Whenever she finds herself in a room surrounded by TV’s biggest stars, Rhea Seehorn is always looking for Bob Odenkirk. “He’s my partner in crime,” the Better Call Saul star says of her co-star. This awards season will likely be no different, as Seehorn, Odenkirk and the AMC series are all nominated once again for Emmy Awards.
For the second year in a row, Seehorn scored a nom for her performance as Kim Wexler, a role she’s played over six seasons and seven years. But this time marks Seehorn’s last outing as the character, as the series closed with its final season in August 2022.
Coming off last year’s nomination, Seehorn isn’t any less excited for the mayhem to come — eventually, as the ceremony itself has been pushed to Jan. 15, 2024: “I am an eternally not-jaded person,” she says, adding that she intends to deploy...

Oscar-nominated The Messenger director/co-writer Oren Moverman will co-write and direct a biopic of singer/songwriter Kurt Cobain.
Screenwriter David Benioff (25th Hour, X-Men Origins: Wolverine) first took on the project in 2007 and did first-hand research with Cobain’s old friends. Moverman will rework the script.
The movie about the life, music and 1994 suicide of the Nirvana star will be based on Charles R Cross‘ 2001 biography, Heavier Than Heaven: A Biography Of Kurt Cobain.
Cobain was the tortured genius behind Nirvana who committed suicide by shotgun in April of 1994, several months after the release of their album In Utero. He left behind a widow, Hole’s Courtney Love and a daughter. His bandmates, Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl, founded the Foo Fighters.
Eric Fellner, Tim Bevan and Graham Larson are producing. Courtney Love will executive produce, which hopefully won’t result in a self-serving hagiography about Love’s desperate...

Tortured godfather of the early 90s grunge scene and spokesman for an entire generation Kurt Cobain looks to be finally getting an official biopic. Oscar-nominated writer/director Oren Moverman is in talks to direct the project as a joint venture between Universal and Working Title. As of now the film is untitled but the two production companies have been trying to get a Cobain film up and running since 2007.
David Benioff was hired back then to adapt the Charles R. Cross book, Heavier Than Heaven. Universal and Working Title have also bought the life rights of both Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love. With Oren Moverman in negotiations it is likely he will work from Benioff’s script. Eric Fellner and Tim Bevan will obviously produce with Graham Larson but the major news here is that Courtney Love herself will executive produce.

Paramount is getting behind the power of the press.
The Melrose studio has picked up the life rights of Missouri journalist Linda Trest, who helped break open the cover of a drug-busting con man. Screenwriters Anthony Walton and Andrew Dresher have been brought on board to script a film inspired by her story.
Brad Pitt’s Plan B is producing with “Troy” writer David Benioff.
The 51-year-old Trest was a reporter for the Gasconade County Republican in Gerald, Mo., when she began hearing stories about a federal agent nicknamed “Sergeant Bill” who was rousting people from their homes. Since Gerald had been ravaged by methamphetamine abuse, local law enforcement was happy to assist the fed’s efforts to clean up the town with arrests, home searches and investigations.
The only hitch: Bill A. Jakob turned out to be just an unemployed cop and former trucking company owner from a different...

David Benioff has signed on to pen the untitled Kurt Cobain project being developed by Working Title, Reveille Motion Pictures and Universal.
Many of the details of the biopic of the Nirvana frontman still are in early conception stages, so it is unclear what form the narrative would take and how Nirvana music will fit into it. Benioff will use as a reference the 2001 book “Heavier Than Heaven, ” by Charles Cross, which the production recently acquired.
Also unclear is whether Courtney Love, Cobain’s widow, would appear onscreen. Love is on board as executive producer, along with Howard Weitzman, who at one time was vice chairman of Universal Studios and now is an attorney who reps Love.
Working Title’s Eric Fellner and Tim Bevan and Reveille’s Ben Silverman and Graham Larson are on board to produce.
Cobain and his band helped usher the age of grunge rock, and their song “Smells Like Teen Spirit” became the anthem to a generation.
