Tony Montanaro was born on September 10, 1927 in Paulsboro, New Jersey, USA. He was an actor, known for The Clan of the Cave Bear (1986). He died on December 13, 2002 in Casco, Maine, USA.
Became fascinated with mime after attending a performance by Marcel
Marceau in the mid-50s. He later studied with Marceau and Etienne
Decroux in Paris.
Founded in 1972 the Montanaro Mime Theatre School in Maine where he
taught, directed and co-authored the book "Mime Spoken Here" in 1995
with wife Karen Hurll.
