Raised in Central New Jersey, Jim Started out making super 8 films
played to Pink Floyd records. In 1981 he was elected into a state
funded program for the gifted in the arts called "Project Easel". While
in that program, he met friends with whom he later started a band and
developed his production skills by making his own music videos, several
aired nationally on PBS. In 1989, he got his first job in Television as
an assistant editor for Picsonic Productions in New York City. He
remained there until 1997, when he joined Voltage Video, also in New
York City.
He went freelance in 1999 before landing his current job as Senior Avid Editor at MSNBC. He is currently editing news packages and documentaries. He has won several Telly Awards (1990, 1992, 1995, 1997) the Communicator Award (1998) the Videography Award (1999) and he won a Silver Medal at the New York Film Festival for his editing of MSNBC Report.
