A few months back, speculation buzzed about the continuation of Mando’s adventures in a feature film. Season 3 concluded with Moff Gideon apparently vanquished and Mando embracing Grogu as his ward and son, Din Grogu. Their apparent tranquility hints at the emergence of a new threat for Season 4.
Jon Favreau, the mastermind behind ‘The Mandalorian’ TV series, asserted that the script for Season 4 was already complete even before Season 3 concluded. However, recent indications suggest that the fourth season might not materialize after all.
Recently, confirmation emerged about an upcoming film centered on Mandalorian & Grogu. Directed by Jon Favreau and produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Dave Filoni, this new project is set to commence filming in 2024.
While details about the movie remain scarce, industry insider Jeff Sneider suggests that Sigourney Weaver is in discussions to join the cast, though her role remains undisclosed at this time.

The rumors that Mando’s adventures will continue as a movie were relevant several months ago. Season 3 wrapped up with Moff Gideon seemingly defeated for good and Mando officially adopting Grogu, making him his little apprentice and his son, Din Grogu. They seemed to find peace, which means a completely new threat ought to emerge for Season 4 to happen.
Jon Favreau – the creator of ‘The Mandalorian‘ TV series – claimed that the script for ‘The Mandalorian’ Season 4 was finished even before Season 3 officially ended, and now it seems that the fourth season might not even happen after all.
Some time ago it was confirmed that a movie focusing on Mandalorian & Grogu is in development. his new movie, directed by Jon Favreau and produced alongside Kathleen Kennedy and Dave Filoni, is scheduled to begin production in 2024.

With the release of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in 2013, the Marvel Cinematic Universe made the move from the big screen to the small screen. Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg), who portrays the director of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents’ team, serves as the focal point of Joss Whedon’s TV series.
Despite the seven seasons and 136 episodes, culminating in a two-part series finale that aired in 2020, there were some things left untouched. Yes, Marvel fans have been shipping Coulson and Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) for years now, hoping for a romantic storyline between the two fan-favorite Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. However, unfortunately, it appears that Marvel may have erred by ignoring this possible love tale.

The first full-length trailer for Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths - Part Three has just hit (via Toonado.com), and it teases what looks to be a high-stakes finale to this animated trilogy (and the Tomorrowverse as we know it).
With the Anti-Monitor on the loose, a whole host of heroes assemble to save the Multiverse, but it looks like that will be easier said than done when they also have Lex Luthor to contend with. Several other villains are also spotted, including The Joker, Scarecrow, and Two-Face.
In terms of cameos, the trailer ends with another Batman: The Animated Series tease. Batman Beyond also appears, but perhaps the biggest surprise comes when we return to the world of the Super Friends!
The Saturday morning cartoon aired between 1973 and 1985 on ABC and was produced by Hanna-Barbera. That classic animation style returns here and we're hoping the movie has even...

Justice League: Crisis On Infinite Earths - Part Three Cover Art Reveals The Movie's Lead Characters
When the news broke during last year's San Diego Comic-Con that the Crisis on Infinite Earths comic book was being turned into a three-part animated movie, DC fans rejoiced.
The CW previously adapted the story for the Arrowverse, but this version had the opportunity to bring together countless animated characters from across the Dcau in an ambitious retelling of the story. Unfortunately, the opening two chapters have been mostly disappointing.
There's still a chance it will end on a high note, of course, and a first look at Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths - Part Three's cover art has now found its way online (via Toonado.com).
Recreating the iconic shot of Superman holding the downed Supergirl, we also see Mister Terrific, Batman, Lex Luthor, Hawkgirl, Hourman, Wonder Woman, and The Joker. Looming in the background is the massive Anti-Monitor.
While a Watchmen movie is still expected to be released later this year,...

Crisis On Infinite Earths - Part Three Teaser Features Kevin Conroy's Batman And Mark Hamill's Joker
When we first learned that Warner Bros. Animation was developing a three-part Crisis on Infinite Earths movie, the response from fans was largely positive.
While the Tomorrowverse has been a little hit-or-miss, it's also delivered a lot of very good movies. Needless to say, the prospect of mixing DC characters from that world with so many other animated franchises was undeniably exciting.
Unfortunately, Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths - Part One and Part Two proved to be mostly underwhelming affairs, with the only noteworthy cameo being Terry McGinnis/Batman Beyond in the second instalment. As exciting as that may sound, he had no more than a couple of lines in the movie and failed to make much of an impact.
There may, however, be a chance the final instalment redeems itself.

