Andy Sidaris’ Day Of The Warrior and Return To Savage Beach are available on Blu-ray From Mill Creek Entertainment
Andy Sidaris, the King of Girls, Guns, and G-Strings, made his mark on independent cinema with a string a 12-film string of nudity-packed action movies between 1973 and 1998 that are so profoundly goofy and heavily sexualized that, watching them in today, you’d swear they must be parodies. Now Mill Creek Entertainment is releasing all of Sidaris’ stories of top-heavy female secret agents on Blu-ray. His final pair of masterpieces were Day Of The Warrior (1996) and Return To Savage Beach (1998)
In Day Of The Warrior , somehow, the L.E.T.H.A.L. Agency’s Headquarters security has been breached by an unknown foe who managed to break into the Force’s computer system and tamper with classified documents regarding valuable information about its operatives.

July 9th is bringing all kinds of horror-rific awesomeness our way with this week’s genre-related Blu-ray and DVD releases. Easily one of my most anticipated discs of this year, the new Silent Hill Collector’s Edition from Scream Factory heads home on Tuesday as well as Mill Creek’s stunning Steelbook for Mothra, which looks to be a must-have for any movie monster aficionados out there. In terms of recent films, both Pet Sematary (2019) and Claire Denis’ High Life are hitting various formats this week, and for you Andy Sidaris fans out there, Savage Beach is hitting Blu-ray as well.
Other releases for July 9th include Dead of Night, Division 19, This Island Earth, and Waterworld in 4K.

Twin Peaks Recap is a weekly column by Keith Uhlich covering David Lynch and Mark Frost's limited, 18-episode continuation of the Twin Peaks television series. There's a brief, very beautiful moment in Part 7 of the new Twin Peaks, during the scene in which hotelier Benjamin Horne (Richard Beymer) and his secretary Beverly Paige (Ashley Judd) are investigating a strange sound emanating from the walls of the Great Northern. Ben points in the direction that he thinks the soft, soothing tone is coming from, and for a second he seems to be pointing right at the camera—past it, really…toward our world, at those of us on the other side of the fiction/fact divide. A blink-and-you'll-miss-it breach, but it lays some subtle groundwork for what follows: The aesthetically and thematically provocative Part 8 fitted the Twin Peaks mythos into our very real history of atomic destruction. And this week's...

Nine's 'True Story with Hamish and Andy'..
At the half-way point of the 2017 ratings year, the Seven, Nine and Ten networks all have something to crow about, and Australian-made dramas and reality shows continue to dominate.
Seven.s primary channel has won the prime-time ratings battle for 24 consecutive weeks, ranks at .No. 1 in total viewers and in the 16-39, 18-49s and 25-54 demographics, and has the year's top show, My Kitchen Rules.
Nine.s boast is that it is the only commercial network to grow its 6 pm-midnight share across total people and all demos for weeks 7 to 26, excluding Easter, while Seven and Ten have lost shares on those metrics.
Despite its corporate problems, Ten says it delivered three of the top seven Australian reality shows among 25 to 54s, the top three game/quiz shows and the top four Us drama series.

Len Kabasinski had a childhood much like many of us – grew up loving genre movies (for him, kung-fu and sci-fi, and sci-fi-kung-fu), but unlike many of us, when he grew up he had the drive and determination to parlay that into a filmmaking career which has now lasted over a decade and gone from strength to strength.
His first film was a little gem called “Swamp Zombies!!!” (yes, three exclamation marks) While it looks a lot like the legions of other no-budget forests-based horror movies that we’ve been subjected to in recent years, it’s differentiated by two things that would become Kabasinski trademarks – oddball casting and excellent fight scenes. The latter can be explained by his being a nationally ranked martial artist and knowing lots of people who can fight well on camera; but the former is probably the first reason I became a fan,...

If you’re going to watch the movies of Andy Sidaris, you’ll require a mental divide of some sort, especially if you’re the sort of person who believes we should all be treated and viewed equally. While we all, as humans, like looking at pretty pictures of people of whatever gender floats our boat, at some point – usually about half an hour in – of one of his movies, even the most dedicated admirer of boobs will be thinking “any time you want to get back to the plot is fine by me”.
Below is the scene that first interested me in the work of Mr Sidaris. If you like it, read on, if you groan, then We Are Movie Geeks has many articles about decent movies to enjoy. Here it is:

