When we heard that Joe Pasquale had been inspired by the great Renaissance artists And Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to make some pizza-inspired paintings, we were all over it.
Pasquale has painted his own takes on da Vinci's Vitruvian Man, Donatello's David, Raphael's Sistine Chapel Cherubim and Michelangelo's Creation of Adam, for display on the walls of outside the National Gallery.
If there's a better way to promote the new season of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on Nicktoons (Saturdays at 9.30am) than having Joe Pasquale use the phrase "Turtle iconography", I can't imagine it.
"The last one is the hand of god - The Creation of Adam. We had the creation of pizza," Pasquale explains patiently.
"It was deep pan, and it was also stuffed crust. I really love stuffed crust, but I can't have it 'cos I'm gluten free.

Hayley Tamaddon is dating Joe Tracini. The 'Coronation Street' star has been seeing the 26-year-old actor - who is the son of comedian Joe Pasquale - since November, after developing a close friendship. A pal of the actress - who plays Andrea Beckett in the ITV show - said: ''It's lovely to see Hayley so happy. Her relationship with Joe has been bubbling for a while and no one has noticed they're together. ''They were friends for a while then things developed into something more. He really makes her laugh.'' The news comes just five months after she split from her partner, comedian Marcus...

Jorgie Porter and Joe Pasquale have been booted off 'Dancing on Ice'. The 'Hollyoaks' stunner was in floods of tears after being told she and her professional partner Sylvain Longchambon - who managed the third highest score of the evening - had to leave the competition following the public vote, while comedian Joe lost out to Bonnie Langford in a skate-off. Host Philip Schofield attempted to comfort an emotional Jorgie by telling her the voting was ''incredibly close'' after revealing the result. He said: ''You look really sad, really disappointed. That was a lot of hard work, wasn't it? This...

I'm kind of on the fence about Happy Endings these days. It's almost become too Happy Endings-ish for me to watch. Still, Penny is a totally unique character, and finding someone to play her father couldn't have been easy, yet Andy Richter seems the perfect choice.
British Labour MP Paul Flynn is preparing an amendment to a bill that would allow the first born child of Prince William and Kate Middleton to assume the throne regardless of gender. The amendment would allow for the eventuality that a future heir could be gay, and allow the heir's partner to become consort, and their children conceived by surrogate to be in line for the throne.
Mike White's new show Enlightened premiered last night, and he's completely happy with making people squirm, both on the screen and in real life. “For me, being not straight was weird, but it was also fun to be different.

FIFA 13 is a technical and football gaming masterpiece which outshone its predecessor quite embarrassingly. However with every masterpiece comes failings, with Angelina Jolie’s curves comes Angelina Jolie’s face, for every The Matrix comes a Matrix Revolutions and for every sublime aspect of FIFA comes commentary done by Clive Tyldesley…just why?
After sampling FIFA in all its many glories, being wondered by the first touch system, hating the first touch system and discovering that £90 million plus Carlos Tevez is a correct price for Lionel Messi; I feel myself educated enough to highlight 5 features in FIFA 13 that they have failed to fix, or just don’t work and could potentially ruin the playing experience.
1. The Commentary
Usually I try to deaden the commentary out, but this addition brings with it such preposterously over the top levels of ridiculous punditry that I actually think I’m watching the match on Sky,...

Joe Pasquale's toenails fell off when he took art in 'Alone in the Wild'. The comedian braved near-constant rain when he took part in the show - which saw him spend a week unaccompanied in Guyana, where he filmed his exploits for the programme - and admits the damp conditions took their toll on his body. He said: "I'd done the London marathon, and it had made my feet go black . After three days [doing 'Alone in the Wild] because it was so wet, my toe nails fell off. "There was chafing everywhere, they gave us these boxes of, like, Athlete's foot...

If you're interested in the concepts of faith and religion, then you may be surprised to find that you could learn a thing or two from Doctor Who. The everyday guys 'n' gals may think of it as a sci-fi adventure roundabout, but one of the great things about the show is that a lot of the time, it's subtly educating the viewers too. Everything you could want to know about the world is actually included in Doctor Who's long tapestry – money, power, capitalism, vivisection, ecology – only a handful of a lengthy list of worthy topics up for grabs.
And one of the big daddies of discussion is religion and faith. Doctor Who has and always will be a show that promotes good over evil – but quite a few stories have looked at the concepts of religious beliefs in greater detail. We've had the subtle Buddhism message of Planet Of The Spiders.

Put ten people in the same room and get them to agree on every viewpoint in the world – it just cannot be done. Let's say they're debating about all-time great pop songs: While the majority of the group will praise a so-called revered classic like 'Hey Jude' by The Beatles or 'Tiny Dancer' by Elton John, there will always be one who can't see the appeal.
In this case, that'd be me then – I think of them both as tedious, overlong, funereal dirges: One sounds like Macca's got his extremities caught in the jaws of a crocodile, the other sounds like it was recorded from the bottom of a wishing well. But inexplicably, it seems that at least 99.9% of the population regard these as musical behemoths.
Same goes for Doctor Who. Name a classic story like City Of Death, The Talons Of Weng-Chiang and The Caves Of Androzani and inevitably,...

2005: Crazy days – well to Doctor Who fans anyway. Considering that in the past decade, we'd had one measly bonafide story, the prospect of a brand new series with excellent ratings and feedback was about as likely as Gordon Ramsay becoming a monk.
Nevertheless, the unthinkable happened, as 2005 not only boasted a swanky new set of episodes, but also Two brand new Doctors and also a Christmas special. Now that put the cat among the pigeons. Normally, the much vaunted BBC Christmas special centrepiece had been awarded to Only Fools And Horses. By 2005 though, the revival of Doctor Who had proved to be such a big success that the BBC bosses were using the good Doctor to bring in the numbers instead of Del and Rodney.
So what better way to launch the new Doctor than by plonking him in a prime time spot on Christmas Day? Actually, viewers had...
