The road to WrestleMania has officially started thanks to WWE kicking off with their annual Royal Rumble premium live event. The first show of the year saw several shocking returns such as Naomi and Andrade, along with some surprises such as Jade Cargill eliminating Nia Jax and Cody Rhodes becoming the first man to win the Rumble two years in a row. The overall show was a solid premium event that determined the main event for WrestleMania 40. The general consensus about the 2024 Royal Rumble was that the show just wasn’t on the level of some of the best

WrestleMania 40 went down this past weekend, on April 6th and 7th, 2024, and it was a big deal for women’s wrestling. There were plenty of matches showcasing the incredible talent of female wrestlers. It was awesome to see these talented women get their time to shine on such a grand stage.
Night 1 of WrestleMania 40 was intense! Becky Lynch took on Rhea Ripley for the Women’s World Championship, and Mami came out on top, keeping her title.

Plus, there was a thrilling six-pack tag team ladder match for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship, featuring some fierce women wrestlers showing off their skills.

WrestleMania 40’s night one in Philadelphia was a spectacle of high-octane wrestling that lived up to the grandeur expected of such a storied event. The evening was headlined by a tag team match featuring Roman Reigns and The Rock against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins, which delivered an electrifying performance, setting a dramatic tone for the rest Wrestlemania weekend! The stakes were incredibly high, with the outcome influencing the main event of night two, adding a layer of strategic depth to the match. Roman Reigns and The Rock took the win and if Cody Rhodes is going to “finish the story” he will be playing now by the Bloodline’s rules for night two!

The Bloodline’s presence was felt throughout the night, particularly in the emotionally charged match between estranged twin brothers Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso, which showcased a personal family drama unfolding in the ring.

WrestleMania 40 is nearly here, and the milestone event is looking to live up to its “Xl” billing. Across two nights, WWE’s biggest stars will compete for glory, championships, and, perhaps, the honor of participating in one of the greatest matches in WrestleMania history. If the quality of recent WrestleMania shows is any indication, it should be a lot of fun.
Of course, none of that actually matters much if you don’t know how and when to watch WrestleMania 40 in the first place. So, here’s (hopefully) everything you need to know about the upcoming show.
WrestleMania 40: Start Time and Dates
As has been the case with recent WrestleMania shows, WrestleMania 40 will be a two-night event.

Naomi Campbell is known for many things - her modeling, acting, and activism, to name a few - but as of June 2023, she's also a mama of two. Naomi surprised fans with the news of her first child, a baby girl, in May 2021 alongside a photo of baby's tiny feet, and on the same morning, she added "Mother" to the front of her Instagram bio. And a little over two years later, on June 29, the model revealed she had welcomed her second child, a baby boy.
Speaking to British Vogue in February 2022, 53-year-old Naomi said she "always knew that one day I would be a mother," calling motherhood "the biggest joy I could ever imagine." She added, "I'm lucky to have [my daughter] and I know that. . . . My daughter comes first. Everything I do, I do for her - that's it."

Personally speaking, there hasn’t really been any character in a film or series that Idris Elba couldn’t pull off. Be it a genie, a detective, or a villainous cyborg, Idris’s on-screen presence, in whatever form he takes, is very strong. In Hijack, we find him on a plane that is hijacked. But who is he? How will he be able to subvert the schemes of the hijackers? This is a game of patience and skillful thinking. Hijack Episode 1 is just the beginning of a very long flight.

In Sony’s new comedy No Hard Feelings, Jennifer Lawrence’s 32-year-old character is hired by a couple of helicopter parents to “date” their 19-year-old son, played by Andrew Barth Feldman.
Yes, in both the ad the parents post on Craigslist and in the awkward in-person meeting of Lawrence’s Maddie with the mother and father played by Laura Benanti and Matthew Broderick, date, in quotes, appears to be a euphemism.
“Do you mean date him or date him?” Maddie pointedly asks when she meets the parents.
“Date him hard,” Broderick’s Laird blurts out.
“I’ll date his brains out,” Maddie chimes in.
It’s this initial premise, included in the film’s trailer and based on a real ad from a decade ago unearthed by the film’s producers and shared with writer-director Gene Stupnitsky, that has sparked a social media backlash to what seems like a creepy concept,...

Et Canada host Morgan Hoffman and social media sensation Naomi Leanage recently embarked on a paddleboarding adventure that led to an engaging conversation about self-love, resilience, and body acceptance.
Their journey was more than a thrilling exercise, opening a candid dialogue that unraveled their personal strategies for dealing with societal pressures and learning to appreciate their own unique bodies.
Embracing Authenticity
A key subject of their conversation centered around the realities of life as women in the public eye. Naomi stated, “you start to care less about what other people think and just are living your life for you.” This sentiment resonates, highlighting the empowering shift that occurs when one prioritizes self-perception over external judgment.
As two successful women constantly in the public’s view, they both emphasized the importance of being authentic in their online interactions, stating that it leads to a stronger connection with their followers.

