Chris was tricked into theatre at an earlier age. A native to Nova
Scotia, he was educated at Dalhousie University and majored in
technical theatre. Positions in lighting, sound and technical direction
took Chris all over Canada, from big venue and arena tours, to shoving
a show in a bush plane and touring to Northern Labrador. Motion picture
lighting work started in Nova Scotia in 1990. Presently working as a
Gaffer, Chris hopes someday to get behind the Camera and eventually
become a director of photography.
He is the co-creator of a the 12 volt DMX dimming system used on K-19,
The Widowmaker. 1400 dimmers were made to control the over 3000 12 volt
lights that were placed in the original Russian control panels used on
the set.
