He is credited with leading membership through the AEA through the
difficult period after September 11, 2001 and spearheading the theatre
communities efforts to rebuild the city.
Founding member of Equity Fights AIDS group and had served as second VP
since 1993 for Broadway cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
Was President of the 45,000 member Actors Equity Association from 2000
until October 2005, when he stepped down to become Executive Director.
He'd been involved with the organization for 30-years.