Back when Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. first started, events of the MCU were often referenced in the show, with Nick Fury even making a cameo appearance at the end of the first season. But as the show continued, it started to drift away from the main universe and by the time the seventh season concluded, it became a standalone narrative that had nothing to do with the MCU.
Reflecting on the MCU sidelining the first Marvel show that was initially tied to the MCU, Ming-Na Wen shared her disappointment over its treatment.

Marvel’s divisive era began much earlier than its post-Endgame Phase Four arc and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. actor Ming-Na Wen may have just confirmed it on a public platform. The longstanding chasm between the frontrunner of Marvel television and the later Disney+ era has finally found some ground for debate and the Disney legend serves it up on a silver platter.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is one of the few rare shows in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that does not get the spotlight it truly deserves. This article contains spoilers for Battlestar Galactica.
Think back to the early 2000s. Star Trek‘s vision of an optimistic future no longer kept pace with the post-9/11 world. Instead, Trek writer Ronald D. Moore left the franchise to work with David Eick on reviving a cheesy sci-fi show from the 1970s best remembered for its weird cyborg dog and cool-looking evil robots.
And yet, somehow, Moore and Eick made Battlestar Galactica into a hit, an ambitious mix of deep lore, compelling character building, and religious yearning. Not even the controversial final season, which took leaps that rivaled the ending of Lost, could diminish the series popularity.
So why in the world did the Battlestar Galactica spinoffs flop so hard? For Eick, the answer is simple: Poor planning and lack of vision.
“Ron’s involvement vacillated so there was less consistency and less reliability and, as we shored up his absence,...

For the 15th anniversary of the "Battlestar Galactica" finale, I spoke with several of the show's writers and actors for an inside look at how it reached that conclusion. One of them was David Eick, the series' co-creator (with Ronald D. Moore). I asked the man who resurrected "Galactica" out of its campy 1970s roots why attempts to keep the franchise going faltered.
You see, "Battlestar" hadn't even been finished a year when a prequel spin-off debuted: "Caprica," an ensemble drama set more than 50 years before the series on the eponymous planet (one of the 12 colonies razed by the robotic Cylons at the outset of "Battlestar Galactica"). The series debuted in January 2010 and wrapped that November after a single, 19-episode first season -- its planned multi-year run aborted by low ratings.
Next, Eick and co. pivoted with "Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome," a second prequel (but after "Caprica") set during the first human/Cylon war.

It would seem that nudity in film is something that has existed from the very start of Hollywood. Although considered taboo to this date by a big chunk of its audience, there has always been a form of poetic expression to it. Most female celebrities are pressured into it and a majority of them have some or the other negative experience with it. Unfortunately, Kate Winslet is one such actress.

Arguably the best Batman and Joker combo in history is getting back together one last time, and the reunion comes as a pretty sizable surprise. Mark Hamill will once again reprise his role as The Joker alongside the late Kevin Conroy's Batman. Conroy voiced the Caped Crusader for decades, from "Batman: The Animated Series" in the early '90s through Conroy's much-too-early death in 2022. We knew Conroy's voice would be used as Batman once again, and now it has been confirmed that Hamill will be reuniting with his former co-star in one of Conroy's final posthumous performances.
According to IGN, Hamill's Joker and Conroy's Batman are both set to appear in the upcoming "Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths -- Part Three." The first part of the adaptation of the classic DC Comics storyline has already been released, with part two arriving in April. It's a big multiverse story,...

Following Carl Weathers’ death on Thursday at the age of 76, his friends from The Mandalorian have shared their raw emotions and their memories of the actor. “Words fail,” Pedro Pascal, who stars as the title character on the Disney+ series, wrote on Instagram, adding a broken-heart emoji as he posted a headshot of Weathers, who played ex-magistrate Greef Karga. Katee Sackhoff, the actor behind Mandalorian warrior Bo-Katan Kryze, spoke along similar lines on Instagram. “There are no words. I’m in complete shock,” she wrote. “ Carl and I found a friendship off-camera bonding over our love of the [Pacific Northwest] and the importance of family. He was so proud of his family. [The Mandalorian actor ] Brendan Wayne said it best… never did I ever meet a guy who seemed like he would live forever. Rest in peace, my friend. Vin Diesel's Riddick movies are an unusual franchise, driven by Diesel's love for the character and a desire to explore his world with series director David Twohy. Each entry is wildly different from the others, spanning different genres and even mediums, with a short detour into animation for "Riddick: Dark Fury." Riddick himself is a fun sci-fi creation, the last surviving member of an alien warrior race called Furyans, with reflective eyes that see in the dark. But where should newcomers to the franchise start, and what order should they watch the "Riddick" flicks in?
Thankfully the answer is fairly simple, dear reader, though which entries work best might vary from viewer to viewer. "Pitch Black" seems to be fairly universally beloved, but the other "Riddick" entries received more mixed receptions yet have their own cult followings. The movies are possible to enjoy on their own but might be a little confusing,...

