Japanese user film review website Filmarks is bringing some of the most acclaimed anime features from Makoto Shinkai back to theaters for a limited time, starting with his acclaimed feature 5 Centimeters per Second on March 29. The screenings are dubbed the “Cherry Blossom Front Screenings,” referring to the cherry blossoms being in season during the screening period. This will be the first release in a series of revival screenings of the director’s work that’ll be shown in theaters across Japan over the following two months, though details on which films will be shown and timings have yet to be confirmed. Special theatrical gifts will be given out to those who watch the screenings with details to be confirmed.
