Margaretha Krook
Edit
A statue of her is erected outside Stockholm's Royal Dramatic Theater - in the corner where she often stood smoking.
The last four New-years-eves of her life, she declamed the poem "Nyårsklockorna" at Skansen in Stockholm.
Had an extremely good memory: she only had to read a manuscript once to remember it.
After her death, a journalist wrote: "The only role that she didn't really managed to play was the role as herself".
In 1998, the Swedish Union for Theatre, Artists and Media awarded her their Gold Medal for her "exceptional artistic accomplishments".
Has a daughter: Lotta Hammar.
