SXSW kicks off today, and the sunny, BBQ roasted city of Austin is probably the perfect place for "Casa De Mi Padre" to making its premiere. The odd ball comedy stars Will Ferrell, Diego Luna, Gael Garcia Bernal, Nick Offerman and Genesis Rodriguez in a riff on Mexican telenovelas, that tells the story of rancher who falls in love with his brother's fiancé and winds up in a war with a drug lord. In other words, it's exactly what you might expect from Will Ferrell except here's the thing -- it's all in Spanish.
And that carries over to the soundtrack as well, which has Christina Aguilera belting out the title track, a few more songs by a variety of players (including two sung by Will Ferrell) and some score pieces by Andrew Feltenstein and John Nau.
