To no one’s surprise, in the war against Sony’s corporate antics, Democracy prevails strong and wide. After the pushback against the mandatory account linking policy of Helldivers 2, Sony decided to retread its steps back to where things originally were.
Right now, Sony is right in the eye of a controversy storm—an account-linking one here, a censorship controversy there. Now, seeing its tarnished reputation, some Ps Plus users are looking to take the opportunity to coordinate similar protests against some of the company’s other policies.
Ps Plus Players Are Now Looking to Demand Better Conditions and Prices on PlayStation’s Platform After Helldivers 2, PlayStation users have set their sights on other policy issues.
Seeing how Sony decided to bend the knee against the massive backlash received from the Helldivers 2 community, one user on the gaming forum IconEra has already begun planning their next major order against Sony.

The everlasting console wars have been more extreme than ever in recent times, and due credit can be given to the exclusive release of Arrowhead Studio’s Helldivers 2 on PS5 and PC. While Xbox might have its own fair share of excellent first-party games, it unfortunately fails to come close to the hype Sony has built around their title.
Console wars have gone to extreme lengths after the release of Sony’s title.
This has also prompted the community to urge Sony to release the game on Microsoft’s platform. While the chances of it happening remain slim to none, recent changes in the company’s leadership as well as floating rumors might have finally brought good news for the fans.

The console war has always been heated over the games that are unavailable on either platform. Take the example of Starfield and Helldivers 2. This is a huge edge in the argument for Xbox gamers, as it’s unavailable on Sony console, but it won’t be the case for long.
The same goes for Helldivers 2 but the tables might turn soon. The popular live service title has garnered a huge fanbase, but as a Psn first-party title, Xbox gamers have been exempted from the game. However, according to a recent report, the co-op shooter might come to Microsoft’s console.
Helldivers 2 May Be Coming to Xbox
Helldivers 2 right now is only available on PC and PS5.
In the latest episode of the XboxEra podcast, co-host Nick “Shpeshal Nick” Baker has claimed that there were “preliminary” talks about bringing Helldivers 2 to Series X|S consoles. Baker has also stated that talks are in “very early” stages.

Now that Helldivers 2 and Palworld are already becoming this year’s gaming phenomenon, they’ve got a spooky rival just out of the shadows. Landfall Studio’s new game Content Warning certainly has something that may help the players go viral—maybe not in real life, but definitely in the game. Following its release, the game was free to download for the first 24 hours on the video game distribution service Steam.
It features 2-4 players in co-op mode to play alongside friends who’ll be on the lookout for spooky things, similar to those vloggers seeking adventure in abandoned buildings. It’s a horror game, but players won’t have to worry about jump scares because of its looks. Players are already loving it, provided the social media posts hover around the internet.
Content Warning Was Given to Players for Free, They Still Love It Anyway
Content Warning already has 100K players upon release.

Before leaving Sony after nearly 30 years of working for the company, now-former Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan oversaw another round of mass layoffs and conducted a kind of public exit interview as a guest on the Official PlayStation Podcast. While Ryan discussed several fascinating topics during that interview, one of the most notable takeaways from the discussion involves a seemingly simple statement regarding the lifetime sales of the PlayStation 2.
When asked about his memories of the 2000s, Ryan stated that the “high watermark” of that era is “160 million” which he claims is the number of PlayStation 2s that Sony sold during that console’s historic run. That’s an impressive number made all the more impressive by the fact it’s even higher than the PS2’s previously reported lifetime sales figures.

In a sensitive year like 2024, Stellar Blade has sparked controversy, as even before getting to play it, gamers have pointed out that Shift Up objectifies its main character. The portrayal of women in games has been a controversial topic of discussion for quite some time. However, it becomes confusing when an upcoming installment in Xbox’s Fable franchise has been criticized for making its female lead unattractive, and it’s unclear what developers have to do to satisfy every gamer.

Helldivers 2 is Unfortunate Proof Outgoing PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan was Right About 1 Genre of Games
PlayStation is currently the reigning champion in the gaming industry, beating both Nintendo and Xbox by a wide margin. This is a combination of many factors, but a great line-up of exclusives and solid hardware has played a big part in its success.
While not one of the most talked-about games before launch, Helldivers 2 has now become a cultural phenomenon. Many would also consider it a reason to buy a PlayStation! However, the popularity of the game is a double-edged sword. It shows a particular genre of games is here to stay, much to the annoyance of gamers.

