William Smith Keane complements an extensive career as an actor in
theater and independent film, with his work as a short-story and screen
writer.
On stage, he has portrayed a myriad of characters in numerous plays,
running the gamut from Beralde in Moliere's "Imaginary Invalid," to
Ensign Pulver in "Mr. Roberts," to E.K. Hornbeck in "Inherit the Wind,"
to Joe Conroy in Lanford Wilson's "Balm in Gilead," to name just a
handful.
As a writer, William has several screenplays to his credit which
exhibit true originality and a distinctive perspective of the world.
Employing his unique style of humor, he also co-wrote and co-produced
the hilarious, irreverent, anthology-comedy television pilot, "Tales of
a Fly on the Wall."
In addition, William is a winner of the 10th Annual Hollywood Film
Festival's Hollywood Screenplay Awards, for his screenplay, "In the
Heat of the Light," and most recently is creator, writer and
co-director of the new Web Series, "Ohh, Dericious with Spike Ree."
