I'm a huge fan of Tim Burton's 1989 film Batman. I remember seeing it at the Chinese Theater in Hollywood the day it was released in theaters, and it was such a cool movie going experience for me. This is one of those films I still haven't gotten tired of watching.
We've got some really cool concept art for the movie to share with you today that comes from Conceptual artist, David Russell, who recently worked on The Wolverine. Some of the art includes alternate designs for the Batmobile and Batwing. ...

I think it is safe to say that no character has undergone as many redesigns as Batman has during his history, which now spans nearly three quarters of a century. Almost every generation of comics fans have their version of Batman. This includes, naturally, evolution not only in his iconic costume, but also in his various gadgets, cars, planes, and supporting characters. While there is certainly something to be said for the idea that something so instantly recognizable should not be messed with, one of the most fun things about being a geek is nerding out over new concept designs for upcoming Batman movies, rejoicing when someone gets it right and complaining really loudly when they get it wrong.
Here, therefore, are some of those designs that did not make the grade.

Over the last few days we’ve been running an interview with producer Todd Lieberman, who- alongside producing partner David Hoberman – has been responsible for producing films as diverse as The Fighter, The Proposal, Surrogates and The Muppets.
Earlier this week we ran the first two parts: where Lieberman spoke about his career as a producer, and discussed the quirks of working with Muppets. In the final part of the interview, Lieberman turns the tables on me – quizzing me on movies I’ve liked over the last twelve months, which then led to us geeking off about Django Unchained and Silver Linings Playbook, then moving on to his taste in movies, and which films he would have liked to have been involved with.
Todd Lieberman: So what movies have you seen that you like this year?
HeyUGuys: I was about to ask you the same thing. I saw Django Unchained the other day.

It was 1982 and storyboard artist David Russell was tired of working in children.s animation. He expressed his ennui to close friend (and legendary science fiction author) Jack Vance and before long, he found himself on a plane to Los Angeles. Vance, who was negotiating the option to one of his novels with George Lucas, had scored Russell a job interview with Lucasfilm. One thing led to another and before long, Russell had a job as a storyboard artist on Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.
.Walking into Lucasfilm on that very first day was like walking into the Emerald City of Oz,. recalls Russell. .It was a stunning and wonderfully creative period..
Since then, the storyboard artist and concept illustrator, who is now based in Queensland, has worked on more than 80 films with everyone from Steven Spielberg (on The Color Purple...

Back in February, Namco Bandai confirmed the planned February 7, 2012 release of "Inversion," the gravity-based third-person shooter that Saber Interactive is currently working on. The news arrived alongside a trailer, which showed little more than some cool environments filled with floaty destruction. Another trailer arrives today showing off more destruction... only this time there's also a little gunplay and scene-setting for the game's story to go along with it.
There are two particularly awesome things about this trailer, and they're both quotes. The first is what starts us off, a few words of text on the screen from the philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche: "Come, let us kill the spirit of gravity!" The other is spoken by a character seen in the pre-rendered trailer, presumably our hero, David Russel, immediately afterward: "Gravity is like most things. You never really appreciate it till it's gone."
I wonder what Nietzsche would think if he...

Saber Interactive may or may not be working on an HD remake of "Halo: Combat Evolved," as we learned earlier today. That doesn't mean they've forgotten about their upcoming Namco Bandai-published shooter "Inversion" however. In fact, mere hours after word of the "Halo" remake slipped out, Namco Bandai confirmed that "Inversion" is now set for release on February 7, 2012 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
"Inversion" was first announced back in 2009, with plans for a 2010 release. That obviously never happened, but it's typically better to see a game postponed than rushed out so no problem there. And the third-person action game looks like it will feature some fun gameplay mechanics, elaborate ones involving gravity manipulation, so all the added development will presumably give Saber a chance to get all of the game's systems up to snuff.
The story opens after an alien race known as the Lutadore invade Earth, using their gravity-based weapons to lay waste to everything.

Even before his next film Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey releases, Ashutosh Gowariker has already moved on to his big budget project Buddha. Produced by Dr.Bhupendra Kumar Modi and directed by Gowariker, Buddha tells the journey of Gautam Buddha right from when he was known as Prince Siddhartha to his moment of enlightenment when he became Buddha. While the hunt for the actor who will play the lead role is still on, it's quite interesting to note that the film will primarily have an all-international crew except production designer Nitin Chandrakant Desai who has worked with Gowariker on most of his films. Some of the international crew members are:. David S. Ward (USA) - Screen writer (best known for his Oscar winning screenplay in The Sting and Sleepless in Seattle) Michel Shane (USA) - Executive Producer (who is known for having worked on films like I Robot and Catch Me If You Can...
