“Batwoman” Season 2 finale Sunday set up a lot of stuff for Season 3 — including a new hero. Luke Fox has fulfilled his comic book destiny of becoming Batwing. And for actor Camrus Johnson, that amazing suit has been a long time coming.
In fact, Batwing has been something to look forward to since he signed onto “Batwoman.” It was one of the first things he asked showrunner Caroline Dries about, and she was just as eager as he was. Originally, audiences were supposed to get a small tease of Batwing’s suit in the Season 1 finale, but then Covid happened, cutting the season short by two episodes, and the show found itself switching lead actresses, which changed up the story plans. Still, the goal was always to get Batwing on screen, and Johnson is ecstatic to finally suit up.

The CW and Warner Bros. TV dropped first-look photos of “Batwoman” star Camrus Johnson suited as Batwing.
Johnson has played the character of Luke Fox on the DC series since it began. As Batwing, he will serve as Batwoman’s (Javicia Leslie) crime-fighting counterpart as they work to clean up the mess created in the Season 2 finale. But before he can fully embrace the awesome and powerful nature of his supersuit, he must first overcome his own personal demons.
“I’ve been looking forward to seeing Batwing since we decided to make Luke Fox a fundamental part of our Bat Team way back in the pilot development stages,” said series showrunner Caroline Dries. “I can speak for Cam when I say, ‘So has he!’ But this character couldn’t come out of nowhere. We built this character from a deeply personal and complicated Luke story that we began setting up in season one,...

The CW has dropped the first images of Camrus Johnson suited up as his new character Batwing.
Johnson has portrayed Luke Fox since the pilot. Following his near demise at the hands of Crows Agent, Fox morphs into Batwing in the remaining episodes of Season 2, a journey that leads him to embrace the hero he was destined to become.

While fans of Michael Keaton’s Batman are still processing the news that Warner Bros. is looking to ask him to join the Dceu, we’ve now learned that the Arrowverse’s “Crisis on Infinite Earths” could’ve featured his return earlier this year.
“Crisis” marked the biggest crossover event in the history of television by cramming in as many DC cameos into the plot as possible. Even the story itself essentially had more than five years of buildup, with the producers relentlessly teasing fans ever since the first episode of The Flash premiered back in 2014. But apart from bringing back the likes of Brandon Routh and Tom Welling in their respective roles as Superman, the five-hour special also included a lot of fresh cameos from different Earths, including one where Kevin Conroy played the Kingdom Come Dark Knight. However, it would seem that The CW originally envisioned Michael Keaton for the role.

Remember when Legends of Tomorrow introduced the Justice Society of America? They made a big deal of the Jsa’s arrival, with the cliffhanger at the end of season 1 seeing Suits actor Patrick Adams dropping by as Hourman. Adams didn’t get much to do as the character though as he was swiftly killed off in season 2, and the Jsa as a whole fizzled out after a few episodes. Originally, though, producers had much bigger plans for the team, with their line-up intended to include Green Lantern.
This is something that’s been rumored for a while, but now we’ve finally had it confirmed, as concept artist Andy Poon has shared an awesome piece of artwork he created of how Alan Scott’s Lantern could appear in the Arrowverse. With The Flash now going into its sixth season, I’m sure some viewers may be wondering if the Scarlet Speedster will don a new costume once the saga resumes this fall. In most cases, he’s made an aesthetic change at the beginning of each broadcast year, so why stop now?
Personally, I count myself among those who fondly recall season 1’s threads. Yes, I know the red circle adorning Barry Allen’s chest was a deviation from the classic look, but I just found it to be visually appealing. Actually, that suit carried over into seasons 2 and 3, though the emblem was changed to the more familiar white.
I imagine that it was around the halfway point in season 3 when the creative minds behind the series begun contemplating a different look for the titular hero. And while the all-new duds weren’t hyped until season 4, they technically debuted when...

When it comes to superhero costumes, I think it’s safe to say that fans are just as passionate about the way those look as they are the actors who are cast as the characters themselves. Hey, you have to admit that putting nipples on a Batman suit can incite just as much outrage as, say, hiring a guy who once starred in some Twilight movies.
Since 1943, Hollywood has put a variety of spins on the Caped Crusader’s attire. Whether it be Lewis Wilson’s floppy ears in those original serials, Michael Keaton introducing us to fully black body armor, Ben Affleck’s desert attire, or “pure 100% Grade-a West,” we all have our preferences. Personally, my favorite costume was the standard one worn by Affleck in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, though those found in Batman Returns and Batman Begins aren’t far behind.

One thing I’ve noticed in the time I’ve been a writer is how the mere mention of Batman Beyond sends readers into a frenzy. Actually, that doesn’t surprise me much, because in the time since the beloved animated series that chronicled the adventures of a future Dark Knight left airwaves, the only things that continued its legacy outside of the comic book medium were that of an epilogue episode of Justice League Unlimited and a DC Nation short years later.
Still, hope remains that the folks over at Warner Bros. Animation will go ahead with a direct-to-video movie at some point, or, Zod forbid, something in the live action realm. Of course, the latter seems far less likely, but many of you will agree with me in saying that a flesh-and-blood Terry McGinnis is long overdue.

