The audience award also went to a French series, Germinal. Croatian show The Last Socialist Artefact took best series in the International Panorama strand.
The event unveiled its audience numbers for this year, with more than 54,000 participants across its physical and digital platforms for the festival, and 2,500 across its physical and digital incarnations of the Forum program.

Icelandic show Blackport has won the international competition grand prize at 2021 Series Mania as the first physical edition of the French TV festival and industry event in more than two years wrapped on Thursday (September 2).

Period tragicomedy “Blackport,” backed by Icelandic public broadcaster Ruv and European network Arte, won top honors on Thursday at leading European TV festival Series Mania taking its Grand Prize.
