Former Bachelorette contestant Tyler Cameron isn’t pulling any punches when it comes to his feelings about Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist, the first Golden Bachelor couple who announced their divorce last week.
“They have put a true stain on love in the Bachelor world,” the recent participant from Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test said during an interview on SiriusXM’s The Happy Hour. “Three months? They make all my relationships seem very long. Golly. I’m a dating expert compared to them.”
“It brought so much joy back to the Bachelor,” he added about the new Bachelor iteration that featured 60-and over bachelorettes vying for Turner’s love. “Then they just pulled the rug right from under us.”

Jimmy Kimmel was widely praised last month for presiding over an entertaining edition of The Academy Awards that actually saw year-over-year ratings growth (a rarity these days in linear television).
In fact, it was such a success that when asked whether he’d invite Kimmel back to host next year, ABC’s executive vice president of Unscripted and Alternative Entertainment Rob Mills said he’d be willing to sign Kimmel to a “lifetime contract” for hosting the Oscars. “I mean, I will certainly beg him to do it,” he said.
At the time, Kimmel’s side seemed less enthused. Asked about the possibility of returning, Kimmel’s wife and producing partner Molly McNearny said they needed time to think about it. “Ask me in a month or two after I’ve had a little bit of vitamin D maybe… I honestly don’t know. I feel like we’ve done a great job.

The 2024 Oscars ceremony was an eventful ceremony, to say the least. From Jimmy Kimmel’s hilarious jokes to Ryan Gosling’s wonderful and powerful I’m Just Ken live performance, the ceremony was attended by some of the biggest names in Hollywood.

The night saw some surprise wins as well as some expected ones, but overall it was a memorable evening that left the audience entertained and satisfied. Yet, apart from Barbie snubs and Oppenheimer bagging 7 awards, one thing stood out the most: A naked John Cena! While fans had some wild reactions to the moment, Oscar producers revealed that it was not an easy thing to pull off.

Turns out LateNighter’s Bill Carter isn’t the only one who thought Jimmy Kimmel’s fourth go at The Oscars Sunday night was a success.
In an interview with Variety Monday, ABC’s executive vice president of Unscripted and Alternative Entertainment Rob Mills sang Kimmel’s praises, saying he planned to “beg” the late-night host to host again next year.
But that’s not all. “If he wants to sign a lifetime contract, I would love that, Mills added. “Jimmy has just got this down. He’s got the playbook perfected.”
Given that Kimmel says he’s considering retiring from hosting his own show when his current contract ends, he’s not likely to sign anything anytime soon.
Asked on Monday whether she thought they’d return next year, Kimmel’s wife and producing partner Molly McNearney told Variety, “I would obviously be honored to do it. But I honestly don’t know.

All Ryan Gosling needed was a 40-piece orchestra, 62 dancing Kens, over 24 gigantic Barbie heads, four “cameo Kens” and a Guns N’Roses surprise to turn his highly anticipated performance of “Barbie” track “I’m Just Ken” into one of the most unbelievable moments in award show history.
After all the protracted speculation about whether Gosling would perform “I’m Just Ken” at the Oscars, the news broke in late February that he had been confirmed for a song and dance extravaganza. But in fact, Oscars producers had been talking to Gosling for months.
“Ryan Gosling is a true professional, that man — we met with him on Zooms months ago, talking about that performance,” said Molly McNearney, who produced the show with Raj Kapoor, Katy Mullan and Rob Paine. “Greta Gerwig weighed in creatively as well. He was so committed to it. His choreographer, Mandy Moore, is exceptional — she was on all the calls.

