For nearly 40 years, WrestleMania has been the biggest wrestling show in the world. WWE’s “showcase of the immortals” has gifted fans with unforgettable moments and all-time great matches. It remains one of the cornerstones of the professional wrestling industry.
Yet, for all its grandeur and history, WrestleMania is often a surprisingly reliable source of historically bad moments. The biggest show of the year sometimes lets us down in ways that no lesser event ever could. That’s especially true of the worst matches in the show’s history.
Before we dive into those matches, keep in mind that I tried to draw a line between “boring” and “bad.” So, while there are many matches from WrestleMania‘s early days that look bad through modern eyes, many of those matches were short and ultimately pretty forgettable. Instead, Iwe focused on the matches that left the darkest clouds over WrestleMania‘s history.

Rhea Ripley stands out as one of the most powerful female wrestlers globally today. Her remarkable physique, characterized by significant muscle mass, sets her apart from the average wrestler. This impressive physique is the result of rigorous gym sessions and a disciplined diet.

Rhea Ripley’s Insane Body Transformation Is Truly Inspirational
What a difference seven years can make. The evolution of a WWE Superstar throughout their career is something fans truly appreciate, and Rhea Ripley exemplifies this notion perfectly. Her journey demonstrates that the early stages of a wrestler’s career may not accurately depict the Superstar they’ll become in the future. However, this transformation hasn’t always been smooth sailing for Ripley.
Initially, Ripley’s body was noticeably leaner when she began her career, lacking the muscular definition that now defines her. Over the years, her physique has undergone a remarkable transformation, evolving impressively to its current state.

WWE is continuing to deal with fallout from sexual-abuse allegations facing its former longtime chief Vince McMahon, with shares in parent Tko Group Holdings slipping Monday as investors weigh the potential downside.
Shares in Tko fell 4.4% today on nearly twice their normal trading volume, closing at $82.73. The stock is well below the level where it began trading last September after the merger of WWE with the UFC in a newly public entity controlled by Endeavor Group Holdings. One prominent Wall Street firm earlier Monday flagged “brand and legal risk” to Tko from the lawsuit filed against McMahon and former WWE talent chief John Laurinaitis by former employee Janel Grant, who offered graphic details in laying out accusations of sex trafficking, battery and rape.
McMahon, who in 2022 disclosed paying more than $12 million to multiple women to resolve other sexual misconduct complaints, has denied Grant’s claims.

WWE executive chairman Vince McMahon has expressed confidence that a new federal investigation into misconduct allegations against him will be “resolved without any findings of wrongdoing.”
On July 17, federal law enforcement executed a search warrant and served a federal grand jury subpoena on McMahon to investigate the allegations, the company revealed in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing on Wednesday.
WWE said in the filing that it received “voluntary and compulsory legal demands for documents, including from federal law enforcement and regulatory agencies, concerning the investigation and related subject matters.”
According to the filing, no charges have been brought in the federal government’s investigations. McMahon is currently out on a medical leave of absence “until further notice” following a major spinal surgery, the filing adds.

Forty-three years after Vince McMahon founded the company now known as the WWE, and 70 years after his father entered the professional wrestling business, the McMahon family appears ready to give up control of their empire, closing in on a multibillion-dollar deal to sell the WWE to Endeavor, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
Assuming the deal is completed, the expectation is that the WWE would be merged with Endeavor’s UFC to create a new stand-alone public company, with the Ari Emanuel-led firm holding a majority stake. CNBC first reported the deal with Endeavor.
The companies are in advanced talks, and a deal may be announced this week. The WWE is holding its flagship Wrestlemania event in Los Angeles over the weekend.
The potential sale comes after McMahon’s January return to the sports entertainment company as executive chairman. In 2022, he retired from the company amid a misconduct investigation by the board of directors.

WWE executive chairman Vince McMahon has paid his company $17.4 million, reimbursing it for costs associated with the WWE board’s investigation into alleged hush money payments made by McMahon while he was CEO.
According to a securities filing Friday afternoon, McMahon made the payment Thursday, March 23. McMahon also agreed to reimburse the company for any additional costs tied to the investigation subsequent to Jan. 31.
“The Agreement also includes a release of Mr. McMahon by the Company regarding the recovery of the costs described above and a release of the Company by Mr. McMahon regarding the investigation and related matters described above,” the filing adds.
The payments by McMahon close the door (for now) on the board investigation, which examined claims of misconduct by McMahon, as well as payments made to former employees. McMahon initially stepped back from certain executive duties last June as the investigation got underway, and retired the following month.

WWE 2K23 features quite a few improvements to the franchise formula that will certainly be welcomed by wrestling game fans everywhere. Of course, some things never change, which means that WWE 2K23 still makes you unlock quite a few wrestlers via gameplay accomplishments and by spending both real and virtual currency.
The very good news is that WWE 2K23 makes the various unlock processes fairly painless. The problem is that the game doesn’t always do a great job of telling you exactly how to unlock those wrestlers or the best way to go about acquiring all of them. Hopefully, we can help ease that part of the unlock system just a bit.

The vast majority of wrestlers in WWE 2K23 are unlocked via the game’s Virtual Currency (Vc) system. Every wrestler available via the in-game store costs 1,000 Vc to unlock.

WWE, led by CEO Nick Khan after co-ceo Stephanie McMahon resigned, posted revenue in its fourth quarter up 5 percent to 325.3 million, while operating income fell 22 percent to 62.7 million.
Net income for the fourth quarter went down to 38.8 million, against 60.9 million in the same period of 2021. The latest rise in quarterly revenue at the TV wrestling giant was due to higher network revenues for premium live events like Crown Jewel and Extreme Rules, the company said.

Stephanie McMahon said Tuesday she’s stepping down as co-ceo of WWE, the week after her father Vince announced plans to return as executive chairman to oversee the next round of rights deals and a possible sale.
The younger McMahon made the announcement via Twitter. Former longtime CEO Vince McMahon resigned in July amid a scandal over payouts to women. Upon his re-entrance last week, he rejiggered the company’s board of directors — adding himself and two allies and ejecting three other directors — but said he would leave management intact. He’s WWE’s controlling shareholder with an 80 stake.
Stephanie McMahon said she’s leaving the company in good hands with co-ceo Nick Khan and head of content, Paul Levesque. Full tweet below.
