Earlier this month, an image cinematographer Christian Sebaldt shared on Instagram indicated that Final Destination 6 (which is going by the title Final Destination: Bloodlines) was finally, after years of development and a thirteen year gap between sequels, heading into production. The next day, producer Craig Perry took to social media to confirm that Final Destination: Bloodlines is indeed filming, the aim being to get this one into theatres in 2025 – in time to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the release of the original film. It will even be on IMAX screens! Now The Hollywood Reporter has revealed the names of several cast members. They are Brec Bassinger (Stargirl), Teo Briones (Chucky), Kaitlyn Santa Juana (The Friendship Game), Richard Harmon (The 100), Anna Lore (Gotham Knights), Owen Patrick Joyner (Julie and the Phantoms), Max Lloyd-Jones (The Book of Boba Fett), Rya Kihlstedt (Obi-Wan Kenobi), and Tinpo Lee (The Manor).

The Final Destination franchise is returning to life with a brand new movie, and we’ve learned that filming is underway this week. Additionally, we now have an official title!
The sixth installment in the saga is titled Final Destination: Bloodlines.
Producer Craig Perry writes on social media this week, “After a long, hard slog through the pandemic and the strikes, Day One is finally in the can. 2025 will mark the 25th anniversary of the release of the first installment in the franchise. To honor the occasion with another worldwide theatrical release is a rare and wonderful thing.”
Perry’s post continues, “See you next year! Ps: I know, I know — Pet Sematary: Bloodlines. But this is the title we’ve had for three years, and we’re keeping it… for now.”
Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein (Freaks) are directing the fresh installment.

Ghost hunters will find more than they bargained for on Halloween in upcoming genre-bender The Unearthly. Per Deadline, the indie sci-fi horror comedy has found its lead in star and producer Patrick Warburton.
Josh Sternfeld (Fortress: Sniper’s Eye) is set to direct The Unearthly for Centerboro Productions, with production scheduled to begin early this year in Connecticut.
In The Unearthly, “a team of paranormal investigators live-stream a ‘Halloween Special’ ghost hunt of a notorious haunted mansion, finding the source of the evil at hand to be far more deadly than they ever could have imagined. Warburton plays Tank McCrary, an old school paranormal investigator in the style of Ed Warren and Peter James, who hosted over 20 live television specials in the ’90s before an incident ruined his career. Stubborn and egotistical, he likes to do things his way. He doesn’t trust technology, relying on his analog tape recorder,...

On January 1st, the earliest versions of Mickey Mouse – seen in the animated shorts Plane Crazy, The Gallopin’ Gaucho, and most famously Steamboat Willie – became public domain… which, of course, means we’re now going to get multiple horror movies that feature characters inspired by Mickey Mouse. The short film The Vanishing of S.S. Willie has already been released, the slasher movie Mickey’s Mouse Trap is far enough into production that a trailer has been cut together, and now Variety breaks the news that Steamboat Willie serves as the inspiration for another, currently untitled horror movie (Final Destination writer Jeffrey Reddick has suggested it should be called Screamboat Willie) that’s coming our way from Terrifier 2 producers Steven Della Salla and Michael Leavy and director Steven Lamorte, who previously made the Grinch-inspired horror movie The Mean One.

A year ago, we heard that Jeffrey Reddick, whose horror credits include Final Destination, Final Destination 2, Tamara, Day of the Dead 2008, Dead Awake, and Don’t Look Back, was teaming up with fellow genre regulars Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp) and Dave Sheridan (Victor Crowley) to produce the slasher New Fears Eve. That project is now making its way through post-production – and as we head into the holiday weekend, a poster for New Fears Eve has arrived online! You can check it out at the bottom of this article.

Jon Watts, director of Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far from Home, and Spider-Man: No Way Home, is producing the sixth film in the Final Destination franchise with Dianne McGunigle, Sheila Hanahan Taylor, and Craig Perry – and entertainment industry scooper Daniel Richtman just revealed the plot synopsis for the new film, along with some character descriptions and the title, which isn’t going to be Final Destination 6. This one is going by the title Final Destination: Bloodlines, which is kind of bummer because Bloodlines is a very over-used subtitle in the horror world. To name just a few, we’ve previously gotten Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines, Tremors 5: Bloodlines, and Pet Sematary: Bloodlines.
But there is good reason for the Bloodlines subtitle, because family bloodlines are important to the story. Jeffrey Reddick – who wrote the initial screenplay for the original Final Destination and contributed to Final Destination 2 – has previously said that...