Fearing “not just a fine from the FCC, but potential complaints” from viewers, the producers of this year’s Oscars telecast took great pains to make sure that John Cena’s, um, peacemaker did not make a primetime appearance — all whilst maintaining the illusion that the actor was 100% naked behind that envelope.
Conceived as a nod to the streaker that famously crashed the Academy Awards ceremony 50 years ago, the premise for the mid-ceremony bit was that Cena was having second thoughts about presenting the award for Costuming while in the buff. Just minutes before the Oscars were set to begin, the show’s producers realized they had a problem: Some of the year’s key A-listers and nominees weren’t inside the Dolby Theatre just yet. The perfect storm of traffic delays, pro-Palestine protests, the first day of daylight saving time and an earlier start time had contributed to the last-minute crunch.
“We were definitely stressed out, because we had to have certain celebrities in their seats,” Oscars producer Molly McNearney — also an EP on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” — tells Variety on Monday morning. “We talk to people in the monologue. And in order to for that to pay off, you want to see their reactions. We were still waiting on five or six people to get into their seats. It was definitely chaotic to get them all in quickly. So we pushed by five minutes, which didn’t feel like too much.

The women of The Golden Bachelor were as surprised as we were that Gerry is only picking three of them for hometown dates this season.
Normally on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, the star chooses four of their remaining contenders for hometown dates, flying to visit them in their hometowns and meet their families. But in this Thursday’s episode, host Jesse Palmer informed the six remaining ladies that only three of them would make it through to hometowns. So why the change?

ABC’s smash hit dating series The Bachelor just grew up and apparently, a series like The Golden Bachelor had been in the planning stages for more than three years.
Producers announced the latest Bachelor Nation spinoff that features a more mature bachelor in his “golden” years. Instead of helping a 20 or 30-year-old bachelor find love, the series will feature a man in his early 70s, who was recently widowed.
The new series makes sense considering that the franchise has a wide age appeal. But producers have been working on the show for more than three years. Why did it take The Bachelor producers so long to launch The Golden Bachelor?

The Bachelor has been a reality TV show mainstay since it debuted in 2002, but there are signs that interest in the original show is in decline. For the first time, the drama and controversy about the season’s set-up are leading to apathy and lower ratings among the fan base.

ABC’s The Bachelor Season 27 is here, and fans are already reeling over an incident with one of the contestants on Twitter. Gabby Windey chose Erich Schwer at the end of The Bachelorette Season 19. Erich got down on one knee for Gabby, though fans later discovered that a high school photo shows Erich in blackface. This incident came after fans found that The Bachelor star Rachael Kirkconnell attended a plantation-themed party.
“I wholeheartedly apologize for the insensitive photo of me in blackface from my high school yearbook that has been circulating,” he wrote on Instagram.

The Oscars has people talking in a way the ceremony has not been able to in years. American Idol is losing one of its most popular faces.
Bobby Bones has revealed he will not return for the forthcoming 20th season of the ABC singing competition series.

"My contract [with] my new network won't let me do another show right now. Love Idol, btw. Was a great 4 years."
There are no details on the new project the star is working on, but one fan pointed out that he was recently shooting in Costa Rica, and asked about the show.
Bones said he would share more news "as soon as I can... The network hasn't even announced the show yet. So I'm going to chill for a bit. But it's a really good show.

American Idol will sing again for ABC in 2022.
The network on Thursday announced its fifth season of the reboot would launch Sunday, February 27.
As previously reported, the new season will be hosted by Ryan Seacrest.
Judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie are all set to return.
There were some questions about who would be back after the end of the last season.
"Luke, Katy, Lionel and Ryan are music and industry icons that have become synonymous with 'Idol' on ABC," said Rob Mills, executive vice president, Unscripted and Alternative Entertainment, Walt Disney Television in August.
"Their star power is unmatched, and their support is a gift to our contestants that have deeply benefited from their wisdom over the past four seasons - and they're ready to do it again. As we begin a momentous season, I think it's safe to say this dream team has officially cemented their legacy on 'Idol.