Chrissy Teigen appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen and Kristin Chenoweth on Wednesday and finally explained the reason behind the unforgettable face she made during Sunday night's Oscars. When Andy asked Chrissy what was going through her face during that Stacey Dash moment, the mom-to-be responded, "It was rough. It was so cringeworthy. I ain't got no poker face." Chrissy then went on to explain what it was like for everyone in the audience, adding, "I live for those moments, though. I love them." In case you don't remember, Stacey left everyone scratching their heads when she hit the stage at the Academy Awards and said, "I cannot wait to help my people out. Happy Black History Month!" This week's iZombie finds the show on a similar wavelength to its CW sibling Jane the Virgin, as Liv dives back into the dating world after eating some horny librarian brain. For most of its running time, "Fifty Shades of Grey Matter" is just as silly as the previous "Method Head." The episode is content to wring as much as it can out of Lusty Liv, until the final act arrives and things get serious. (Yes, the show finally made me care about the Stacey Boss stuff.)After collapsing at work, librarian Grace is rushed to the hospital where she dies. The doctors can't figure out the underlying cause of death, so her body is sent to Ravi and Liv, who discover that she was poisoned by a plant known as water hemlock. Grace was married, so Liv and Clive decide to question her now-widowed husband, Andy. When they arrive...

Sookie, Jason and Bill rallied up their vampire friends and staged a rescue mission to save Arlene and Nicole from becoming Hep-v dinner in True Blood’s “Death Is Not The End.”
Still reeling from the deaths of Alcide and Mrs. Fortenberry, Sookie (Anna Paquin) and Jason (Ryan Kwanten) have the honor of making death notifications to Alcide’s father, Jackson (Robert Patrick), and Hoyt (Jim Parrack), who is working on an oilrig in Alaska. After his talk with Hoyt, Jason feels beat, but Sookie tells him to man up – with Andy taking care of Holly and Kenya working with the crazy vigilantes, Jason is the law of Bon Temps and they have things to do.
First stop for Jason, Sookie and Sam (Sam Trammell) is the Bellefleur’s. Holly (Lauren Bowles) doesn’t remember anything that happened to her before she was found bleeding and stumbling in the woods,...

Alicide died at the hands of the Bon Temps vigilantes and Pam convinced Eric to go after Sarah Newlin with her in True Blood’s “Fire in the Hole.”
Sookie And Bill Try To Track Hep-v Vamps
In Bon Temps, Sookie (Anna Paquin) put her master plan with Bill (Stephen Moyer) in motion: she was going to drink his blood (after last season’s transfusion, the blood she already had in her system is no longer adequate to alert Bill of her being in danger), and then sit in the woods as bait for the Hep-v vamps. Sookie would allow herself to be taken, just like the others, and Bill would then be able to locate them and rescue Sookie, Arlene (Carrie Preston), Holly (Lauren Bowles) and Nicole (Jurnee Smollett-Bell) from becoming Hep-v vamp dinner.
Bill isn’t all too thrilled with the plan, but he uses the time to...

Animal Planet is planning another puppy-themed special, it ordered a World Cup companion titled World Pup. How many puppies will it take to make me forget what John Oliver said about the World Cup on the latest Last Week Tonight?
Ryan Murphy received a call from the President, who said he found The Normal Heart to be incredibly moving. I can’t help but wonder if Ned‘s battle reminded the President of the challenges of being a community organizer.
Comedy Central has renewed Inside Amy Schumer, the animated anthology Trip Tank and Review.
Speaking of, Review‘s Andy Daly talked with Hitfix about how getting a second season required agreeing to budget cuts. However, Daly seemed to think he knew how to put together another season for less money, “We were supposed to originally make eight episodes, and we turned it into nine, because we’d written too much and shot too much,...

CBS has set up a site for fans of How I Met Your Mother to send a farewell message through various social media sites. The collection of sentiment is enough to make me stop muttering about how the comedy should have ended seasons ago.
Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss tell EW that they see a seven-season run for the fantasy drama. “Seven gods, seven kingdoms, seven seasons. It feels right to us.” I’d find that comforting, but that also leaves a good amount of time for things to go wrong.
Then again, how wrong can things get as long as Lady Olenna keeps dropping the quips.
Based on my experience with The Vampire Diaries, my reaction to hearing about the surprise departure on The Originals was a shrug, but that’s based entirely on how irritating the character was on The Vampire Diaries. For...

