In a post to Truth Social on Wednesday, Trump expressed his disappointment that Americans for Prosperity Action (Afp Action), a conservative political advocacy group, had chosen to support former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley over him.
Afp Action, which was founded by billionaire brothers Charles Koch and the late David Koch, released a statement on Tuesday that asserted that Haley, former governor of South Carolina, was the most capable candidate to challenge Trump in the primaries. They commended her leadership qualities and said she had “what it takes to lead a policy agenda to take on our nation’s biggest challenges.”
On Wednesday, Trump wrote, “The Globalist Koch Fake ‘Network,’ Americans for China Prosperity, who constantly admit that they did better in Business under President Trump than Ever Before, have decided to back Nikki ‘Birdbrain’ Haley over Ron DeSanctimonious, a minor hit for Ron.”
He added,...

Ken Burns has made a statement after a photo surfaced of the documentary filmmaker with Supreme Court justice Clarence Thomas and billionaire David Koch. While Koch has funded one of Burns’ documentaries, Burns maintains that he and the Supreme Court Justice have no connections or relationship.
“Around ten years ago, Ken was stopped and asked to take a photograph with a Supreme Court Justice and David Koch, who was a supporter of public television and would later provide some funding for his film, ‘The Vietnam War.’ So he took the photo, as he has done with many, many others. Other than the taking of that photograph and innocuous pleasantries, that’s the extent of his contact with Justice Thomas,” a spokesperson for Burns said in a statement to Variety.
“The Vietnam War” is a 10-part, 18-hour long PBS documentary piece that chronicles first-hand accounts from witnesses and participants from both sides of the war.

Documentary filmmaker Ken Burns began trending on social media Friday for appearing in a photo with Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and billionaire David Koch.
However, Burns said he does not have a relationship with Thomas, other than taking the photo. Koch has funded one of Burns’ documentaries.

Clarence Thomas attended donor events hosted by the billionaire Koch brothers — whose organizations and legal projects regularly appear before the Supreme Court. According to a report from ProPublica, the Supreme Court justice has appeared at least two summits hosted by the wealthy conservatives, one of which had been previously reported on, and a second which was not disclosed.
Most recently, Thomas appeared as a speaker at an exclusive dinner for high-level donors during the Koch network’s 2018 Palm Springs summit. One former Koch network executive told ProPublica that these kinds...

Australian morning show host Natalie Barr called Meghan Markle a “tosser” live on air following the duchesses’ recent tell-all interview.
“I couldn't even stomach getting through the whole article,” Barr, who is reportedly known for her candour, told her cohost David Koch.
“I think in Australia we’d say she’s just full of it. She’s a tosser. She’s a total tosser,” she continued.
“That’s how we would describe her. I just can’t… the way she speaks.”
Another host on the show, Edwina Bartholomew, suggested more sympathetically: “I think she has a very different narrative, perhaps, in the US to what is being accepted in the UK.”
Barr responded: “Or just everywhere in the world!” as Koch interjected: “That’s Eddie’s code for tosser!”

Billionaires is a long, detailed book, with many more words than you’d expect for a graphic novel, and a long list of sources at the end – a well-researched and carefully-organized work of non-fiction. So my post here may be less detailed; any questions raised by the book will be best answered by the book.
Darryl Cunningham makes non-fiction comics, I think – the book I’ve previously seen by him was titled How To Fake a Moon Landing in the US (and less puckishly in his native UK), and his bio in this book lists several other similar titles. From what I’ve seen, he’s not entirely serious – there’s a thread of humor here, mostly in commentary about events, or in how he draws things – but his purpose is essentially serious, and, in this book, mostly a warning.
This is a book, broadly, about how massive concentrations of...
