He did freelance work on several Charlie Brown specials, beginning with "A Boy Named Charlie Brown".
Animator, with Disney from 1933, subsequently with Hanna-Barbera studio. His work at the latter included Scooby-Doo, The Flintstones, The Jetsons, The Smurfs and Tom and Jerry. Winner of a Winsor McCay Award.
He animated Cleo the goldfish and Figaro the cat in "Pinocchio" and the "Nutcracker Suite" fish dance in "Fantasia".
He started out designing sets and costumes.
In 2015, Lusk was the recipient of the Winsor McCay lifetime achievement award at the Annies.
Served with the U.S. Marines in its newly created Animation Unit during World War 2.
