In the 1970s, he came out of semi-retirement to record in various genres
including gospel, country and Pop. Examples of such were "Glory Train"
which featured backup singers and an impressive remake of
The Fleetwoods' 1959 hit, "Come Softly To Me", where he demonstrated a previously unfamiliar vocal range.