Warning: The following contains spoilers for Oculus and The Fall of the House of Usher.
Of all the horror creators currently working in the business, few have the ability to tear at our heartstrings like Mike Flanagan. Beginning with the 2018 hit miniseries The Haunting of Hill House, the director’s horrific Netflix shows are just as likely to elicit cathartic sobs as hysterical screams. However, with a cast of unlikeable characters and a cavalcade of grisly deaths, Flanagan’s newest series The Fall of the House of Usher may signal a return to the grim horror of his early career. Films like Absentia, Hush, and Ouija: Original of Evil all center harsh and unforgiving stories – a gut punch rather than a bittersweet embrace. Perhaps the cruelest of these is Oculus, the 2013 story of a haunted mirror. Ten years after its premiere, this nihilistic movie still feels like a lean...

The Mandalorian’s Katee Sackhoff expects there to be a crossover between Bo-Katan and Ahsoka Tano at some point in the future.
While Bo took back Mandalore, Rosario Dawson’s former Jedi was working with Sabine Wren and Hera to stop new enemies from finding and bringing back Grand Admiral Thrawn from a distant galaxy.
While they failed to do that, the team did get reunited with the exiled Ezra Bridger.

Ahead of her appearance at Fan Expo in San Francisco, The Mandalorian star Katee Sackhoff, who plays Bo-Katan, sat down and offered her thoughts about a potential romance with Din Djarin.
Bo-Katan got a much brighter spotlight than usual in Season 3 of the hit Star Wars Disney+ series. In doing so, she also got to spend a lot more time with Din Djarin.
As the two got to know each other a lot more, many fans started shipping the two as a couple—gunning for their connection to get a lot deeper. While nothing romantic happened between the two, the conversation about the potential duo never slowed down.

Bo-Katan actress Katee Sackhoff commented on the speculation that Pedro Pascal's Din Djarin would be replaced in The Mandalorian with the Clone Wars character.
As Season 3 of Lucasfilm’s hit Disney+ series was airing, many fans felt the show's title was referring not just to Din Djarin, but also Bo-Katan due to her strong presence in the new episodes. This would make her the titular Mando instead—which certainly riled up the fanbase.
One of the show's executive producers supported the idea of Bo-Katan getting the spotlight. Then in an interview with Variety, Pascal himself noted how he "[thought the heavy focus on Bo-Katan] was great in that it also brings into full realization a beloved character that is from the world of [executive producer] Dave Filoni."

TV drama writers obsess over audience engagement, with a huge emphasis on personal stakes for their characters. The biggest of these is the prospect of death. But 70+ years of TV have taught us that mortality is rare for characters played by a show's stars. So, when actors leave a show or the decision is made to cut a character, writers see a golden opportunity to play the ultimate stakes game by going terminal.
It's safe to say character departures always upset a segment of a show's audience, however small. But not all such deaths are created equal. Some generate a wave of complaints, others a tsunami of outrage. It's the deaths of characters we love or love to hate, and those especially shocking or egregious, that drive fans to write all-caps messages, accompanied by many exclamation points, in fanzines, letter columns, and social media.
Here are 14 of the most controversial of the controversial.

This article contains spoilers for "Star Wars: Ahsoka" episode 6 — "Far, Far Away"
It may not seem like it at first glance, but "Ahsoka" is taking a pretty big risk right now. It's one thing to introduce a few characters like Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff) and Paz Vizsla into the mix on "The Mandalorian" that have previously only been fixtures in the animated world. It's another thing entirely to hinge a flagpole series on an emotional reunion between two characters that, to this point, have never been seen together in live-action. Even if hardcore fans watched every single episode of "Star Wars Rebels" and were deeply invested in the connection between Sabine Wren and Ezra Bridger, it's still a stretch to think that their relationship could pay off big dividends if and when they ever found each other again.

