- Spent several years traveling around the world as a dancer on tour with Prince.
- Following the death of her character Jenny Calendar on Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997), she returned for two more episodes to play other characters manifesting themselves as Jenny. The first was in the season 2 finale, Becoming: Part 2 (1998), when Drusilla assumes the form of Jenny in order to fool Giles into revealing critical information. Her final appearance was in the season 3 episode Amends (1998), when the First Evil takes the form of Jenny, as well as some of Angel's other victims, in order to trick him into murdering Buffy.
- Studied at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts before receiving a full scholarship to study dance at the Dupree Dance Academy in Hollywood. She began dancing at the age of 12 after becoming inspired by the film Flashdance (1983), and was a professional dancer by the age of 16.
- An accomplished dancer, she has appeared in over thirty music videos. The first music video she appeared in was for Debbie Gibson's single "Shake Your Love".
- She was brought up as a Roman Catholic and spent much of her early adulthood as part of the New Age Movement. However, during the summer of 1997, when Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997) was on hiatus between its first and second seasons, she became a born-again Christian following several life events, which included an encounter with Christian bikers on a California freeway.
- When she was asked to return to Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997) for the season 3 episode Amends (1998), she agreed before even reading the script. However, she was unaware that as her character was being used as a pawn by the First Evil, she would essentially be playing a character who was the equivalent of Satan. As a devout Christian, she felt very uncomfortable with this, and though she honored her contract, she does not believe it was her best performance. She has since said that she would have been willing to return to the series again for further episodes, but she was never approached.
- After being paired with dancer Lori Werner, the pair became known as "Diamond and Pearl" and were eventually dancers for Prince. She and Werner appear on the cover of Prince's album Diamonds and Pearls, and are featured in the music videos for the album's singles "Cream", "Gett Off", "Strollin'", as well as its title track, "Diamonds and Pearls".
- In April 2006, she appeared on the Trinity Broadcasting Network, where she announced that she has retired from acting and is focusing on full-time Christian ministry and counseling.
- Her surname, "LaMorte", means "the dead one" in French, and, due to its correspondence with the female form of the noun, can literally be translated as "the dead woman".
- She spends much of her time attending fan conventions, as well as ministering and preaching the Gospel. She is still very active in the entertainment business, frequently appearing in television commercials. (October 2004)
