 1900s heavyweight championship, for the first time in U.S. history, between a black and white boxer.
The play is magnificently incendiary, told through a series of dialogue scenes and monologues. Haynes is magnetic as the mercurial Johnson, and communicates the intelligence, skill and frustration of being a notable African American in a less tolerant time. “The Royale” runs until March 29th, 2015, and is written by Marco Ramirez (“Orange is the New Black”) and directed by Atc ensemble member Jaime Castañeda.

Question one: Is Revenge back?
Question two: Are we destined to ask this same question at the end of every Revenge finale — at least, every finale that follows season 1?
The answers to both remain to be seen — but at least the show will live to answer them at all when it returns next fall. In the meantime, I’m not super interested in debating whether Revenge has managed to retain the luster it lost in season 2; I think we can all agree that latter-day ‘Venge will never quite measure up to the series’ delightfully soapy heyday, even if this year...