Spoilers for "Ahsoka" follow.
What compelled Sabine Wren (Natasha Liu Bordizzo), a Mandalorian, to remove and store her neon beskar armor in "Ahsoka"? Episode 4, "A Fallen Jedi," insinuates a depressing answer to this, as well as her fervor to find her long-lost battle brother Ezra Bridger (Eman Esfandi) in the far reaches of Wild Space. It's only when Sabine regains hope in Ezra's survival that she dons her beskar and Mandalorian weaponry again.
Sabine lands in a tight spot when she seemingly loses her Jedi master, Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson). Cornered by Baylan Skoll (Ray Stevenson), a former Jedi and Imperial-allied mercenary, Sabine holds the Wild Space map hostage. Through Force mind-reads and deduction, Baylan realizes that Sabine lost her Mandalorian birth family, which fuels her desperation to find Ezra. He tempts her to surrender the map in return for her survival, which gives the Thrawn loyalists the coordinates to Wild Space.

Samuel L. Jackson is a legendary actor, an anime connoisseur, the man with a thousand franchises, and the baddest guy alive. Jackson is responsible for some of the most iconic characters in modern cinema, and also one notorious potty mouth — even if Jonah Hill is the one with the record for most cursing in film — which made his role in "Star Wars" more than a bit strange.
When he was first introduced in "The Phantom Menace," Mace Windu spent most of the runtime sitting on a chair in the Jedi Council Chamber, talking down to Anakin and not much else. It wasn't until "Attack of the Clones" that Mace Windu finally reached the potential of a "Star Wars" character played by Samuel L. Jackson, wielding the first purple lightsaber in live-action "Star Wars," being a badass that stops parties, and giving us some of the best fighting moves in the prequels.

Ever since “The Mandalorian” first arrived on Disney+ in Nov. 2019, Lucasfilm has strived to bring the world of “Star Wars” to streaming in a way that would satisfy lifelong fans without alienating anyone who has never before traveled to a galaxy far, far away. In many ways, that mission faces its greatest challenge with the newest “Star Wars” show, “Ahsoka.”
Technically a spin-off of Rosario Dawson’s performance as former Jedi Ahsoka Tano on “The Mandalorian” and “The Book of Boba Fett,” the show is really a sequel to two “Star Wars” animated shows: “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” and “Star Wars Rebels.” Taken together, these shows, which ran from 2008 to 2020, span 208 episodes of TV, and roughly cover the events between “Star Wars: Attack of the Clones” and “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith” (on “Clone Wars”) and “Revenge of the Sith” and “Star Wars: A New Hope” (on “Rebels...

“Star Wars” could be in for a big year this Emmys as not one, not two, but three shows hope to snag nominations for Best Drama or Best Limited Series.
“Andor” and “The Mandalorian” are competing for Best Drama, with the latter hoping to make it three in a row, while “Obi-Wan Kenobi” is searching for a Best Limited Series bid. Here’s the breakdown.
Firstly, “Andor” is in a very good position as we lead up to the Emmy nominations. The show follows Diego Luna as the titular Cassian Andor in a spin-off story set before the spin-off movie “Rogue One,” which itself precedes “A New Hope.” “Andor” depicts how Cassian goes from a lone rogue to one of the most important parts of the Rebel Alliance as he comes across major players in the organization including Stellan Skarsgård‘s Luthen Rael.

In the third season of Lucasfilm’s “The Mandalorian” (now streaming on Disney+) the narrative took some interesting detours. While it had previously been centered on the title character (Pedro Pascal), it took on new meaning as it focused on the story of Bo-Katan (Katee Sackhoff), an outcast Mandalorian looking to reconnect with her tribe.
Further volume and texture were given to the series thanks to the emphasis on Greef Karga (Carl Weathers), who went from a morally nebulous underworld figure to a leader of the community of Navarro. While it might have veered away from the core idea of the series, it gave the series a much-welcomed new energy and kept the show fresh and exciting.
TheWrap spoke with Sackhoff and Weathers about their characters this season, the change in direction and whether they’ll show up in Filoni’s “Star Wars” movie.