The Xbox Legacy feature allows players to enjoy previous titles released for generations of consoles that came before. However, it has been mired with issues when it comes to the achievement system. The Xbox Game Pass, which allows players to enjoy a number of the console’s titles on PC, also forces PC players into the Xbox achievement system.
Fans have felt hard done by this for quite some time as there is a prevalent argument that PC players do not care about their achievements in-game. This argument doesn’t make sense at all as PC players too enjoy a sense of completion and progression which can be easily felt with a working achievement system.

Xbox’s industry-shattering acquisition of Activision Blizzard King in the very beginning of 2022 is a venerable moment in gaming history. The $68.7 billion buyout is not only the biggest in gaming, but one of the largest acquisitions in the entertainment industry, period.

A new Twisted Metal game would be great, in fact, it was already in development. But, to the dismay of fans, now it’s not, courtesy of Sony. San Francisco, June 29 (Ians) Sony believes that nearly half of PlayStation 5 (PS5) users in the US also own a Nintendo Switch console.
Sony does not see the Nintendo Switch as a competitor, reports The Verge.
The reason behind that was revealed by Sony Interactive Entertainment’s CEO Jim Ryan’s poorly redacted letter.
“According to Sie internal surveys, almost half of PlayStation 5 owners in the US also own a Nintendo Switch, while less than 20 per cent of PlayStation 5 owners in the US also own an Xbox Series X or S,” the letter reads.
The company shared the document from Ryan as part of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) versus Microsoft hearing.
The document also included redacted details on the margins Sony shares with publishers, its Call of Duty revenues and the cost of developing some of its games.
“It looks like someone redacted the documents with a black Sharpie — but when you scan them in,...

San Francisco, Sep 8 (Ians) After tech giant Microsoft plans to keep Call of Duty (CoD) on PlayStation for three years beyond the current agreement between Activision Blizzard and Sony, PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan said the offer was “inadequate on many levels”.
According to GamesIndustry.biz, the disagreement between both firms follows Microsoft’s offer to buy CoD publisher Activision Blizzard in a deal worth nearly 69 billion, the report said.
Competition watchdogs are looking into the deal, and the Competition and Markets Authority in the UK is concerned about the possibility of Microsoft “withholding or degrading” Activision Blizzard’s games from competing consoles or subscription services.
Last week, Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer said that “CoD will stay on Sony PlayStation consoles for many years”.
“In January, we provided a signed agreement to Sony to guarantee CoD on PlayStation, with feature and content parity, for at least several more years beyond the current Sony contract,...

New Delhi, Aug 30 (Ians) Sony has reportedly launched a lightweight PlayStation5 model and both the disc and digital versions of PS5 are now a lot lighter as prices have gone up.
Gaming website Press Start noticed the weight difference in Australia.
“The only immediate difference between this model and the 2021 model that we can work out from both product manuals is the weight which has gone down by a similar jump to the 2021 model. This obviously results in different parts/internals,” it said.
The new disc model now weighs 3.9 kgs, a 7 per cent reduction from the 2021 revision (4.2 kgs).
The digital PS5 has a similar weight loss, with the 2022 revision now weighing 3.4 kgs, down 13 per cent from the original weight of 3.9 kgs.
“This now means that the new model Disc PS5 now weights what the Digital PS5 did at launch,” the rpeort mentioned.

The mountains are as gorgeous as ever, the deal climate not so much as boutique investment bank Allen & Co. prepares to host its annual Sun Valley retreat. After guests arrive on Tuesday, official activities get under way Wednesday.
The annual ritual of media-mogul whitewater rafting and shop talk is a 40-year, post-July 4 tradition. It was suspended in 2020 during the worst of Covid but returned last year in a pared-down, masked-and-vaxxed version soon after two major deals were announced — the Warner Media/Discovery merger and Amazon’s planned takeover of MGM. Discovery’s then CEO David Zaslav’s first comment to the Sun Valley press cadre a year ago: “We’re not done yet.”
Now he’s chief executive of the new Warner Bros. Discovery and will likely be more circumspect as the high-debt company tries to deliver on a promised 3 billion in cost savings, and, with its peers, weather a brutal stock market,...