The late-night world has been speculating for some time as to whether Jimmy Kimmel will continue his ABC talkshow after his contract runs out next year.
The Jimmy Kimmel Live! host discussed his future on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show, but admitted that he doesn’t know whether he will continue after the show’s 20th season.
“I vacillate. I do love being off. I love not working. It’s really so much better than working, and the ideal situation is having people do my job for me while I continue to get paid. But I don’t know. I don’t know. I think I know sometimes, and then when it comes time to make the decision, then I feel like I don’t know. But we’ll see. Jimmy Kimmel Live! had its best ratings run since October as the ABC series topped the late-night demo last week.
The talk show won the late-night ratings among adults 18-49 during the week of May 17, beating NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
It ends Fallon’s 12-week run at the demo.
Jimmy Kimmel Live!, which had guests on including Chris Rock and Samira Wiley, averaged 359,000 viewers in the demo in Live+Same Day data, compared to The Tonight Show’s 338,000 and The Late Show’s 278,000. Similarly, when the plus three numbers are added tomorrow, all three shows are expected to be on a 0.3.
It should be noted that The Late Show continues to comfortably dominate in total viewers. But Kimmel has cemented its No.

Matt James will become the first-ever Black star of “The Bachelor” when his season debuts in the new year, and more than one month ahead of the premiere, ABC is giving viewers a glimpse of the new leading man.
“Cheers to falling in love,” James says, raising a glass of champagne with his female suitors, who are seen coming out of the limo in bedazzled gowns, in the first trailer for the new season, which will premiere on Jan. 4 at 8 p.m.
“You’ve never been in love?” host Chris Harrison asks James, who responds, “I haven’t.” Harrison replies, “My job is to change that.”
The promo is full of “Bachelor” must-haves: James is seen without a shirt, he’s seen kissing many different women — in the hot tub, in front of a fireworks display — and multiple women are seen crying their eyes out.

As “The Bachelorette’s” new tagline goes, “the rumors end now.” Three months after the news initially broke, Tayshia Adams replaced Clare Crawley as the Bachelorette in Thursday’s special episode after the latter departed the show with her new fiancé Dale Moss. It was the first time in franchise history that the lead has changed, but producers knew they wanted Adams to step in.
Adams was in consideration to star in Season 16 before producers tapped Crawley in early March. After Crawley, who only had eyes for Moss the second he stepped out of the limo, refused to give out a rose on a group date in the third episode, Tptb knew things might have to change.
“At that point, the producers started discussing like, ‘What would happen if she wants to leave with Dale?’ And that’s when the producers thought that maybe we should reach out to Tayshia,...

Four weeks into season 16 of The Bachelorette, we've gotten an entirely brand-new start. During the Nov. 5 episode, the explosive twist we anticipated for months unfolded right before our eyes: Clare Crawley became engaged to her first impression rose winner Dale Moss, effectively dropping out of the show as Chris Harrison welcomed a new Bachelorette, Tayshia Adams. So, how, exactly, did the producers behind the show manage to find someone that the men and Bachelor Nation would approve of? It turns out it all happened rather quickly. "There really wasn't the luxury of time, so it was very instinctual. We had gotten to know the guys," ABC executive Rob Mills told Variety....

As Clare Crawley's journey on season 16 of The Bachelorette crawled to a close, fans are learning more about how the dramatic exit came to be. The narrative before the show began airing was that Clare returned to the franchise to find her husband and was done with the program when she found him - a mere 12 days after her season began filming. But the hairstylist's final episode and recent interviews with an ABC producer show that it was less of an abrupt ending and more of a mutual decision between Clare and higher-ups.

Spoiler Alert:Do not read if you have not watched the Nov. 5 episode of “The Bachelorette.”
For the first time in the “Bachelor” franchise’s two-decade history, the star of “The Bachelorette” was replaced.
After months of rumors pouring out from the quarantined set, viewers finally learned that Tayshia Adams is taking over the leading lady spot from Clare Crawley on the 16th season.
Crawley fell head-over-heels for contestant Dale Moss immediately when the season began filming in a bubble at La Quinta Resort & Club near Palm Springs, Calif. As viewers witnessed in the premiere, once Moss walked out of the limo on the first night, Crawley said she believed she had met her husband. Then, as the days (and episodes) went on, Crawley only had eyes for Moss, and therefore, was not paying much attention to the other suitors, which became the main storyline of the season. Dancing With the Stars fans were thrown for a loop on Monday when it was announced that Selling Sunset star, Chrishell Stause, was eliminated from the series.
But it seems like Stause is not ruling out a return to ABC in the near future.
The reality TV star appeared on Good Morning America on Tuesday, the morning after getting the boot from the competition series.
It has been heavily rumored that Stause was set to star as The Bachelorette several years ago, something Michael Stragan pointed out on the morning show.
He then asked Stause whether she would like to lead the series.
“Oh my goodness,” Chrishell said.
“That is the question…I mean listen, now I’m available so who knows? At this point in my life, I’ve just said don’t say no to anything… you just never know.”