Sources tell Bloody Disgusting that Tony Todd has signed on to reprise his role as William Bludworth in the upcoming sixth installment in the Final Destination franchise.
The horror icon played the enigmatic mortician in Final Destination, Final Destination 2, and Final Destination 5.
The plot reportedly centers on first responders. We’re told that the film digs into Bludworth’s backstory, including a flashback to his childhood that reveals more about his connection to death.
This may be what franchise creator Jeffrey Reddick was referring to in his recent comments that Final Destination 6 “unearths a whole deep layer to the story.”
Production is set to take place in Vancouver after the SAG-AFTRA strike is resolved. Zach Lipovsky & Adam B. Stein (Freaks) will direct from a script by Guy Busick and Lori Evans Taylor (Bed Rest). Filmmaker Jon Watts (Spider-Man: No Way Home) produces.

For Ukranian-American actress Natalie Burn, growing up as a ballerina and going to ultra-competitive schools in Moscow and London was surprisingly effective training for surviving Hollywood.
“The competition is so brutal and you’re constantly getting rejected,” Burn says. “You have to have a very thick skin to not pay attention and just brush it off and go, ‘It’s okay.’ In the end, you’re doing it for you. Thirteen months ago, Jeffrey Reddick – who wrote the initial screenplay for the original Final Destination and contributed to Final Destination 2 – said that the upcoming sequel Final Destination 6 would shake up the formula of the franchise. Now Reddick has been asked by Collider to clarify what he meant by that… and while he had to tiptoe around spoilers while giving his answer, he did say that the film will be an interesting expansion of the Final Destination universe.
Reddick told Collider that “you can’t get away from the cheating death and death coming after you part of it because that’s what makes it a Final Destination film” but this one “doesn’t just kind of add another layer. Usually there’s a new layer every film where it’s like, ‘Oh, well, this can save you or this can save you.’ This film dives into it in such a unique way,...

The Final Destination franchise is returning to life with a brand new movie, with Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein (Freaks) seated in the director’s chairs this time around.
What can we expect from the upcoming Final Destination 6? Speaking with Collider, franchise creator Jeffrey Reddick has offered up an intriguing (and mysterious) tease.
Building upon comments he made to Dread Central last year, Reddick suggests – without saying too much – that Final Destination 6 will add a whole new layer to the franchise.
“This film dives into the film in such a unique way that it attacks it from a different angle so you don’t feel like, ‘Oh, there’s an amazing setup and then there’s gonna be one wrinkle that can potentially save you all that you have to kind of make a moral choice about or do to solve it.’ There’s an expansion of...

As Til Death Do Us Part opens The Best Man sits in a pew working on his speech as upbeat music plays in the background. That’s followed by similar glimpses of other wedding party members prepping for the ceremony. A flashback to The Bride and Groom, nobody in this film has a name, on vacation serves to reinforce the happy image.
But Til Death Do Us Part isn’t a Hallmark Channel rom-com or Lifetime Channel thriller. Because when The Bride gets cold feet and bails on the wedding, we find out everyone involved in the ceremony is a highly skilled assassin. Now the stood-up Groom wants more than just his ring back, and their employer doesn’t take resignations well.

The X-Files is an iconic TV drama that aired from 1993 to 2018 and spawned two feature films and a miniseries. Horror and sci-fi fans loved the show’s themes and storylines. Each weekly episode brought new paranormal experiences that stretched viewers’ understanding of science. The X-Files also inspired a horror franchise spanning 11 years and five movies.

High school is hell for people like Jenna Dewan’s put-upon character in the 2006 horror movie Tamara. The pathetic namesake doesn’t have any friends to call her own, and she spends most of her time daydreaming about her hunky teacher when she’s not playing with the dark arts. Now, Tamara thinks her life is finally starting to improve when her crush comes a-calling, but as things tend to go in these kinds of movies, the sudden attention isn’t real. No, someone is out to humiliate her. And like other wronged women in the horror genre, Tamara won’t rest until she gets her revenge.
Before Tamara Riley takes the stage as a violent vixen from beyond the grave, Dewan plays a smart yet frequently bullied girl at Hafton High School. The performance is convincing, quickly endearing her to viewers. Director Jeremy Haft’s movie then goes down...
