HGTV has given a series greenlight to Farmhouse Fixer, featuring New Kids on the Block’s Jonathan Knight. It’s set to premiere Wednesday, March 3 at 9 pm Et/Pt on HGTV.
The six-episode series will feature Knight, who has renovated more than 200 houses, as he carefully preserves the original craftsmanship and historic charm of classic homes while he also modernizes layouts, updates interiors and gives his clients endless reasons to cheer.
“Restoring the American farmhouse is not just a hobby for me—it’s my passion, my obsession and I’ve been doing it for more than 25 years,” said Knight. “It’s so easy to just go knock down an old house. It’s way harder to renovate them so that families can enjoy them for years to come. That’s the reason this work is so worth it.”

Marcia Brady is heading back to Hgtv… Maureen McCormick, who played the eldest Brady daughter Marcia in the ABC comedy The Brady Bunch, is fronting Frozen in Time for the Discovery-owned network.
McCormick, who was one of the six surviving Brady Bunch cast members to appear in A Very Brady Renovation, will host another home renovation series for the network.
The show, which is set to air this spring, will see McCormick and designer Dan Vickery overhaul homes that are stuck in a design time warp. In each episode, Vickery will bring the structure up-to-date, while McCormick sources decade-specific pieces that will give the home a refreshed look and a wink to its original era.
This follows the ratings success of A Very Brady Renovation, which saw the original cast overhaul the house used in the sitcom’s exterior shots. That show launched in September after Hgtv purchased the Studio City house.

The 2018 edition of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve turned into a rain-soaked spectacle for performers Christina Aguilera, New Kids on the Block, Dan + Shay and Bastille, but that didn’t dampen the spirits of the artists, waterlogged hosts Ryan Seacrest and Jenny McCarthy, or the crowd of over 1 million revelers who crammed into New York’s Times Square for hours on Monday.
Aguilera, clad in a large, belted, snow-white ball gown and towering thigh-high boots, looked regal as she nailed a long medley of her hits “Genie in a Bottle,” “Come on Over, “’Aint No Other Man, “Can’t Hold Us Down” and “Fighter” while a steady rain poured down — she thanked the crowd for braving the elements and, after the performance, joked that her daughter’s middle name is Rain, so she felt right at home.

The Grammy nominee has renovated more than 200 houses over 20 years, per the popular cable channel. For television, Knight plans to preserve a centuries-old farmhouse’s historic charm while adding a modern layout with high-end amenities, Hgtv said in a media release.