Brian F. O’Byrne (Prime Suspect, FlashForward) has nabbed a lead role in ABC’s drama pilot Exposed, from writer Charles Randolph, Peter Traugott’s Tbd Entertainment, and Universal TV. It centers on Anna, an investigative journalist who will stop at nothing to uncover the truth including making questionable alliances. O’Byrne, repped by Gersh and Lisa Richards Agency, will play Quigg, a very powerful, mysterious man who works for the Pentagon. Related: 2014 ABC Pilots British actress Jessica Knappett (The Inbetweeners Movie) and Iris Bahr (The Last Exorcism) are set as female leads opposite David Schwimmer in ABC comedy pilot Irreversible, from Peter Tolan and Sony Pictures TV. We all know what happened to Will Smith after The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. And at the end of last year we discovered that his co-star Alfonso Ribeiro (aka Carlton) was clearly still a busy man as he headed into the jungle to munch on some kangaroo balls in I'm a Celebrity.
But whatever happened to Geoffrey, the Banks family's long-suffering stiff upper lipped butler? Scratch your heads no more, because Digital Spy has caught up with Joseph Marcell to chat about trips to Brighton nightclubs, Turkish fans and why his lack of sex appeal is holding back a reality TV career.
Joseph, how often do you start interviews with people calling you Geoffrey?
Almost every other day. I walk round London and people are shouting, "Geoffrey, Geoffrey, Geoffrey". Last year I was in Turkey and it was the same thing. I was in Romania and it was the same thing.

BBC Three has released a first-look trailer for stand-up comedian and singer Nick Helm's new comedy series Uncle.
Picked up by the BBC after initially airing a pilot on Channel 4, the show follows the story of a dissolute out-of work musician, who forges an unlikely alliance with his 12-year-old nephew Errol.
Speaking about the plot, Helm said: "Across the series, Andy learns to be less selfish, and to be more responsible... basically, he grows up.
"At the start of the series, Andy is a typical 30-something man-child: he's completely stuck in being a teenager and he's made to look after his 12-year-old nephew, who is old before his time.
"They learn from each other - it's all very moral."
The comedian claimed that the project was inspired by West Anderson's Royal Tenenbaums, and said that it fitted into the history of Baby Cow comedy productions.

Stats for the 2013 ratings year confirm that Australian audiences continue to overwhelmingly prefer home grown shows to Us and British imports.
The bad news for the free-to-air broadcasters was that collectively their share of the 16-54 audience dropped by 3% and their primary channels were down by about 6%.
ABC-tv ended the ratings year as the number 3 network with a prime-time share of 14.6% (up from 13.6%).
Reality remains the most favoured genre: The top 50 titles were dominated by The Voice, My Kitchen Rules, The Block and The X Factor.
The top-rating Aussie dramas were A Place to Call Home, Packed to the Rafters, House Husbands and Winners & Losers.
Only five imports figured in the top 50: Downton Abbey, The Blacklist, Revenge, The Big Bang Theory and New Tricks.
The most popular sports event was Seven.s Afl Grand Final, which drew an average of 2.7 million viewers and 2.47 million for the post-match presentations.

Moviefone's Top DVD of the Week:
"The World's End"
What's It About? The third installment of Edgar Wright's Cornetto Trilogy, following 2004's "Shaun of the Dead" and 2007's "Hot Fuzz," "The World's End" features a group of five reuniting friends. They embark on an epic drinking marathon in an effort to top their pub crawl from 20 years prior, only this time an unexpected alien invasion strikes.
Why We're In: A refreshing blend of comedy and sci-fi, "The World's End" is the perfectly charming film to spoof the apocalypse genre and keep you endlessly entertained. Plus, it features hilarious (as always) performances from Wright staples Nick Frost and Simon Pegg.

Produced by industry veterans Microprose, alongside developers Kung Fu Factory (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Rooftop Run, Spartacus Legends) and published by Majesco Entertainment, Girl Fight is the latest 3D one-on-one fighter to hit current gen consoles – this time via Psn and Xbla – and brings with it an array of sexy, semi-clothed, fighters to gamers’ consoles. Female gamers, prepare to object at the objectification!
Reminiscent of a number of previous-gen titles, Girl Fight is one part The Matrix, one part Rumble Roses and one part All-Star Fighters (remember that old PS2 game?). The “plot” of the game goes something like this:
Players will help the stunning and lethal women battle their way out of The Foundation, a shadowy science organization looking to weaponize the psionic fighting abilities – Psi Powers – of the all-female cast. With no moral or ethical compass and unlimited funding, The Foundation collects its test subjects from all around the world,...

This is another edition of Short Starts, where we present a weekly short film(s) from the start of a filmmaker or actor’s career. This weekend sees the release of two major films directed by former child stars. There’s Rush by Ron Howard, who got his true start as a boy on TV shows like Dennis the Menace and The Andy Griffth Show, and Don Jon by Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who got his true start as a boy on TV shows like Family Ties and Roseanne. So, given the link, I thought it would be worth it to double up on the latest column. Both actors eventually became directors (Howard made the full switch while Gordon-Levitt is actually still a rising screen star), and before the made features they directed a few shorts. Howard’s are more like home movies made with his brother Clint and friends. Gordon-Levitt’s are mostly animated collaborative works produced through...

