Ham Kinsey frequently worked as Stan Laurel's stand-in and double when
he worked for the Hal Roach Studio.
An extra named 'John Wood' from the film March of the Wooden Soldiers (1934) sued him and Stan Laurel,
claiming back injuries after Laurel and Kinsey threw him in the ducking
pond on the set. The lawsuit specified $40,500 in damages, but was
settled out-of-court.