Bachelor Nation was shook in August when news broke that Clare Crawley was being replaced by Tayshia Adams on “The Bachelorette” after falling for a guy, Dale Moss, two weeks into production. We’ll finally see how it all goes down in a special episode airing Thursday (due to the election), but the moment when producers knew things would have to change has already aired.

ABC named its newest star of “The Bachelor” this week, officially making Peter Weber the leading man for Season 24 of the long-running dating show.
Social media backlash ensued following the announcement due to ABC’s selection lacking diversity, yet again. Since the dating franchise began in 2002, there has been only one “Bachelorette” of color with Rachel Lindsay in Season 13, and there has never been a black “Bachelor” in the series’ 17-year history.
ABC has long faced criticism for its lack of diversity, but this year, the critiques were heard even louder because the network had a fan-favorite option with contestant Mike Johnson, who appeared on Hannah Brown’s season of “The Bachelorette” alongside Weber, and then again on this summer’s season of “Bachelor in Paradise.”

Last night, Peter Weber was unveiled, perhaps unsurprisingly, as the next Bachelor during the season finale of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
Weber’s selection coincided with a season-high rating for “Paradise,” and caps a solid ratings summer for the “Bachelor” franchise. As ratings have been in decline across the board this summer, “The Bachelorette” and “Bachelor in Paradise” have been the two shows holding firm.
“The Bachelorette” was the only show to grow among adults 18-49 from last summer to this one, with a 2.1 average Nielsen rating as opposed to a 2.0 last year (those figures include a week of delayed viewing). It currently stands as the top rated broadcast series of the summer so far, a first for the show, narrowly ahead of “America’s Got Talent.”

ABC has cast its next leading man for Season 24 of “The Bachelor.”
Peter Weber has officially been named the upcoming “Bachelor.” The announcement was made Tuesday night on ABC’s “Bachelor In Paradise” reunion special.
Weber appeared on Season 15 of “The Bachelorette” with Hannah Brown, ultimately becoming the second runner-up. He was a fan-favorite on the series, and has been rumored to become the next “Bachelor” ever since Brown sent him home at the end of her season.

“Shallow” is the gift that keeps on giving for Bradley Cooper. The standout track from the “A Star Is Born” soundtrack officially went to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the week ending March 9, giving Cooper his first ever Billboard chart-topper. The song’s previous high was in the number five position. “Shallow” surged to number one following the song’s big Oscar win for Best Original Song and the now iconic performance Cooper and Lady Gaga gave during the Oscars telecast.
Cooper’s Hot 100 milestone is notable considering how many high profile music artists have never topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart: Bruce Springsteen, One Direction, James Brown, Backstreet Boys, Sheryl Crowe, Chaka Khan, Bob Dylan, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Mc Hammer, New Edition, and more. Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga‘s gorgeous, intimate performance of “Shallow” from “A Star Is Born” at Sunday’s Oscars was one of the high points of the evening, and it should come as no surprise that they were the creative forces behind that showstopping moment.
After “Shallow” received a nomination for Best Original Song, which it won, on Jan. 22, Cooper and Gaga began “meticulously” planning their performance, Rob Mills, ABC’s senior VP of alternative series, specials, and late-night programming, told our sister site Variety.
“Bradley and Gaga, they really had this idea in their head of how they wanted it to be,” Mills said. “And the producers really worked step-by-step with them to make that what they were envisioning a reality… this was staying true to the spirit of the movie as well. They really wanted to kind of embody everything that the characters in the movie stood for in this three-minute number.

