Mandy's accomplishments in comedy film won her a Sony Pictures Television Directing Fellowship in 2014, and "Best New Filmmaker" from NewFilmmakers LA in 2015. In addition to being selected for festivals all over the country, all three of her short films were released theatrically in theatres nationwide in Shorts HD's compilation, "Stars in Shorts: No Ordinary Love." Killing Vivian (2013)_, which she wrote and directed, earned her Top Female Filmmaker at the Chicago Comedy Film Festival. Her next short film, Somebody's Mother (2014), won Best Short at the California Independent Film Festival, plus Best Director and Best Actress at the Hang Onto Your Shorts Film Festival. Her film, You're Breaking Up (2015), opened the Comedy Night at the Palm Springs International ShortsFest, and was nominated for Best Comedy Short and Best Comedy Performance by NewFilmmakers LA.
Mandy co-created and directed The Young Hillary Diaries, Lifetime's first original digital series, and wrote the Amazon digital series Dropping the Soap (2017), which won Jane Lynch an Emmy for Best Actress in a Short Form Original in 2017. Her first feature, Jess Plus None (2023), which Time Out London called a "laugh out loud comedy" had its world premiere at BFI Flare, was awarded a grant from Warner Bros. One-Fifty, and won Best Narrative Feature at the Imagine This Film Festival, Festival Favorite and Directors Choice at Cinema Diverse, and an Audience Award & Jury Prize at the Woods Hole Film Festival.
Mandy lives in LA and London with her husband Patrick Fabian, and their daughters, Abbey and Delilah.