Avril Lavigne surprised country fans at CMA Fest 2023.
The Canadian pop punk princess joined Miranda Lambert onstage during her set and the duo performed not one, but two songs together.
“I’m out here to make more bada*s moments happen right now,” Lambert, 39, told the crowd at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium Friday night. “Will y’all welcome my new bestie, Ms. Avril Lavigne to the stage?”

The duo performed a rendition of Lambert’s country rock single “Kerosene” before rocking out together as they transitioned into Lavigne’s “Sk8er Boi”.
We expected Elle King for Miranda Lambert’s #CMAFest set, even figured Leon Bridges would show up (he did).

It might sound like a backhanded compliment, but Downtown Owl feels more like a pilot than a feature film and may yet yield a series. In today’s market, that could work out just fine for directors Hamish Linklater and Lily Rabe, who, after a choppy start, finesse Chuck Klosterman’s digressive 2007 novel into a thoughtful, broad-canvas ensemble piece. T Bone Burnett helps nail things down with an eclectic alt-country score and soundtrack, infused with the music and spirit of Elvis Costello, but it’s Rabe that holds it all together onscreen with a controlled yet still wildly uninhibited performance.
After a flashforward to a white-out blizzard in January 1984, the action winds back nine months to the summer of 1983, which is when English teacher Julia Rabia (Rabe) swaps urban Milwaukee for the backwater of Owl, North Dakota, to take up a post in a remote school on the recommendation of her father.

Some movies — many movies — are less than the sum of their parts. Downtown Owl, the story of a newbie teacher’s flailing and drinking and heartfelt, awkward encounters in a fictional North Dakota town, has the distinction of being precisely the sum of its parts. That’s not a knock; those ingredients are never less than engaging, driven by a playful and dynamic cinematic sensibility and a strong cast, Lily Rabe holding the center with vibrant luminosity and comic chops to spare. Rabe also steers the movie’s helm, alongside her life partner and fellow actor Hamish Linklater, and the tyro directors manage to thread a tricky needle with their first feature, navigating the chasm and the overlap between agitated and quiet, between cartoon brightness and angst.

For all involved, prolific author and cultural critic Chuck Klosterman’s 2008 book “Downtown Owl” sets the stage for a number of firsts. For starters, it’s Klosterman’s earliest fiction novel and is the source at the heart of Lily Rabe (“The Tender Bar”) and Hamish Linklater’s (“Midnight Mass”) joint directorial debut which just premiered at the Tribeca Festival.
If only the freshness associated with all these firsts was felt in the film by Rabe and Linklater, who are both creative collaborators and real-life partners. Instead, something feels stale, strange and out-of-focus right at the start of “Downtown Owl,” a cold and aimless 91-minute feature that makes its compact runtime feel anything but, while broadly navigating its small town rural tale with little insight and even less purpose.
The set-up of the script is promising enough, introducing us to the fictional town of Owl, North Dakota (Klosterman’s home...

Elina Svitolina 's run at Roland Garros is over at the hands of Aryna Sabalenka who proved better in two sets on Tuesday.
The Ukranian was playing the best tennis she played since returning to the Wta Tour from pregnancy this year in the past 2-3 weeks. It started with her winning the trophy in Strasbourg but ended at the hands of Sabalenka who anticipated a handshake which left Svitolina quite confused.
Ultimately there wasn't any handshake as the principle of Ukrainian players is not to shake hands with Russian and Belarussian players which Svitolina explained earlier in the event . Sticking by her principles is something she's very keen on and she doesn't mind talking about the hard topics either. She didn't dodge any question and that remains even after the loss.
Yeah, just I faced difficulties, I faced difficulty also with the question about Novak, about his statement about Kosovo.

Jessica Pegula has defended Aryna Sabalenka's ongoing decision to skip press conferences during the 2023 Roland Garros.
Following successful first-round and second-round victories at Roland Garros, Sabalenka was put under pressure by journalists in both post-match press conferences. First, the Belarusian faced confrontation after Marta Kostyuk refused to shake hands in the first round match before tensions continued after Sabalenka defeated Iryna Shymanovich in the second round.
As a result, Sabalenka has since turned down both press conferences after her third and fourth-round victories and said she does not feel safe in the press environment currently. In her BBC column to cover the French Open, fellow Wta player Pegula has praised Sabalenka for finding alternatives to handling the press and the US world number three also said the 25-year-old is correct to withdraw from the conferences if she needs to.

