- A seasoned executive in the entertainment industry, Nini Mazen has worked on more than 100 feature films, cable, network and digital media projects serving as Producer, Associate Producer, Consultant and Post Production Producer/Supervisor.
She has broad experience in managing big-budget and independent films and television productions domestically and internationally to completion.
During her career, Ms. Mazen has worked with some of the industry's most well-known and respected directors, producers and writers including Herbert Ross, John Frankenheimer, Norman Mailer, Ray Stark, Frank Price, Blake Edwards, Frank Pierson, Aaron Spelling, Paula Weinstein and Joel Silver, Fred Roos, Tobe Hooper, Suzanne Todd, Robert Altman, Andrei Konchalovsky, Barbet Schroder, Jim Brubaker, J. Lee Thompson, Jerry Belson, Gary Goddard, Tom Hammel, Marykay Powell, Larry Gilbert, Jeffrey Silver and Kevin Costner, among others.
Ms. Mazen began her career at Cannon Films, Inc., where she managed post-production crews in Los Angeles, New York, London, Paris, Tel Aviv and Rome. In 1989, she was named Vice President of Post Production for 21st Century Film Corp., where she supervised all post-production activities for their feature films globally as well as oversaw the creation of trailers and promotional reels and coordinated the delivery of films to film festivals worldwide.
In the early 1990s, Ms. Mazen joined HBO's Motion Picture Division, Cinema Plus L.P., a Time Warner Entertainment Company, where she was in charge of motion picture, post production supervisors for various feature films that were released domestically through Warner Bros. and internationally through Summit Entertainment. She served as a key liaison for HBO executives, production and marketing executives at Warner Bros., while working with film directors, producers and line producers. Her responsibilities included supervision of post production supervisors, budgets, weekly cost reports and schedules; managing staff and vendors in all departments, including picture, sound, music, and VFX; and overseeing the final delivery of all elements to Warner Bros., Summit Entertainment and HBO.
Ms. Mazen has been credited as an Associate Producer on numerous projects, including the multiple Emmy award winning "And the Band Played On" for HBO. Darren Star's "Runaway" for Sony Pictures Television. Sarah Silverman's pilot project for HBO, "El Cantante" for Jennifer Lopez's, first feature film from her newly created production company, Nuyorican Productions and Joel Silver's Cryptkeeper Pictures, "Weird World" for FOX.
Mazen served as Post Production Producer on various projects including, HBO's "The Sopranos" as well as Kevin Costner's feature film project "3000 Miles to Graceland" for Warner Bros.
Ms. Mazen has been called upon as a consultant on various projects including Philip Anschutz, Crusader Entertainment, films produced in Australia, as well as Academy award winner Robert DeNiro's feature film directing and starring project, "The Good Shepherd" for Universal Pictures. She consulted on Kobe Bryant's, "Season 20" a documentary feature film about his 20th year with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Mazen continues to work in various capacities on productions within the entertainment industry, in feature films, cable, network and new digital media.
Ms. Mazen graduated with honors from California Institute of the Arts, CalArts - Walt Disney School of Theatre, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Production Stage Management - Performing Arts, Design and Technology.