The “A Star Is Born” duo performed “Shallow” midway through the Academy Awards, and it was one of the night’s most buzzed-about highlights.
For the Oscar producers, it was also an opportunity to do something a bit different. Rather than have someone introduce the performance, the first few notes of the song — instantly identifiable to most, given its popularity and use in “A Star Is Born’s” marketing campaign — began playing. Cooper and Gaga, sitting in the front row of the Dolby Theatre, locked hands and walked on stage.
“Nobody knew where it was going to be in the show,” Rob Mills, ABC’s senior VP of alternative series, specials, and late-night programming, told Variety.

This season of The Bachelor has been filled with all sorts of drama, injuries, and tragic backstories, but there's one thing it's missing: the always-iconic two-on-one date. And guess what? We're not getting one.
The two-on-one date usually takes place four or five episodes into a season, once villains have been established or there's a clear-cut rivalry between two cast members. The purpose of the date is less about the Bachelor or Bachelorette connecting with his or her suitors, and more about settling a score between two contestants with strong personalities.
Over the years, jilted men and women have been left on islands, in the desert, and even stranded on glaciers to fend for themselves while their opponent rides happily into the sunset with the show's star. It's a time-honored tradition that is rarely skipped - seasons for Andi Dorfman and Juan Pablo Galavis (the villain of his own season...

The mansion that serves as the home of ABC’s “The Bachelor” has burned in the Woolsey fire currently raging in southern California.
The lower house has reportedly been destroyed, while flames have reached the back patio of the main house and are continuing to advance.
“The ‘Bachelor Mansion’ is a private home in one of the current burn areas of Los Angeles,” producers Wbtv said in a statement. “The area has been closed to traffic so we do not know the current status of the home. It is primarily a private residence, and our main concern is with the family who has been displaced, their neighbors, and all the communities impacted by this tragic fire. We thank the tireless efforts of the first responders here in Los Angeles County and across the State.”

Bob Saget is headed back to ABC for another clip-style show, re-teaming with “America’s Funniest Home Videos” producer Vin Di Bona for the more adult-themed, “Videos After Dark.”
“Videos After Dark” will feature Saget offering his comedic take on old clips from the “Afv” team that were deemed too racy to air on the show, which ran on Sunday evenings. Saget hosted the first eight seasons of “Afv,” along with his starring role on ABC’s sitcom, “Full House.” Saget reprised his “Full House” character Danny Tanner on the Netflix revival, “Fuller House.”
Former “Fresh Prince of Bel Air” star Alfonso Ribeiro is the show’s current host, which was picked up for two more seasons on Monday.

Bob Saget is reuniting with producer Vin Di Bona and ABC for a clip-show series, but this time the content will be decidedly more adult-oriented than the family-friendly tone of “America’s Funniest Home Videos.”
“Videos After Dark” will feature Saget offering his comedic take on clips harvested by Di Bona’s “Afv” team over the years that were too risqué for airing at 7 p.m. on Sunday. Saget hosted the first eight seasons of ABC’s enduring unscripted franchise, concurrent with his run on the ABC family comedy “Full House.” The half-hour “Videos After Dark” will air in a 10 p.m. slot when it premieres next year.
In addition to greenlighting “Videos After Dark,” “Afv” has also been renewed for two more seasons, through its 31st frame. “Afv” ranks as one of TV’s longest-running entertainment franchise, having bowed as a special in 1989. “Afv” exec producer Di Bona has...

Alec Baldwin is an actor, author, podcaster, Trump impressionist and, beginning Sunday, the host of a weekly talk show.
His eponymous 10 p.m. show will run Sunday nights on ABC with a guest list that includes Taraji P. Henson, Robert De Niro and Jeff Bridges. The goal, per Baldwin, is to translate his podcast, Wnyc’s Here’s the Thing, to TV — with a considerably higher celebrity quotient, which explains forthcoming guest Kim Kardashian.
The network's unscripted chief, Rob Mills, who has spearheaded the Baldwin passion project internally, has been describing it as "the warm bath style ...
