- As a song and dance man he was in the original production of "The Rocky Horror Show" (taking over from Richard O'Brien as Riff Raff), "Gulliver's Travels", "Tallulah Who?", "Me and My Girl", played Mr Cellophone in "Chicago" and won rave reviews as the gentle cop killer Earl Williams in " Windy City" .

Created water stage in Camden Lock and Capital Radio commissioned first rendition of Robert's (with Hereward Kaye) musical comedy "Moby Dick the musical" using London's first baseball team, the London Eagles (in full armour) as the whale's back. Opened New Cornet Theatre (now Jongleurs) to present first drag version of "Moby Dick". Two versions later, and the cult schoolgirl version (produced by Sir Cameron Mackintosh ) hit the West End and continues to play globally.

- (1992) He directed and adapted with Hereward Kaye's musical of the Herman Melville's novel, "Moby Dick," at the Piccadilly Theatre in London, England with Tony Monopoly, Mark White, Joanne Redman, and Jayne Collins in the cast. Robert Longden was also director.
