- In 1997, he took on the part of the adult Simba, a role he played on Broadway for almost three years.
- A memorial service for Raize was held on April 8, 2004, at the New Amsterdam Theatre where he had starred as Simba in "The Lion King" seven years earlier.
- He also worked as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Environment Program before his death.
- He studied drama at the American Musical & Dramatic Academy in New York City and the Perry-Mansfield School for Performance Art in Colorado.
- Recorded an album entitled "NYC" for Universal Records but it was never released. Two singles from the album, "Taste the Tears" and "You Win Again" were released however. The remaining tracks were "For a Lifetime", "I Can Make it Without You", "I'd Be Lying", "It Was You", "Lovin' You, Lovin' Me", "Nothing Means a Thing", "Runaway Girl", "Take Back My Heart".