At the risk of completely throwing my sense of professionalism out the window by filling this article with expletives, I’ll just keep calm and say that this year’s Arrowverse crossover, Crisis on Earth-x, satisfied in every way imaginable. In short, it was everything a DC TV mashup should be, and completely trounced last year’s effort. And after bearing witness to some major reveals and a great tragedy, it’s probably safe to say that we won’t forget this event anytime soon.
Aside from those game-changers we just mentioned, one of the highlights of the crossover – at least in this writer’s view – was admiring the fantastic new costumes that were on display. In the past, the costuming department over in Vancouver had done fine jobs with various other DC heroes and villains, and this time was no different. Not only did they get to break ground...

If you’ve been following the Arrowverse to this point, you’ve probably noticed a pattern of sorts when it comes to the evolution of costumes worn by title characters. In other words, despite being given minor alterations in their first three seasons, both Oliver Queen and Barry Allen received considerable upgrades when the respective fourth seasons of Arrow and The Flash rolled around. Having said that, it wouldn’t surprise us in the slightest if Supergirl were to don some new threads next fall.
What’s actually quite interesting about the Scarlet Speedster, though, is that those stylish duds he’s been showing off around Central City as of late were originally seen back in season 3 when Barry ventured to 2024 in “The Once and Future Flash.” If you’re in need of a refresher, that’s when he met up with his future self in an attempt to learn the true identity of Savitar.

The CW has released an extended trailer for The Flash Season 4 which offers some cool and exciting new footage for fans of the series to enjoy.
The first episode of Season 4 is called "The Flash Reborn" and it's set six months after the end of Season 3 in which Barry Allen disappeared. He's been stranded in the Speed Force during that time. In the trailer, we see Barry Allen's friends struggle with the choice to bring him back, which as you'll see, they eventually decide to do. Obviously, things are a little off.
Series star Grant Gustin, had this to say about his character in an interview with Cb:
"He’s going to have kind of an awakening when he comes out. He’s going to have some knowledge that he probably doesn’t even quite understand yet. He’ll also be little scrambled; He won’t really be himself the first time we see him.

Think back to when you were in high school. Do you remember that whenever you would return from spring break or summer vacation there were always a fair amount of people rocking new hairstyles and whatnot? Or, if you’re a pro wrestler who wants their comeback to be more impactful after sitting on the sidelines for six months or more, you might upgrade your threads. Likewise, The Flash will seemingly employ that very same logic upon his liberation from the Speed Force.
Actually, we have seen Barry Allen’s new costume before, but with a bit of a twist. You see, when he traveled to 2024 last season in “The Once and Future Flash,” he met his future self who happened to be wearing the very same suit we’re discussing today.
And while we’ll no doubt see this getup in various trailers, it’s not quite the same...

If there’s one thing I’ve learned in the past few years, it’s that somebody over at The CW really, really loves the character of Felicity Smoak. Yes, she does have a very vocal fan base (to put it mildly) that allowed her romance with Oliver Queen to derail any character development and/or screentime that would’ve otherwise been afforded to Laurel Lance’s rise as the Black Canary on Arrow, but she’s also been the subject of a featurette on The Flash season 1’s Blu-ray set for some reason.
Well, get ready for somebody’s favorite computer hacker to branch out further into the Arrowverse because it looks like she’ll be appearing in this season’s penultimate episode of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow as – wait for it – the Huntress. Or a very Huntress-like character, at the very least.

In anticipation of tomorrow's season 3 premiere of The Flash, we have some new concept art from Andy Poon and Maya Mani. As you can see, the designs for Kid Flash and Black Siren aren't a million miles away from the final character costumes, but The Rival looks quite a bit different. Many fans were left unimpressed by this new character's somewhat bizarre appearance, and would probably have preferred something more like this - but then it's easy to see why they went a different route, as he does look a little too much like season 2 baddie, Zoom. When The CW Television Network aired The Flash-Arrow crossover event you might have noticed that Oliver Queen's superhero costume had a few upgrades. Conceptual artist Andy Poon (via Film Sketchr) updated his website with concept art of those upgrades. "The strap for the quiver is more like a bandolier now that holds special trick arrow tips," Andy explained. "There are flechette holders added to his left arm, lower back and his thighs. 2 seams were added at the lower front of jacket which makes it feel abit more like the lines of the abs which we all know Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) has, but also for the new jacket belt to loop through that holds 2 side pouches." Some of you may be looking at Andy Poon's concept art of Ra’s al Ghul (Matt Nable) and thinking to yourself, is that Oded Fehr ("The Mummy") or Liam Neeson ("Batman Begins")? If you had either of those thoughts you'd be correct on both accounts. Poon, or as I like to call him Poontang, illustrated his Ra's al Ghul costume designs before the role was cast. For fun, he decided to incorporate the likeness of each actor based on the rumors linking Fehr and Neeson to the part. It does Not in anyway mean they were actually considered. Still neat to look at though. Then there is John Gallagher's awesome Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) costume design, which was not chosen. Boo! Fans of the video game Fallout 3 thought the A.T.O.M. outfit from yesterday's Arrow promo looked very familiar, and they were right. The international TV ad for Wednesday's mid-season finale clearly showed Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) and Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh) gesturing towards whatever was going to help the latter "protect the people" of Star City, but what was then shown on screen was not the superhero costume Palmer will eventually don. The guys at Quiver Podcast reached out to Arrow concept illustrator Andy Poon, who confirmed the image was faked, and that the real suit “looks nothing like that.” He wouldn't say whether we'd get a look at the actual A.T.O.M. costume tomorrow night when “The Climb” airs on The CW at 8/7c, but I'd say it's a good bet given what we saw from the promo. Concept Art by Andy Poon Billionaire archery enthusiast Oliver Queen returns for another season of hard-hitting action in Starling City.
