Meghan Markle has not always been on the best terms with the royal family. While the Duchess of Sussex had a close relationship with certain royals, like Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Eugenie, her connection never blossomed with many of the family members. According to Meghan and Prince Harry, she wasn’t protected from the press, and her mental health wasn’t taken seriously.
Now that Meghan has been living in the United States and has her own projects — including her podcast series, Archetypes — she likely feels a lot freer. And one ending remark on an Archetypes podcast episode has an expert thinking it was a dig at the royal family.

A new royal book claims Queen Elizabeth wasn’t thrilled with Meghan Markle‘s wedding dress. It wasn’t the demure style of the gown the royal family‘s leader was against, but the color, calling white “flamboyantly virginal” for a divorcee.
Queen Elizabeth questioned Meghan Markle’s wedding dress color
Meghan Markle opted for a white wedding dress when she tied the knot with royal Prince Harry on May 19, 2018, at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor. She wore a Waight Keller-designed dress, a British designer who was the creative head of Pringle of Scotland and Chloé before joining Givenchy.
However, in a new book by Ingrid Seward titled My Mother and I, Queen Elizabeth wasn’t thrilled about Meghan wearing white. Elizabeth’s traditional view led her to believe it wasn’t a proper color for someone who was divorced.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have seen friends come and go through the years. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex met back in 2016, and they wed in 2018. Less than two years later, Harry and Meghan stepped down from their royal roles in favor of a more independent life in Montecito, California.
They have gained and lost friends throughout their transition, but one of Meghan’s former friends recently claimed that the duchess was a backstabber who made “a career out of complaining” alongside her husband.

Meghan first met Lizzie Cundy while she was over in the United Kingdom, and the two women hit it off. “We just got on and immediately swapped numbers,” Cundy said in a Grazia Magazine essay about her friendship with Meghan.

The 1981 royal wedding of Princess Diana and Prince Charles was one of the most lavish the world had ever seen. It was over the top in so many respects, including the couple’s wedding cake. However, in contrast, the couple’s son, Prince Harry, and his wife Meghan Markle’s wedding was less spectacle and more low-key. Their wedding cake also reflected their personalities. How did these two weddings compare in the cake department? Here are the details.
Princess Diana and Prince Charles’ cake was over the top, while Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s was modest
Princess Diana and Prince Charles’ 1981 wedding was over the top in every aspect. From the bride’s dress and veil to the number of guests at their wedding, there were few understated moments at the wedding of the century.
However, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tried to make their royal wedding as intimate as possible.

Royal family wedding cakes are a subject of much interest by followers of the family. The confections, typically during a formal afternoon reception following a wedding, can be grandiose or toned-down. However, one thing they share is their royal tradition. But Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s broke some of those longstanding expectations. How was their cake different than Kate Middleton and Prince William‘s?
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s cake broke from royal tradition, while Kate Middleton and Prince William’s did not
Typically, royal wedding cakes are fruitcakes. This tradition goes back hundreds of years, as the ingredients contained rum or brandy, perfect when no refrigerators existed.
The royal family soon adopted These types of cakes, and almost every couple who tied the knot had one at their wedding. For Kate Middleton and Prince William’s 2011 nuptials, they served a fruitcake soaked in brandy and covered in royal icing.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been married since 2018. The two wed in a stunning ceremony just six months after getting engaged, and since then, they have welcomed two children: Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Harry and Meghan moved to California back in 2020, and alleged sources have been spreading constant rumors about the couple in recent months — including about their marriage. But one royal expert says the couple’s relationship remains strong and that they don’t care at all what people say about them.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle didn’t have the easiest time when they started dating. Harry was arguably one of the world’s most eligible bachelors, so when Meghan came around, the press immediately dug into her life and followed the couple everywhere.
It made life difficult for the two, and the paparazzi wanted to be everywhere Harry and Meghan were. As a result, they had to take all kinds of precautions — even when it came to what Meghan wore. And when Harry gave Meghan a sweet gift at the beginning of their relationship, she was told she couldn’t wear it.

Prince Harry wrote in his autobiography Spare that his former home, Nottingham Cottage, was not as grand as the Buckingham Palace apartment his brother Prince William shared with his wife, Kate Middleton, and their children. He claimed he was “embarrassed” by the 17th-century “palace adjacent” residence he lived in since 2013. However, did he have to live there? A royal commentator weighs in.

Members of the royal family try to put on a happy face when they’re out greeting members of the public or participating in royal events. But because cameras are always on them and they are human, we sometimes see moments of unexpected emotions.
Well that’s exactly what a body language expert has noticed in several photos of Queen Camilla (formerly known as Camilla Parker Bowles) when she’s around the Princess of Wales (formerly known as Kate Middleton) or other royals during large events and gatherings. Here’s more on what the queen’s demeanor and gestures show when she’s not smiling.

When Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, announced their decision to step back from royal duties in 2020, they initially wanted a half-in-half-out deal. However, Queen Elizabeth II would only give them the option of all-in or nothing. The couple chose the latter and were able to retain their Duke and Duchess of Sussex titles, but were no longer addressed as His/Her Royal Highness. In 2021, the monarch stripped the Sussexes of their honorary royal patronages and military appointments.
Following the queen’s death, many wondered how King Charles would handle his youngest son who continued airing the family’s dirty laundry in the press. Calls for action from Charles grew louder after Harry went rogue with his tell-all memoir Spare. Two months later, it was revealed Harry and Meghan were being evicted from Frogmore Cottage. If you were in London earlier today you may have noticed something very alerting.
The Transport of London had earlier in the day issued a warning to travellers that Lambert Bridge would be closed due to filming , although unfortunately it seems a few people may have missed the message !
Jackie has been in London for a while now and spotted on various occasions whilst filming ‘The Foreigner‘.
The Foreigner also stars Pierce Brosnan, Charlie Murphy – No, not Eddie Murphy’s brother .
The film is based on the 1992 novel The Chinaman.

The problem with working behind a bar is that you are there to make sure other people have a good night. And here’s the thing about other people: they’re usually awful, especially when alcohol gets involved. Making sure awful people are enjoying themselves is a rough job description.
And apart from the people, there is the mess and the noise and the hideously unsociable hours. Basically, hanging out in a pub every night isn’t the thrill ride you imagined it’d be when you were 17.
Here are some things you’ll only understand once you’ve pulled a few thousand pints.

An average customer walking into a Next store at 9am on a Saturday morning will be presented with a tidy display of clothes and shoes, home ware and giftware, and peruse the shop with the faintly pleasing scent of Next brand perfumes in their nostrils while subconsciously finding themselves content under the aesthetically pleasing decor.
Do you have any idea how far from the truth this is for the people who have to work in these Next stores?
Founded in 1864, last year counted 52,533 employees working in Britain, Europe, Asia and the Middle East to provide great service and fabulous style choices for the all the customers who choose to come and shop there.
That’s almost 53,000 people who will understand the following 17 problems, which only apply to those poor people who have chosen a career in retail and somehow ended up in none other than Next.

Finally, the football world has thrown up some competition to run against the mighty rule of Sepp Blatter.
We have Michael van Praag, Prince Ali of Jordan, and most intriguingly, Luis Figo, battling it out with the current leader over who will steer the football world into a new era.
Figo is as slick now as he was gracing the Nou Camp, Bernabeu and San Siro. He’s got the late 20’s audience interested.
They’re the breed of football fan who grew up watching him and Rivaldo tear La Liga to pieces, before his infamous switch to Real Madrid to partner up with the original Ronaldo, Raul and Zinedine Zidane.
During his 20 year career, Figo made 578 league appearances across four clubs (Sporting, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Inter) and tallied up 93 goals, with an extra 27 goals coming in his 133 Champions League games.
And that’s not even mentioning assists.

Town officially changes name to Staines-upon-Thames, but not all residents are convinced
After suffering years of ridicule since Sacha Baron Cohen decided to make it the home of his creation Ali G, Staines has officially changed its name in an attempt to distance itself from the joke, to the more upmarket Staines-upon-Thames.
The long-debated revamp of the Surrey town prompted a day of celebrations on Sunday – from maypole dancing to a regatta – as the town set out to prove it was more glamorous than its M25 commuter-belt image, association with Ali G or its "ghost town" depiction by indie band Hard-Fi might suggest.
Spelthorne borough council, which pushed through the change after it was first suggested by a business forum, hopes it will bring more business to the town.
Colin Davis, one of its councillors, told the BBC: "Ali G may have had a role, but I think it goes back further than that.

I set out to create a list of the most memorable horror songs, which slowly morphed into a collection of the most memorable end credit horror songs. And now I suppose it’s a list of the ten most memorable 80s end credit horror songs. But I didn’t set out with that as a guideline. It just sort of happened that way. In looking over this list now, I’m left to wonder why nobody puts much effort into the end credits music these days. Since it’s the last impression the viewer has of a film, why not make it memorable?
That’s what these songs have in common.
Some are genuinely cool while others are downright baffling, but I’ve never forgotten them. Even the head scratchers. For your listening pleasure, I’ve included links to all the songs should you need a refresher. And, as always,...

In the tradition of Vampire Hunter and Psycho Kickboxer, Moronic Mark makes fun of another movie that that stars a guy who could easily kick his ass with one finger. This time that person being Reb Brown (heck Shannon Tweed could probably do it too, but Mark might like it too much). Reb Brown's career did start of pretty promising with the 2 Captain America tv movies and some decent theatrical flicks, but then after Howling 2: Your Sister Is A Werewolf things were never the same and you could see Reb in stuff like Firing Line. Here's Mark's take on it and a salute to Reb's other career highlights (and an ending that will hopefully delight fans of Steve Parsons).