Pierson Fodé, 31, might be cast as Superman in the upcoming film, Superman: Legacy.
Although an official Superman hasn’t been named, it seems that writer-director James Gunn has taken a liking to Fodé’s audition tape.
The 31-year-old’s tape featured his family farm in Moses Lake, Washington. As evidenced by his farm montage, Fodé is apparently a farm boy at heart, similar to the comic-book superhero’s background.
The Emmy nominee made his acting debut in 2012 when he played Todd in Nickelodeon’s iCarly. He has also appeared in Naomi and Ely’s No Kiss List and is also known as Brooks in Disney Channel’s Jessie and Ely. Most recently, he shared the screen with Woody Harrelson and Kevin Hart in The Man from Toronto.

And so the Judds farewell tour that had been scheduled for last fall did proceed, against all probabilities, with a bevy of top stars trading places as Naomi’s stand-in each night. The emotional end of that road was captured for not just one but two new specials premiering on different Paramount platforms — “Wynonna Judd: Between Hell and Hallelujah,” a feature-length documentary that debuted Wednesday on Paramount+, and “The Judds: Love Is Alive — The Final Concert,” a two-hour performance special bowing tonight on CMT at 8 p.m. Et/Pt.

This article contains spoilers for "Succession" season 4.
This week's "Succession" follows what's left of the Roy family as they head to Norway, of all places. In order to make sure the deal with Matsson (Alexander Skarsgård) goes through, the Waystar Royco team have to spend the night with Matsson's people, and try their best to pretend as if they don't hate his guts. There's just one complication: Kendall doesn't actually want the deal to go through, and when Matsson tries to buy out Atn as well, Roman gets on board to tank it too.
"Kill List" is an episode filled to the brim with uncomfortable moments, but things end in a stable, promising place. Even though Roman and Kendall are disappointed that the deal still goes through, at least they haven't burned bridges with Shiv or anyone on the old guard. While the episode feels high-stakes, the final moments remind...

“Beef” unfolds as a series of poor choices after “plantrepreneur” Amy (Ali Wong) and handyman Danny (Steven Yeun) get into a road rage incident. Initially grounded in acute reality, the Netflix series gradually spins off into a wild finale that was initially way too much for even A24. The show’s progression allowed costume designer Helen Huang to do richer, more nuanced work than the contemporary setting might suggest. The protagonists’ senses of style offer up a vivid picture of the people they want to be — but hint at the emotions they try (and fail) to keep below the surface.
“Amy and Danny need to seem like they’re from really separate worlds. A big part of the script is how, when they come together, there’s these misperceptions of each other. So I wanted Amy’s and Danny’s wardrobe to feel extremely specific,” Huang told IndieWire. “It’s...

[This story contains spoilers through the ninth and tenth episodes of Beef season one, “The Great Fabricator” and “Figures of Light.”]
In retrospect, it was perhaps only a matter of time that Danny (Steven Yeun) and Amy (Ali Wong)’s escalating feud would lead to life-and-death stakes. The final two episodes of Netflix’s Beef open with Isaac (David Choe) freshly sprung from prison — thanks to a tip from Amy that Danny was actually the one involved in the road-rage incident — and pissed. He makes a beeline for Danny’s place, accompanied by henchmen Michael (Andrew Santino) and Bobby (Rekstizzy), looking for both money and revenge. What he finds is an opportunity: Danny has accidentally kidnapped Amy’s cheerfully curious daughter, June (Remy Holt), so Isaac decides to call Amy in exchange for a $500,000 ransom. Unable to come up with that much cash by Isaac’s deadline, Amy offers a counter-proposal: She’s at Jordan (Maria Bello)’s estate, full of...

Beef is a series created by Lee Sung Jin starring Steven Yeun and Ali Wong.
After sweeping the Oscars with Everything Everywhere All at Once, the production company A24 leaves us with the same sweet taste of quality comedy that, above all, has a great plot: thanks to the creativity of the writing and an interesting starting point.
Plot, characters, and a story that knows how to read itself through the comedy and character drama.
About the series
A24 seems to have found the key to “commercial creativity”, that balance between making a good movie and, somehow miraculously, not being a fiasco at the box office. And it definitely seems like that key continues to open many doors, and all of them showing a world that, behind the appearance of the ordinary, hides the extraordinary.
More or less the same thing happens with Beef: a whole world of characters...

Wynonna Judd told Et on Sunday that her return to the CMT Music Awards is “bittersweet,” adding that she would use this weekend’s award ceremony as an opportunity to help others struggling with their mental health.

Sebastian Lletget is apologizing to Becky G following recent allegations of cheating. On March 27, the 30-year-old Fc Dallas soccer player released a public apology on Instagram in regard to "a moment I regret deeply."
"A 10 minute lapse in judgment resulted in an extortion plot. Since this person did not get what they wanted it has now become a public social media spectacle filled with more lies than any truth and false posts aimed at the love of my life, the one person who I should never take for granted or put at risk," he wrote on Instagram.
According to Lletget, he's never met the "anonymous internet stalker" behind the viral since-deleted video of his alleged cheating, but he says the incident has served as a "wake-up call" for him. "I can't keep running from demons," he continued. "I know that any actions made that put us here should have never happened to begin with.
