One of the founders of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and its first
President (1933).
Born, with his flamboyant younger brother, the actor Frank Morgan, into a
well-to-do family that formerly distributed in the US the
universally-known condiment, "Angostura Aromatic Bitters."
The Ralph Morgan Award is given annually in his memory by SAG to a
member who has given distinguished service to his fellow actors.
Graduated with a degree in law from Columbia University, New York.
