The Dave Matthews Band (Dmb) has announced this year’s summer tour.
The band will return to some of the venues they performed at last year during the 2023 Summer Tour. Places like The Woodlands, Texas, West Palm Beach, Florida and Wantagh, New York, among others, will be welcoming the rock band back.
Many of their tour stops will have them staying for two nights and performing back-to-back concerts.
Also, like last year, Dmb is scheduled to conclude the summer tour in George, Washington, at the Gorge Amphitheatre in September.
Dmb has found much success since their formation in 1991. With ten studio albums, they’ve sold over 30 million albums in the whole country alone. They’ve also been nominated for the Grammy Awards 14 times and won Best Rock Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group in 1997.
Band members include frontman Dave Mathews, bassist Stefan Lessard, drummer Carter Beauford, violinist Boyd Tinsley and saxophonist LeRoi Moore.

There was a moment when Megan Thee Stallion was in the studio laying down her latest single, “Cobra,” that hit like an epiphany. Artist/producer Diggy Lessard had just finished unleashing an epic guitar solo from his Gibson Sg when the rapper proclaimed: “This is it. This is that thing right there. This hasn’t been done before,” according to Lessard. “That’s just another testament to how crucial she was to the process,” the 25-year-old guitarist tells me. “She just knew exactly what we were creating in that moment.

Eddie Vedder performed a moving version of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers' "Room at the Top" during the "In Memoriam" segment of the 2018 Oscars.
The Pearl Jam frontman stripped back the 1999 single to a soft croon, strummed electric guitar and swirling keyboard strings. Scoring Sessions
From scores featuring Horrible Bosses, Marvel Agents, and Knights to movie soundtracks starring Kevin Hart and more Kevin Hart, Christopher Lennertz hasn’t slowed his TV/film composing pace since we last interviewed him during the release of Think Like A Man Too.
With audiences embracing Horrible Bosses 2 after its November 2014 opening (as of Dec. 28, 2014: $93M worldwide), I recently spoke with Lennertz about the sequel, his upcoming films The Wedding Ringer and Ride Along 2, as well as composing for ABC’s new musical comedy, “Galavant” and “Marvel’s Agent Carter.”
Wamg: Coming up on January 16th is The Wedding Ringer. Audiences from the early screenings are saying it’s very funny.
Cl: It’s getting really great feedback. The Nsfw red-band trailer is absolutely hilarious. The movie is described as The Hangover meets Something About Mary. The funny thing about it is it looks like...

Gulf Shores, Alabama — Not long after the Dave Matthews Band had finished their cover of Bob Dylan's "All Along the Watchtower" on Sunday night, and only minutes after the final flare of fireworks had faded out over the Gulf of Mexico, the crew who held the Hangout Festival together for three long days was already in the process of tearing the whole thing down.
Fences were disassembled and carted off by forklift, massive stage-spanning banners were folded by weary stagehands, and crews of volunteers walked arm-in-arm along the stretch of white-sand beach picking up empties and stray cigarette butts. Such is the task of closing up shop at a fest unlike any other,...

U.S. presidents have typically stayed out of the "who is going to win 'American Idol'" fray in the past in order to avoid upsetting any voting blocs. But that doesn't mean that foreign dignitaries can't offer up their two cents.
That might explain why on the eve of the penultimate performance night on "Idol," the Associated Press reported that Philippine president Benigno Aquino III has wholeheartedly endorsed his choice for next week's finale: Jessica Sanchez.

For many, the Dave Matthews Band is summer. So, after a 20-year kinship with the band on the road, what exactly would a Dmb-less summer look like for devoted fans? Lucky for "Dave heads," they'll no longer have to ponder that prospect.
In 2010 the band announced they would be taking a hiatus from touring in 2011, but in the months that followed, an announcement was made that the multifaceted group — which includes Dave Matthews, Carter Beauford, Stefan Lessard and Boyd Tinsley, as well as Rashawn Ross, Tim Reynolds and Jeff Coffin (who stepped in after the death of founding member LeRoi Moore) — would be headlining a four-stop, multi-act Caravan festival from June to September.
On February 22, members of Dmb's fan club, the Warehouse, received a cryptic "save the date" e-mail...

It's MTV's World Cup of Rock! The World Cup is the greatest sporting event on the planet, a super-sized stage where legends are born with every strike of the ball, where infamy is just a moment away and where the dreams of millions live or die by the minute. That's why, in the spirit of the 2010 MTV Musical March Madness competition, we've created "The World Cup (Of Rock)," a FIFA-style tournament that takes 16 of the biggest nations — rock-wise (sorry Algeria) — and pits them against one another to determine just which is the most rockingly awesome. Heavyweights like the U.S.A., England, France and Germany are all here, but so are a handful of surprisingly strong sleeper countries. As the Cup progresses, we'll be unveiling the match-ups, and it's up to you to vote your favorites through. In the end, only one nation will be left standing: the world champion of rock.

Dave Matthews Band are giving away their new song. Starting on April 14, when they kick off their summer tour, until a week ahead, they give fans a chance to download for free "Funny the Way It Is", the first single off their upcoming album "Big Whiskey and the Groogrux King".
"It's a pretty song and it talks about a lot of things," vocalist/guitarist Dave Matthews says of the new single. "[It's about] death and love and all those things ... but it also talks about the world of opposites that we are in."
"That's the idea behind the song - that we will spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to save a kid's life," the singer continues. "And then we will drop bombs out of the sky on each other and blow a whole school of them to pieces without a thought. And that's a funny world. ... That's why it's called 'Funny the Way It Is'.