“The Mandalorian” season three has been and gone quicker than you can say Grogu. The series will be looking to return to the Emmys this year after its first two seasons proved mighty popular with voters, landing an incredible 14 Emmy wins altogether as well as two Best Drama Series bids.
The show follows Pedro Pascal as the titular Mando, who searches for his place in the galaxy alongside his adoptive son Grogu, Aka Baby Yoda. Season three of the show widened the galaxy a little bit as Mando became involved in the Mandalorian uprising alongside Katee Sackhoff‘s Bo-Katan, who looked to reclaim her seat of power on the fallen planet of Mandalore, home of the Mandalorians.
Returning to the series was the ever-reliable Carl Weathers, who plays Mando’s ally Greef Karga. In this season, Greef has become a magistrate of Nevarro and rules with authority, clarity, and respect.

Music has always been an integral part of the “Star Wars” universe, dating back to the John Williams scores for the original movie trilogy. So will Emmy voters recognize one, two or all three of the recent “Star Wars” TV series in the scoring categories?
Vying for consideration: the 12-part “Andor,” with music by Emmy-winning, Oscar-nominated Nicholas Britell (“Succession”); the six-part “Obi-Wan Kenobi,” with a new theme by Williams and score by English composer Natalie Holt (“Loki”); and the eight-part third season of “The Mandalorian,” with music by Joseph Shirley. Britell spent more than two years on “Andor,” the backstory of “Rogue One” hero Cassian Andor (Diego Luna), including several months creating music that was played on the set during filming – from the Time Grappler’s hammer-banging signals on Ferrix to the alien electronica in the clubs on Morlana and the amateur funeral band playing a...
All aired on Disney+.

It wasn’t too long ago that sci-fi and fantasy shows struggled for recognition at the Emmys. Who would have thought way back when that a show like “Game of Thrones” would be able to win Best Drama Series a record-tying four times. Now we’re in an era when not one but two “Star Wars” series could be nominated for Best Drama at the same time: “Andor” and “The Mandalorian” are both strong contenders for the top prize. Do you think both will make the cut?
“The Mandalorian” already has a strong Emmy track record. Its first two seasons earned Emmy nominations for Best Drama in 2020 and 2021. The show has also contended for writing, directing, and acting awards. And it has won 14 times in Creative Arts categories. The show finally returned for its third season in the spring of 2023 after an almost three-year hiatus, so it’ll pick up where it left off,...

On today’s episode of Crew Call we talk with The Mandalorian EP and director of season 3 episodes one, seven and eight, Rick Famuyiwa.
Like the Westerns that Star Wars itself is based on, season 3 continued to dwell in that genre as it focused on Bounty Hunter Din Djarin’s (Pedro Pascal) unification with the Mandalorians. Of note here is the redemption of the tribe’s former leader Bo-Katan (Katee Sackhoff). Famuyiwa says we see “what she lost and what she’s gained, in terms of the trust from her people and her own leadership.”
(L-r): A Bartender Droid (Seth Gabel), Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff), Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal)
Famuyiwa explains that just as “Westerns started to grow and go beyond their rugged individualism to how we make a society work” so does The Mandalorian in season 3.

Most of the world knows Mark Hamill by sight. He played Luke Skywalker in the "Star Wars" franchise, an acting gig that has spanned over four decades. You might even have an action figure of him in your house right now. In addition, Hamill has slayed audiences with his voice work as the Joker in Batman TV shows, animated projects, and video games since 1992. Hamill's voice work (including his insanely accurate impression of "Star Wars" co-star Harrison Ford) is incredible, and while he won a Daytime Emmy for his role in "Elena of Avalor," he was never even nominated for the Joker. That's a crime, and it's unlikely to happen now that his Batman counterpart Kevin Conroy has died.
One job he did get a Daytime Emmy nomination for was voicing Darth Bane in season 6, episode 13 of the animated series "Star Wars: The Clone Wars," entitled "Sacrifice." However, according to...

After the triumphant “Star Trek: Picard” series finale, it’s important for Paramount+’s burgeoning “Trek” universe to keep the momentum up. And based on the “Strange New Worlds” Season 2 trailer that just dropped, that seems that’s very likely.
More than any of the other “Star Trek” shows on the streamer aside from “Picard” Season 3, “Strange New Worlds” put characters first, even building a whole episode around, say, Dr. Mbenga (Babs Olusanmokun) exploring a fantasy world created by his daughter as a way for him to process letting go of her. It was the kind of attention to detail that some of the supporting characters on “Discovery” had never quite received. In part because serialized storytelling simply makes that harder.
Based on the Season 2 trailer, “Strange New Worlds” is definitely delivering another character-based season of storytelling: There’s a glimpse of Nurse Chapel (Jess Bush) kissing an uncomfortable Spock,...