With a name like Cockneys vs. Zombies, you can pretty much guess what you’re in for while watching the latest UK zombie import from director Matthias Hoene. Featuring a handful of recognizable British actors (Alan Ford Ftw!), Cockneys vs. Zombies really doesn’t offer much ingenuity in the zombie subgenre, but it’s a rather enjoyable movie if you’re looking for foul-mouthed, gun-toting octogenarians battling hordes of the undead with a bit of a caper twist thrown in for good measure.
Cockneys vs. Zombies follows gangster brothers Andy (Harry Treadaway) and Terry (Rasmus Hardiker) who are planning a heist in order to stop the retirement home their grandfather lives in from closing down. Of course, nothing goes as planned when a zombie outbreak occurs suddenly, forcing Andy and Terry to retreat and figure out a way to save their grandpa and his friends trapped inside their facility who...

Alas, the end is near. This day was long coming, but it’s difficult to accept that it’s finally here. The Office had been filming its series finale over the past week and completed it over the weekend on Saturday, March 16. Of course there’s still a while before we see the end and it’s officially over, but for the cast, it was the last day on set and many of them Tweeted their goodbyes to the show as they completed filming.
If you’re a huge fan of The Office like me, then you’ll probably start getting a little misty-eyed when you read these Tweets. We return with the latest edition of the Indie Spotlight, highlighting recent independent horror news sent our way. Today’s feature includes release details for A Resurrection, the first teaser trailer for Ten, a review of Smiley, and much more:
First Teaser Trailer for Ten: “Ten is a collectivist, post-exploitation psychological thriller devised as a possible explanation for the events of the 1972 Spektor Island Massacre. On a cold December afternoon, ten women arrive at a mansion on Spektor Island, famed for years of reported hauntings and strange activities. Will they live through the night?
The all-female cast film is a response to exploitation, slasher, and thriller films, with particular focus on the kind of storytelling prominent in b-movies and genre films from the 1950s to the 1980s. It explores the meaning and fluidity of identity and takes a number of surprising turns, paying homage to filmmakers and producers such as Alfred Hitchcock,...

It's still January, but already Detroit is looking forward to a weekend in the middle of May, when sweaty music lovers will crowd Hart Plaza for the city's annual electronic music festival, Movement.
The thumping bass and substance-fueled (so we've heard) event, which will take place May 25, 26 and 27, has already released the Phase One lineup. And there's some very notable names, like Carl Craig and Derrick May.
Tickets are already available on the Movement website, where they're counting down the days (114, in case you were wondering), hours, minutes and seconds until the sound of techno techno fills the air. Relive the madness from last year -- and get ready for Movement 2013 -- with help from the pulse-quickening trailer posted above. A text list of Phase One performers follows, if you're into that sort of thing. Are you looking forward to the electronic music festival, or will you be avoiding Hart Plaza?...

Well, that was definitely the best bachelor party I've ever been to.
On television. I mean, as Andy got to play with the Colts! And Tom got to watch Ron Swanson have scotch squirted into his hands and rubbed in! The self-explanatory "Two Parties" was a fun welcome back into the world of the Parks and Recreation crew. It was a nice idea to split the men and women up and makes perfect sense Ann's party would flop.
I must admit I did wish for a little more fun in the girl's camp, but it was logical that Leslie would end up putting her concern for a park above the fun of her bachelorette party. And that she'd enlist her friends to help her dig up some ancient artifacts. Leslie's work is such a huge part of her life, it's impossible for her to escape it even for an evening with her girlfriends.

From Season Two's "Christmas Party" to Season Seven's "Classy Christmas," The Office has a rich history of great holiday episodes. "Dwight Christmas" was a worthy extension of that tradition.
It all begins and ends with the performance of the eponymous salesman who finally got to have Christmas done his way at Dunder-Mifflin. Rainn Wilson, and his ability to go the extra mile in Dwight's portrayal of Belsnickel, brought the half hour to a whole other level.
Seeing the smile on Dwight's face when Jim returned, and the subsequent giant man hug, was also a huge highlight. With Michael Scott no longer in our lives on a week-to-week basis, the relationship between Jim and Dwight has become the heart of The Office, and that heart was beating at an all-star level during "Dwight Christmas."
What made this half hour stand out from the pack of decent installments this season was...
